Show No Mercy was the album that got me into metal, really wish slayer stayed with that sound. But bands like Hellbringer and Deathhammer are doing a good job.

Cool stuff. You shared some of my favorite stuff like Incantation, Immolation, Autopsy, those first 2 Gorguts albums, Nuclear Death etc. and I’m actually starting to get ‘Seventh Son’ myself. I always liked my older trad metal even getting into more underground stuff.
I grew up with heavy metal and death metal, but when my dad showed me the song moonchild it blew my mind. Seventh son is a very important album in my opinion for those trying to write their own stuff.

I saw Anacrusis open for OVERKILL on the HORRORSOPE tour when I was 13 or 14! Bro in Law at the time took me!! Anacrusis was touring for Manic Impression!! All those are great albums!! 😎 👍

I have a huge thrash metal collection from my teenage years. Most of the classics and then shit like Solstice, Forbidden, Corrosion of conformity and Vio-lence. From death metal I got most of osdm classics half n' half on cd and vinyl.

deicide, death, morbid angel, incantation etc is all mainstream death metal bands, i guess i just may be too underground with things that something underground to the world isnt to me
@@jimmyfromtheblock3714 agree with you man. Death, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Dismember, Obituary etc. definitely the popular death metal bands. With Cannibal Corpse being the most mainstream death metal band imo
it's all relative. On the grand scope of all music genres, almost all of these are underground bands. Even if we narrow down the selection to metal only, most of these remain underground to most listeners. But if you are within the death metal scene, and are like our boy jimmy, a BDM caveman, these bands are definitely the mainstream of the underground. Even the albums mentionned here vary in how mainstream they are and compared to what. For example we have maiden and priest here, which can't compared to something like incantation in terms of popularity. But if we compare incantation to other death metal bands, that's where you can say they are "popular". But still, I think cianide, morpheus aren't on the level of popularity the other mentionned bands within their subgenres.

They’re not like traditional mainstream bands like Metallica or Black Sabbath but to people who are into extreme metal, they’re well known bands
