I have been through lot of videos for OLAP, OLTP and Warehouse , but ended with this example and ended my loop of search because of this END = "Explain by Example". Thanks!!
Your video is amazing. TH-cam is hard but you genuinely sound pleasant and present like a professional. Please don't stop. Hope to see you be big some day.👌
shit!!!! after looking and understanding with your example , i realised how dumb im lolll.. thanks i was confused with both of the names however i got it now...keep rocking , good content and its really creative idea to have a youtube cHannel like this which helps to understand information as "piece of cake" ofcourse the credit is your ideology.. good luck for your future plans
I’m stuck very confused. Is the only difference where they search for the data? Do one from a database with current quick information and the other a data warehouse with more in depth and broadly sought after reasoning for the answer?
OLTP is at the transaction grain. Is primarily used for applications and operations. OLAP is analytic and is aggregated for creating analytical reporting such as KPI or metric dashboards so is at a categorical level. OLTP DB might say these are all the transactions from this store and have a row for each sale. An OLAP Data-warehouse would say last month we sold X number of this product. It might only have a row for each products monthly total.
