Love it! I'll always say that A Christmas Carol is one of the greatest stories ever written. I read it every December, and watch any movie version of the story - even those cheesey Hallmark flicks. Very jealous of this, 1984 is one of my favourite 'to the book' versions, and George C Scott is great as Scrooge...
I had no idea that we nearly moved to Shrewsbury ha ha ha, that was a little surprise for me to hear. I love this story especially the muppet version ha ha, but I love all history and places of stories and old worldy type of places and this is just supercute loved this xxx
They could clean up his area a bit better. Interesting knowing it's a real person and grave. ❤ I wonder did he actually convert to the better man or somebody just made up a story of how he could have changed? 2025 almost 200 years back.
It was a bit tatty around the grave, the grave itself was one that was already in the grave yard, and the people making the film had it re engraved with scrooges name on it. So who ever is in that grave has a lot of visitors but not for them 🤔
Shrewsbury's a beautiful place, when lynne was just young her Dad worked for a company we nearly moved down their, but he went to a different company, wished we had moved their it's lovely, gosh u had a long drive its in Shropshire isint it, I new about the scrooge grave, think there's a pub they used the back of in the film, think its the oldest building in town u go through the pub at the back but iv forgotten the name of it. Great vlog xx
We have never found anything about the other writing on the gravestone. We just heard it was an old gravestone that was well worn. It would be good to see what it said.
