I'm surprised you didn't run Extinction Event. Would have been the perfect answer in the Emiel game. Cheap exile-based wraths are no joke, even if they're not always a clean sweep.
@@AzureAilurenhe was talking about me being addicted to value in the video (he's not wrong) but I think that's what he was thinking with the blood on the snow. He wanted to be able to get something good back with it before using it. Also it wouldn't have mattered anyway because after looking through my decklist there was nothing that was going to save me anyway.
@@AzureAiluren read basri's lieutenant. If he used Blood on the Snow he would have tapped out with no creature on the board (because he doesn't have snow mana), and the opponent would make 3 2/2 from the lieutenants death trigger, which would then kill him. Blood on the snow is literally the first thing he said and ruled out after seeing wishclaw.
At 50:12 he could have used the Talisman to search, let it be destroyed by Sundering and counter Jin instead. It might not have changed the outcome but is wouldve been possible
I mean, if you correctly name the number for their removal spell then he at least draws a card in addition to eating that removal spell, which is more than good enough.
20:43 could’ve cast expertise twice, putting the snappy into the field with the first ones resolution, and targeted the expertise from the graveyard to cast it for a second time
You blocked wrong at 22:58 against the Emiel deck. They have 6 mana up thanks to cryptolith rite and a treasure, so they actually have lethal in this configuration (blinking twice the Lieutenant to add +2 power to the board and that makes it an exact 11). You should have blocked Emiel itself since it had the same power as the Lieutenant, and they couldn't do the blink trink because blinking the Lieutenant would remove it from combat. BUT opponent didn't see it themselves so all is fine (they missed a lot of Emiel shenanigans, I play the deck myself and it can be overwhelming at times).
Wow never even noticed i was playing you with my Emiel deck! That was indeed a good game. Drew nothing by the end but it was fun. Definitely a mistake giving the wishclaw back.
Apparently this year's hint for the VooDew flavor was they partnered with a specific candy brand - a lot of people were thinking SweeTARTS or Airheads or something
Every CGB historical brawl deck is determined by the colors and it seems like the commander is irrelevant. Like this deck doesn’t even have faerie fencing
Are you ever like... "I really want to play this cool deck over and over again because I love it so much. But I can't because I have to get content out where I have to play a different deck every single day?" If so - what's that deck?
Yeah I missed a lot of damage in the beginning by attacking multiple creatures at the PW when I only needed to send the basri because of the protection. I definitely could've played better but my deck wasn't prepared to win that match up. The wishclaw search was a mistake both in timing and what I got. Oh well though I still enjoy that deck
23:00 Why isn't Damnation in Arena? Doesn't make any sense. Or even Toxic Deluge. There's Supreme Verdict, which is way better than Damnation. There's Wrath of God, which is exactly the same as Damnation. Why isn't Damnation in Arena? You even have the stupid Damnation image for decks but not the actual card. Instead you get Ritual of Shit, I mean Soot, which is useless.
simple answer, money. they want to specifically put it in a anthology set down to line. they could have easily released all these cards a long time ago but want to slowly give them out for, you guessed it, money

There is so much abuse for necro right now its gonna get banned before the months over.
That Emiel deck match up was super sweet and very fun to watch. The Samut game was a close second for entirely different reasons.
Now that I know I was playing CGB I wish I would've played better. Oh well
You always expect sweaty matches in MTGA, 😀.
The only time I don't play sweaty is amongst friends in paper.
44:30 that felt like a tilt attack to me. They threw away literally the only thing they had going for them.
2:59 definitly a Commander player😂
I felt that too 😅
Everybody plays commander

He had a fucking blood on the snow staring him straight in the face with that wishclaw, but decided to go for cyclonic instead for some reason

really nice deck CGB! I've managed to get almost all cards from your decklist thank you.
It works really well most of the time :p
49:55 whirlwind denial would've been an absolute blowout for the opponent there
Nevermind I just saw the lethal lmao
If only he had flash or ward or something to protect his 4 cmc sorcery speed butt.
As a cedh player .. I’m sure glad it doesn’t. It’s a beast.
Almost as good as rhystic study. Absolutely wild
@@actuallyKriminell and rhystic study is aweful in 1 vs 1. I get that he's good in multiplayer.

@@olafthemoose9413the life punish is way better in 1v1 tho, with only a sixth of the life to work through

Yeah I saw that, it would have still left op with 3 2/2s but discarding the expertise was perhaps not the line.

I absolutely love orange cream soda, but if I opened a bottle of Mountain Dew and got orange cream soda, I'd obviously feel deceived.
DOUBLE CGB!!
Oohhh Mtn Dew tasting too!? Must be my birthday
Brawl videos are sooo enjoyable!
49:35 his face when he realizes what just actually happened hahah
like the way you held on in the first game top-notch!!
Amazing deck, having a blast with it, thanks!

“This hand is good, not busted” - mulligans -
51:53 I love Control losing after playing the whole game removing things
This deck seems kinda samey to other esper historic Brawl control decks.
Clones! And more clones! Pick every number! 😂
I forgot rhystic study and necropotence are on arena now, guess it's time to come back for a bit
Is yahennis expertise not in alchemy? I tried finding it/crafting it but it doesn’t appear
Sad the hear the mystery flavor get a D ranking, but fair.
Thanks CGB😊

Loving the content, as per usual.
Statistically 2 is the best to name blind
i love your brawl content cgb thanks
Love the dew review
oh i always want double CGB
I just finally built a decent Brawl deck, and I now hate Imoti most of all...
OG jin had flash. Busted card.
That Emiel game was so many missplays from both players=_=

No Meathook?
YES THE MTN DEW REVIEW!!!
I was thinking of making talion into faerie tribal rather than a control deck
Thats a fun idea
More brawl💪
Bless you released of mtg

I wish you would stay on brand and play more BLUE
really tired of all the other colors, they just don't work and it's a bit cringe imo
first!!
its 2023.

New standard set out and CGB is still making historic brawl videos :/
Pretty cringe to complain about what content creators choose to make
As he said there is still a standard video today its just on another channel, you can watch that
Yeah but all those new historic enchantments
Too many sets, too many ubitquious cards hard to get excitied for these when the format is dominated by sheoldred and atraxa and how to beat them.
I want a CGB T-Shirt with "Designed to make you suffer" and some cool artwork
already doing historic brawl videos when a new set just came out, that mean everyhing 🥲
