I know it’s been ages since this all happened, but Kenadian was very mature and collected when responding to it. He admitted his mistakes, showed how he saw the situation, and gave all the info and context that he knew of. This is a very respectful way to handle controversy, and I majorly applaud Kenadian for being so honest and mature.
i'm shocked that's a possible problem in the first place... imagine making constant apology videos apologizing to more and more people every time because your previous apology video summoned the friends of the person the video is apologizing to so they can avenge the person you apologized to because commenters decided to harass them...
I found Seawatt like a week ago, then one of Ken's main channel videos debunking Seawatt's prison escapes pops up in my feed, I was a bit disappointed and annoyed that the prisons were easier to escape than shown in the videos. But I haven't unsubscribed from Seawatt, in fact, I'm hoping he does more escape videos, I'll just be more observant of his options now that I've been watching a lot of these videos. I enjoy the simplicity of those escapes and from the looks of it, a few changes to those rooms could remove the ease with which Ken was able to escape them. More than anything, they're entertaining, and I wouldn't mind trying to make my own escape rooms in a similar fashion, just for the fun of it.

It also is a commentary on the importance of forethought within puzzle building as a whole, and points out many areas in which these kinds of videos fail to account for. Ironically, I think his channel is a way to build a much more linear, sensible, and clever puzzle map. It simply critiques common errors in modern puzzle maps and in solution videos

I see a crutial diffrence here in Cmrn's friends videos compared to your's, you do not shed any negetive light on ANY of the creators themself's, only their VIDEOS, which is fair, whereas Cmrn's friends put you, Kenadian, in a negative light, and overall, giving you possible hate comments, whereas Cmrn got a lot more subscribers, overall boosting his channel. Also did Cmrn's friends even get your (Kenadian) permission to create these videos? If they didn't that is also another very big difference. 7:49 Also everyone makes mistakes, some better, some worse, but I can see that Kenadian has done barely any damage to Cmrn's channel, whereas Cmrn's friends make several mistakes in the videos that, if it were to a slightly less, for lack of a better term, mentally stable youtuber, their mistakes could most definately be damaging, and just straight up harmful. I feel like it would have been better for them to reach out to you privately about this if they had an issue rather than doing this sort of public back and forth, but I suppose maybe they were intimidated at the thought of talking to a bigger TH-camr in private or something like that. The problem is that even if they were 100% right, they're just potentially making their friend an even bigger target, so a public callout should usually be reserved for when other more private avenues don't work when going up against a bigger channel. It's fortunate that you responded calmly and reasonably and were clear about condemning hate, but that just means they were lucky that you aren't the type to weaponize your viewers. It does suck that people went to spread hate there even a little to begin with though. I do think removing the bullying joke was a good idea, because there are a lot of people who don't always recognize facetious jokes like that online especially when they're in text which is even harder to parse tone from, and while I think it's fine to take that sort of risk with a sarcastic joke if the other channel is similar in size to you, when they're much smaller it's not necessarily worth the risk since your words essentially have much more weight to them and thus can do more damage even when you say something you think might be innocuous. I could see how the friends might have taken that a bit more seriously if they felt you were attacking someone they cared about and being smug about it. I've known actual bullies who used similar jokes so I can kind of see how someone might think it's meant more cruelly than intended. I do think their videos and the way they framed the situation were blowing it out of proportion, because like you said he should have known what the videos would entail, and you're going to have a hard time judging what could be considered "harming" someone's channel in a critique/debunking video. Some people might feel that criticising their content at all is too "harmful" which defeats the purpose of giving permission to make the video in the first place. It's basically like a roast, he shouldn't have agreed to sitting in the hot seat if he didn't think he could take the heat, though maybe he thought he could and then learned the hard way that he was wrong, but in that case sometimes you just have to take your lumps and recognize your limitations in that regard for the future. Either way, I hope this video helped clear the air between everyone.
