I’m going with the echo. I also used to work at Northern tools. They have a small engine repair shop. Every time some steel equipment came in they hated working on it. One guy didn’t even know how to work on one. But when it came to echo it was a different story
@@CuttaSquad 100% I think Stihl quality (for trimmers at least) has dipped in the last few years. I have an old KM-90R power head from 2012 it’s best up but it will still start, even if it’s been sitting for a while. But seems like the newer ones 2020 and up or so have problems. I still like their backpack blowers though.
That's crazy everyone in my family has Stihl and never had issues. Blower, edgers, weed eaters etc. But my father did have issues with Echo when he tried them back in the day
@@LordHelpUs7-7-7 will check that out. Looked fine to me the other day, it was replaced when general service was done back in Jan / Feb so shouldn’t be to bad.
@@BigRedServicesLLC not the actual filter for the carb, there's an exhaust filter that can get clogged to shit and not let the motor breathe. I know a decent amount of people who couldn't get their Stihl to start because of that, unscrew that little filter in there and hit it with a propane torch till it cleans up. Happy trimming my brotha!
@@BigRedServicesLLC I don't know what to say then man maybe you really did get a dud😂, I have the cheapest one fs38 and she runs like a champ! One thing the dealer did stress to me was to make sure mix was always perfect. The Stihls definitely are picky with fuel mixture, last thing I can think of is your Wacker probably needs a carburetor cleaning. Now my hands are off deck if it's not the issue😂 not many other things to check after that at all.
@@LordHelpUs7-7-7 yeah idk seems like the quality hasn’t been as good since 2020 or so. My older Stihl trimmer will start its beat up but it starts at least

@@NewHopeCutzandLawnCare for gas trimmers I definitely agree.
Yes echo for life I have 2 peace from echo
My Stihl blowers I love but Team Echo for my trimmers and both of mine are older than yours💪🏾
@@bigsonslawncare ha I know I’ve seen that old 210 ya have. I had one of those too many years ago a Home Depot special

@@bigsonslawncare I sold my old 210 to my cousin it was a 2006-2007 model iirc. He used it for like 5-6 more years until it finally died.

Listen, when you’re running commercial, no matter what the brand, you want to replace your trimmers every 3 to 4 years. Exactly because of this.
My echo battery trimmers have 2 full seasons on them, and so far working great, all batteries still holding a charge as well.
You have to burp the gas cap and check filter
