While the effects seem rather dated at some points, it is a good ride - understand that it is catered for young children. There is no track system used so the boat would keep "bumping" the river walls as it moves along.
Recorded with Fujifilm X100. The camera would persistently try to focus, so some parts are just out of focus.
So sad Madagascar no more 😢
so this is what i'm expected for one year. Well it looks great, it's just that they shoulve done some drop or something. At least they tried.
@Sladeling If that's the case, then I worry for Transformers since that ride was supposed to have "stunning robotics".
@mrtushable If you're sitting at the side (and quite unlucky) the sides of the waterfall will actually splash inwards towards the boat! Alright, it's not JPRA wet I know.
Yeah, we want a drop or some exciting ride element. It's never going to happen though - we can only hope for improved animatronics in the future.
@JasielMartin92 I thought it was alright and very enjoyable for a family-friendly ride. Probably for most adults the ride is incredibly boring, but it was designed for children. Still, I was hoping for the similar or better animatronics - e.g the Sinbad's Storybook Voyage ride (at Tokyo DisneySea) - given how that ride was built a decade ago.
@mrtushable It is possible to get wet at some points. There was supposed to be a waterfall along the ride path but it wasn't working last night.

I know but at least with the projector screens, the characters look more realistic, and the movements are more lifelike.
The animatronics look lousy. They should have just used the projector screens for the whole ride.
that looked......really uneventful. Characters were really disappointing when you look at the technology used in most Disney rides now to make their AAs move smoothly. Personally I am not surprised. Really unimpressive considering what other parks have to offer with AA's. It needed some kind of drop too, but oh well.
@TheStorm4life wat do u xpect. . . ? i find it fun after taking the cylon ride and the Revenge of the Mummy ride ,it calms me down after all that heart-pounding exciting moments i had , so i'd say this ride is a good one and i think ure a bring person urself . . this ride is good if u intend to have a good laugh . . . ((=
@missLYssaable the prob with this ride is, there is no trill. Ok fine I get ur point , it's a ride that would be relaxing . The reason for it being so boring is the fact that the animals were so fake , and there was no story behind it . I dont understand
@dejiki i went on it today at the opening
the waterfall actually doesnt make u wet as it stops as u r passing thru it...
but there were some differences from the preview and i was slightly wet...
i still feel a drop is needed
I also went for the VIP event yesterday
I was very disappointed at the fact there was no drop
Absolutely no excitement
There no chance u will get wet
There should have been a drop at the end
@dejiki.. Oh.. Then u can slightly wet but not like Jurassic park rapids because got no drop..... All it needed to get me to go back is one drop!!!!
reminds me of Pirates Of The Caribbean. but even Pirates of the Caribbean have drops! maybe more of Its A Small world.
