    Great install video. You've sold me. I am putting a Sea Swivel on my Sportsman 282TE .

    Huge addition. Add an option to drill/tap/install an extra SS insert to snap the pin into when in the stowed position for additional security. That is an item you would have to custom install. But for a grand, it needs it. The skill level required for the install should allow that to happen.

      Actually that’s a pretty good idea. I will mention that to them!

    Looks great man! If you put the painters tape over where you’re drilling your holes it’ll help the gel coat from chipping!

      No man, you run your drill in reverse for a while, then go to forward.

    Great video. Exactly what I was looking to get. Sold me on it. Any video on the install of the wiring, charger and battery for the Rhodan?

    • @JackedUpFishing

      No I didn’t do wiring video as it’s pretty typical for all. I love the Seaswivel though.

    So the kit didn’t come with hardware to mount the four corner holes for the bottom plate? Why would they overlook that

    • @JackedUpFishing

      No I would imagine because where it is mounted could be different on each application. But I did mention including the 1/2 inch Allen wrench because nobody had one locally.

      We started adding it to all the kits. His was one of the very 1st ones.

    With the motor mounted that far back from center line do you find that the motor uses more battery power to hold spot lock

    • @JackedUpFishing

      No it seems to work just like it is in the center. I was worried about that as well. But it’s awesome held my 37 in honest 3-4 the other day

    Great info thanks for the video...just got my Sea Swivel to install on my 230CC Finseeker!!! How big is the hole for the main bolt, need to make sure i have the correct size bit.

    • @JackedUpFishing

      I am not sure it has been a while. Also if you see on my install video I didn’t drill the hole I used a previous rod holder hole. I’m sure it’s in the instructions though

    Love the install man super helpful. When mounting the quick release bracket to the sea swivel top plate, did you cut off the protruding bolts underneath or did you buy new hardware so it could clear?

    • @JackedUpFishing

    Man it looks really good but I ain’t gonna like the whole shaft looks really flimsy idk if cuz it’s so long….but it has to be on a boat ur size it just looks like it would flex bad when full powered but then again I don’t have one and don’t know just my opinion I hope it works flawlessly cuz I really like ur channel let’s see it in action!

    • @JackedUpFishing

      There are bigger boats using them so I am sure it will be fine. Fingers crossed 🤞

    • @SamMartinez65

      That shaft is specifically designed to be flexible under load. That reduces the stress point on the mounts. I have a 96" shaft that flexes a good bit as well. Works as intended. No issues. Best accessory on my boat. Instant spot lock even in sporty seas. I have not dropped an anchor once since I got it.

    Pretty cool but looks to me like another more complicated thing to corrode, cease up and go wrong. I hope it works for many years for you but I doubt it will.

    • @JackedUpFishing

      Only time willl tell. But either way the materials that this mount is made of I am sure it will outlast the trolling motor spot lock.

    • @1957cajun

      @@JackedUpFishing I just don’t see how you stop water, salt and dirt from building up between those plates and in and around the bearing. It doesn’t matter what the materials are made of it’s going to bind up unless there is something there to prevent contamination that I can’t see in this video. But good luck!

    • @JackedUpFishing

      @@1957cajun only time will tell. That’s all I can say. I will stand by the previous statement though. I am positive it will outlast the spot lock.

    Thank you for the video , from a 30 year Marine Rigger , please never use 5200 on the top fiberglass surfaces of your boat. It will always come back to bite you in the ass.

    • @JackedUpFishing

      They actually have products to remove 5200 now. Works pretty good. And you can’t argue the effectiveness of 5200 vs other products. I only used on the bolt holes so shouldn’t be an issue.

    • @gregjacobson2687

      This is honestly the only mount that will be able to work on my 2022 230CC Finseeker...There is not much room up front unless i get a huge plate which would hang over the side quite a bit and i did not want that. I will gladly pay the price for a product that will allow me to have a trolling motor on my boat that is super easy to use.
