I got a CT recently a t the emergency room and was cleared to go home then saw on my paperwork that the radiologist listed evidence of chronic granulomatous disease. I spoke to my primary care and he said I have scattered calcified granuloma s on my lungs but they aren't worried about it because I am not having symptoms. The ct was done because of some issues post gallbladder removal surgery. Is this really not a big deal or should I get a second opinion ?

I would get a second opinion!! That’s ridiculous! 🤬 Just because you’re not having symptoms doesn’t mean you wanna wait around to find out, especially advancing what could possibly be a fungal lung infection that needs to be treated with anti fungals. It can actually be deadly. I’m having a lot of coughing mucus and mucous plugs for years now!
I have had 3 chest CT’s and they want me to have another after 6 months because I have some 4-5 mm (small) benign nodules. The inflammation keeps increasing every time I have a chest CT and they just keep telling me to come back in another 6 months for another one! Beyond infuriating! So I’ll just wait till I get cancer? I believe I have invasive candida in my lungs. I called my PCP today to get me in for a blood test so they can send it for a culture and see if it grows Candida! Still waiting on a call from the nurse! Our medical system sucks!! 🤬

So I noticed in the notes from an ER visit where they did a chest x-ray, it states evidence of prior granulomatous disease. But they never mentioned it to me. So should I be concerned about it?
