Flexi Rods on Weave- How to effortlessly get big voluminous curls in your hair. This is an easy step by step tutorial that is perfect for beginners that shows how to flexi rod weave. The flexi rod set that I demonstrate is very simple and fast and can be done on short hair, long hair, straight hair, wavy hair, damp hair, or dry hair, but not dripping wet hair hair or weave / sew in.
The hair I am using is Brazilian body wave, but I straightened it a few days prior to recording this video. The flexi rod set also works when the hair is in its natural wavy state first. I do not have to straighten it before you put in the flexi rods. However if your weave or your natural hair or your sew in are very curly, i would recommend straightening it first with a flat iron to get the best result with the flexi rod curls.
I think these curls come out much better and last much longer than when I curl my hair with a straighter or a curling iron, and this method takes much less time.

@@diyajain4947 mines super straight and long too. Everytime ive fallen asleep with wet hair, I wake up and it keeps its bride of Frankenstein shape so hopefully that means this will work for me. Just ordered some from Amazon
Mix water/conditioner in a spray bottle, wet it as much as u want, flexi rod it at night & take them out the next day, curls will last a week or longer!

I have extremely thick, long hair, so I'm tepid about any "curling method" that I see. However, seeing hair like yours, that is so easily styled while being as thick as mine, I'm sold!

I just discovered I love flexi rods! I also saw someone say you can use them on totally dry hair. I was like no, no way. Everyone knows you do rollers on damp hair! Out of curiosity I put one in on top, bone dry, no product, clean hair and I was shocked that it gave me a spiral curl I had to get wet to make it go away! I only left the rod in maybe an hour or 2 on the dry hair. Not even all night. I am still shocked. I was lookin for a faster way to put them in but my hair is too short to use just 4. I wish I could! Ill remember this for when its longer. Thanks!

This was encouraging. I did about 8 rods last night and it looked perfect, but it did not last all day. So I am going to try 4 tonight with a spray bottle of water to get a little dampness on there. I am experimenting with what sizes of rods look the best and what products will hold the curl.
Foam wrap, or alcohol free mouse. I usually get about 4 days out of it. Alcohol free hairspray if you want it a tad hard

Edit: These past 2 years Ive stopped straightening my long hair constantly and it’s grown to a length I haven’t reached before. Gonna try and keep growing it and stop the heat. Just placed an order of these today, hopefully this is a better solution than me lopping it off out of annoyance lol.

You’re soooo pretty!! And I love flexi rods! Curling irons are alright but these things give me such beautiful curls! My favourite thing to do is brush them with a certain brush and it makes my hair really fluffy and princess-like😄❤️

Excellent video, and thank you for sharing this! I like the way you make a hook in one side of the rod before you roll your hair. Seems like such a great idea, but I haven't seen anyone else do it in videos (I've been looking into the flexi rods, and watching a number of videos to get a sense of whether they might work for me). The vertical ringlet rolling technique also seems like a great idea.
