Such a surreal experience, sitting on our own boat watching you cruise the route we took after our launch and leaving the marina! Who would have thought that 18 months ago, when we sat watching you on Amazon in Texas, we would be back in England, living aboard and cruising the cut ourselves! You never know what’s around the next corner! 😊

Although we loved our time in Texas it’s not a state of stunning scenery. We would head to Utah and the Black Hills of South Dakota! They were our 2 favourite places we traveled whilst there 👍

I rarely comment but thoroughly enjoy your video's David, your presentation and editing technique is superb, very precise and professional and I've been following the channel for a few years now and it's literally my go to channel to "get away" from it all, living slap bang in the middle of a small (but getting busier) town in Scotland, your video's are the ultimate in escapism. For me, and many others, I don't think it will be an issue that you're not cruising your own narrowboat, just looking forward to the next relaxing video and sincere thanks for them all and the future one's, really nice to have such worthwhile content from a very nice person on TH-cam that so many of us appreciate. I can recommend getting a kayak. Great fun. You just put it on the roof rack and go where you like. Get a sit on if you're new to it. You can't get stuck inside it if you capsize. I'm 70 next year and still enjoy mine, so a young 'un like you should have no trouble with one.
As an American, I've seen plenty of "truck nuts," but that's the first set of "boat bollocks" I've ever heard of! While I'll certainly miss these cruising videos I wish you the best in your future adventures, David!

There's something hypnotic about slowly moving along and watching the landscape as you pass by. We Americans love our road trips, but they are usually at the speed of an interstate highway, and not very relaxing. Love your work, David. All the best as you continue to evolve.

David your Cruising the Cut videos are legendary. You portray the canal system and all its delightful or otherwise features in such a pleasant way. There are many good narrow boat channels but yours is my favorite.
Jesus! I usually have a cup of tea when I watch the latest Cruising the Cut installment. When I heard "Cowmouflage" I burst out laughing and spilled the tea. Cowmouflage! lol!!! 🤣
It almost feels like a farewell to the cut, as you chug along to the brokerage.. I know it is not, but feels a bit like. Relaxing, nice video, as ever. Very David-esque :)

Funnily enough most are actually timber frame construction with a cosmetic brick outer skin. I've often wondered what's left after a serious fire, nothing salvageable I suspect.

The cow pun cud have been worse, though I’d have to ruminate on how. It’s nice you got one last, not so huge cruise in before the sale. I’ve thought about how nice it would be, but, as you say, I think of how difficult it would be when we got older. We’re in our 50s now. The husband is open to living on a boat on the channel and lake system that crosses Sweden here. But, probably labdlubbing is best.

What a beautiful day for a cruise, David! Thanks for taking us along. I do have to say, though, that is breaks my heart seeing so many trees along the canal being taken over by that succubus ivy. People think, "oh, nice and green!" But ivy is a top invasive killer of trees.

Gosh, I love waking up on a Sunday morning to find one of your videos. A cup of tea and some time on the cut set the whole day off right. And my kids love it, too! I’m using your videos to gradually convince the family that we need to cross the pond for a cruising holiday!
Some good old fashioned cruising vlogs serving as a 'farewell tour' is a nice way to transition out of your own high seas adventures, and into the next phase of the channel. I approve. The train was a nice bonus, as I'm also a railfan (that's what we call 'trainspotters' in the States). Looking forward to where you take the channel from here.
My husband and I are retired and having our own midlife outings. We discovered your channel and watched your Prime videos. Then we enjoyed it so much we looked you up. We started with the first vlog and are working our way through them. We’re at 2015 now. Although, spoiler, we do know that you sell your boat. We live in Oregon (1 state north of California) so narrowboating was foreign to us. Were hikers. We’re planning a trip to hike the England Coast to Coast trail this July. Your videos are so enjoyable. We particularly liked the “off topic” ones - all the what and whys of the canals. My husband is an engineer and our house is loaded with solar panels so he really liked the solar vlogs. Cruising The Cut has been my favorite canal channel by far, and as you transition to new things, I would humbly suggest that you consider checking out what there is for Steam Launches that cruise the canals. Your expertise would make for an interesting vlog at the tiller of a Steam Launch. Best of luck in your transitioning times!

I do have to say, though, that is breaks my heart seeing so many trees along the canal being taken over by that succubus ivy. People think, "oh, nice and green!" But ivy is a top invasive killer of trees.

Will miss the narrow boat, but I will continue to follow you on your new adventures. You were my first intro to narrow boating. I'm an American, but you Brit's have a jem in your canal system.
Gosh, I love waking up on a Sunday morning to find one of your videos. A cup of tea and some time on the cut set the whole day off right. And my kids love it, too! I’m using your videos to gradually convince the family that we need to cross the pond for a cruising holiday!
A nice emotional bookend of going back along some of the canals of your very first cruise on your way to sell your boat.
Some good old fashioned cruising vlogs serving as a 'farewell tour' is a nice way to transition out of your own high seas adventures, and into the next phase of the channel. I approve. The train was a nice bonus, as I'm also a railfan (that's what we call 'trainspotters' in the States). Looking forward to where you take the channel from here.

My husband and I are retired and having our own midlife outings. We discovered your channel and watched your Prime videos. Then we enjoyed it so much we looked you up. We started with the first vlog and are working our way through them. We’re at 2015 now. Although, spoiler, we do know that you sell your boat. We live in Oregon (1 state north of California) so narrowboating was foreign to us. Were hikers. We’re planning a trip to hike the England Coast to Coast trail this July. Your videos are so enjoyable.
We particularly liked the “off topic” ones - all the what and whys of the canals. My husband is an engineer and our house is loaded with solar panels so he really liked the solar vlogs.
Sorry to babble on so, but we don’t use any social media so this was the only way I could contact you. Keep the vlogs coming. We love them! And now that you’re land bound….get a cat or dog! Our dog loves to go rv-ing (caravan) with us. Phil and Theresa Lee, Oregon, USA.

David, while I shall enjoy all your future videos, no one will ever make a better narrowboat cruising video! Ok, I get it. You'll still be making cruising videos but it won't be the same when it's not your own boat (which vicariously becomes our own).
and another different video with more wonderful views, educational information, colorful sites and boats, and David all wrapped up like a Christmas turkey to ward off the cold!!! Yep ive spent many a night and day in the cold and outside, working on projects, hunting, or touring.
