Port Ban Beach - Isle of Iona - Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini 3 Pro

Port Ban Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Isle of Iona (next to the White Strand of Monks and the North End Beach). It is also one of the smallest beaches on the island. It is located on the western coast of Iona, next to a far bigger beach poetically called Bay at the Back of the Ocean and divided from it by a string of small, rocky islands. Port Ban Beach is also flanked by not-too-high cliff faces, which, along with the mentioned islands, behave like a natural sea bulwark, making this beach the safest for swimming. It also makes this spot an ideal mooring place for yachts and boats (hence the name, which translates to White Port). The sand of the beach is not as white as the sand of the northern beaches of this island, but it is still very bright and has an interesting feel and look. It contains tons of tiny pieces of sea shells giving it a cool pearly shine. These crushed shells are small enough not to make walking barefoot unpleasant. View from the beach is also spectacular, to already mentioned small rocky islands to the front, and small hills to the back, which remind Assynt's landscape. Both Port Ban and Bay at the Back of the Ocean are located next to Iona's Golf Course, around a 20-minute walk from the only village on the island.

Yes, it would be nice 😁. The worst spring and summer since forever. For some reason I still have like 10 videos in editing queue though😁. Out of our 4 days visit to Iona we had only 6 hours of sun, but thanks to the size of this island we managed to film nearly everything we wanted there 😊. Last week we went to Sutherland to climb Ben Hope (we got drenched and didn't see any views due to heavy clouds) and out of 4 days trip we got only few sunny hours, but even with this little I was able to add 2 films to the queue - Stac Pollaidh (Jola was happy as she finally managed to find the way to the top 😜) and Ahnahaird Beach. So I can't complain too much 😊😊.
