    Clemson fan here, was sad to see him transfer. Especially, when each week’s injury report would have over 20 guys listed as out. Glad to see Shipley get more time because of this though. Best of luck to Dixon and hope he can make a career for himself at the next level.

    I've known this young man since 8th grade. He is a really good person with a good heart. The young man was promised the starting position going into his senior year. However Coach Elliot move from RB coach to OC. In comes CJ Spiller and decides to have open competition at RB once they signed Wil Shipley. His touches and the way he was used declined almost immediately going into spring camp. He transferred to get a fair shot and show what he can do as a primary RB.

    I always enjoyed LJD with those incredible runs he had. I can only wish him the best. I think with Clemson recruiting Shipley, he knew that he would not be the #1 even after waiting until ETN left. IMO, I think he should have transferred earlier when he first thought about it. Not sure why he changed his mind and waited another season. Proud of Chez too. Chez made the right move to transfer, and we sure could have used both of these guys.

    Maybe follow up on Chez Mellusi, a 5'11" 204lb junior at UW, splitting time with Braedon Allen, a 6'2" 238lb freshman, who is outperforming Chez based on production. The team itself is interesting, as they looked terrible to start the season, but have turned around their season with the rushing offense and a top 3 defense in the nation.

    Clearly you have no clue what you’re commenting on. Clemson coaches (coach spiller and coach Elliot) and players (will Shipley) have all said Dixon was being a problem/ cancer in the room bc he felt entitled to being the starter didn’t earn the job and then became very jealous and toxic in the RB room. No way for a “senior” to carry himself.

    As a Clemson fan I hope he kills it at WVU. I’m going to vent a bit on this. Dixon stayed even during his Jr year when Etienne had came back. Dabo does players dirty then expects them to stay loyal. Dixon was loyal by staying when he didn’t need to. He was very productive as a back up and proved he was ready to start.
    We all know the moment they got Shipley, Dabo pushed Dixon down the depth chart. He does that when he gets a 5 star recruit. Given Dixon’s production he should’ve been the starter and have Shipley, Pace, and Mafah as the back ups. Shit we could’ve won some of the games we lost if, we had Dixon and we ran the ball more. Dabo doesn’t like being proved wrong which is why he never benched DJ and let the other QBs get a start this season.
    Dabo did the same with Kelly Bryant who lead us to the playoffs, Dashawn by not benching Cole, and now Dixon. The way Dabo replaced Kelly you’d think he was playing like DJ but he wasn’t. Then Dabo is petty to not delivery the championship ring to Kelly when Dabo know that was Kelly’s last year of eligibility if he didn’t transfer. Kelly was trying to make it to the NFL and he was technically going to use his last year if he didn’t transfer and T Law had time. Dabo expected Kelly to be a back up as a senior essential when Kelly balled the season before. TLaw could’ve been the back up for the season and let Kelly ball again. Honestly Kelly would be playing today as Clemson would’ve been a perfect platform.
    Dabo sucks at making adjustments, just like he does with his stubbornness over his coaching decisions and that’s been our Achilles heel. Any game where the game plan doesn’t work we lose. All in all though I really do hope Dixon balls in WVU and gets to the NFL.

    • @IAAP.
      @IAAP. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're wrong about everything. Dixon got himself in hot water. Dabo doesn't play the "me first" crap. Doesn't matter how good you are. Same thing happened with Derion Kendrick. Best DB we had at the time. Wanted to go his own way. He was gone. Swinney"s program is successful because of the culture he's built there. Doesn't need to change it for self-centered primadonnas.

  • @Fechno3

    Lyn-j situation was unrelated to football. They said he is a good player but fazing him out of the offense because of character concerns is strange. I would be mad too if i was lyn-j I was a productive play maker behind a 1st round RB. I proven myself to be extremely talented and skilled. Then some unproven freshman is my competition? Atleast Bryant and T law battle it out for a couple games to see who is better. But this time dabo just starts Shipley with no in game competition to see who is better. During the Georgia game lyn-j was the only one who broke a long run but was immediately taken out. He kept running Shipley who didn’t break any long runs that game at all. The eye in the sky don’t lie and film shows that Dixon was a way more explosive play maker and deserved to start. Lyn-J was done dirty

    I live 15 minutes from butler and watched him play in high school. He quit on his high school team his senior year because his mother(who showed up his junior year) thought they were playing him too much, she even talked him into faking an injury for over a month. His qb got a scholarship to Troy, so obviously they had a passing game. I honestly don't think this kid has made a decision for himself in years, and has shown he signs of being a quitter. Lyn J was always an issue. He ran upright and couldn’t/wouldn’t block. He lacked the ability to be a teammate and was seen with teammates screaming at him on sidelines during games. Lyn J couldn’t see a hole to save his life and had an uncanny knack to run backwards or laterally more than “north south.” He was also always undersized and had only very good top end speed to pad stats if you didn’t watch him game in and game out he would get nothing on most runs then hit a 30 yarder here and there due to the fact he was never an every down back and came in mostly in late games. He never had the “it factor” he had speed. I wish him the best but he consistently lost out to younger backs for a reason.

    The QB from Westlake is very good and will really help Clemson. Westlake could beat many colleges so his experience will show from day one. Horns should not have let him get away.

    Good player, but had a poor attitude when he had to compete for the starting job.

    He might have been a cancer. But I feel dabo did him dirty. Shipley wasn’t doing shit first half of the season. Dabo wanted Shipley to be the star. Shipley is not that good and Clemson found that out today
