Pandora Papers: The Kenyatta’s secret companies

The Kenyatta family, Kenya's first family twice over, has perhaps, one of the deepest investments in Kenya’s economy than any political family. But a global leak of documents from offshore secrecy locations has exposed the family's long standing use of companies, and trusts in Panama and the British Virgin Islands. The leak is called Pandora Papers. John Alan namu you failed to explain if it was tax evasion or tax avoidance you preyed on Kenya feelings Uhuru was a beneficiary. Its perfectly legal to have offshore accounts having your HQ in another country isnt illegal. People use offshore account for lower tax its business though some use it for illegal purpose. Kenyatta family is wealthy, this is a ploy to destabilize the country by playing rich vs poor. Its all political if they created offshore years ago why did they leak now, why not last year.

Hi. The core question wasn't about evasion or avoidance, but about secrecy. Nor did we talk about their having offshore accounts, but rather, companies, trusts and foundations. On it being a ploy to destabilize Kenya, I offer that this leak included leaders and elite from around the world. The nature of this reporting is that one has to dig, verify and confirm that documents are authentic. That takes time.
