Long-time viewer, first time commenting. Just want to thank you for the inspiration you provide through your videos. I appreciate your creativity and admire your hallmark excellence. This world would be a better place if more of us embraced your example of self-reliance and hard work.
a man of many talents. it's good to see people still using their talents and not on the cell phone all the time. work with your hands and seeing results is better than playing a game on a phone.
You and my daughter both!🤪. If it were up to her we’d have a big red barn and a dozen horses by now🤦♂️😂. But I keep telling her we are making progress towards the goal.
Starting from the water collection, then to your chicken coop, and your "gallant(?)" gray themed builds, I continue to enjoy how your homestead keeps on giving! I appreciate how simple, practical and elegant each of your builds are.
I have never ending projects in our ranch @ much slower paste than you are. The idea needs to brew & settle in my head. Then when we execute it, it transforms again based on the reality and the situation on the ground.
I look forward to all of your videos and enjoy all your projects. I hope you and your family will have a fun and meaningful Christmas as we celebrate our Savior’s birth. God bless you!
Thank you for another GREAT video. Marley is a lucky young lady to have such wonderful parents. Hope you find a nice pair of horses so that she and you or Mom can ride together. Good planning while you had a ditch open getting so much value out of it. One can never have enough scattered water or power. Hope you and your family have a Wonderful Christmas and a Happy/Safe New Year! Glad to have you back on the BWH pages.
Joe you are so resourceful and full of amazing ideas. The homestead is growing great!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! And as always Bear Down!! Go Cats! 😊
That is great hear! I very much appreciate it and am glad you enjoy them! I really would like to post more often but I’m still old school and do it all myself between the day job and other commitments. But perhaps the new year will see a more regular posting schedule…. And a Merry Christmas to you as well😊🙏
Wow, wow and wow! You have been so VERY busy - the video update was great! Don't see too much "down time" in your near future with baby goats on the way 🥰 Can't wait for their arrivals! So much fun 😁Thanks for an excellent video😊
Welcome back Joe lol and nice to see ya again with updates on your endless projects on the homestead...😊Also, I would love to get some or your merch...
Thank you Manny! I really do want to post more regularly but I have a problem of doing projects that take weeks to make instead of more quick and simple ones….haha. But stay tuned and I’ve got some quicker ones on tap that should have you seeing my posts more often😊 As for the merch. I think I still have my bonfire linked up if you want a shirt. Should be below the video description. That’s got the current design with the baby goat….With the “turn off the news… learn a skill..” tags around it. But I’m going to do an update soon with this current version that is on the hats. And as for the hats. I only got around 25 to start with and probably 10 will go to family and friends. But stay tuned to the next video when I’ll offer a few of them for sale. Probably have you guys just reach out to me by email and we’ll do it old school via PayPal or something like that. OR wait a couple days on this video and you might just get drawn for the couple I’m planning on giving away😊👍
Love the hats! I think you should sell them, proceeds going toward the horses set-up, and eventually maybe help with the feed. Just my 2 cents. Love the mash up of all your projects. Merry Christmas, to you and the rest of the clan.
That intro was epic. 😂 I think most of us would be disappointed if you didn't paint most everything Homesteadonomics gray! Found the channel when you were working on the sunken greenhouse and have enjoyed all your projects. Id love to have one of those hats! Merry Christmas to you and the family!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my friend. Great post. I always enjoy tuning into your newest video. I'm living vicariously through you and your projects. You are realizing many of my similar ideas and dreams. Thanks for sharing. Much love, care and blessings to you and your family, channel/ efforts. 💛😇
I love the hats. I've been needing a new one since my last american made one is wearing out. I'll buy one if need be! Keep up the great videos. Good luck and god bless.
We got our rain water inspiration from your videos. We have 3 poly tanks now with a steel tank coming once the house is complete. I'm also hoping to get into more welding projects around our place too (again, once the house is done.)
Sheeze, Joe, busy, busy man & family! No wonder you disappeared for awhile! Can't imagine you not having time for all your projects😊 Just teasin'😂 Love you guys!❤ Merry Christmas & God continue to bless you & yours!!!
Thanks for checking out the video David! Yes I’ve been up to a LOT, just been bad about posting more often. But perhaps the new year will see me getting back to a more regular schedule🤪🤞
I love your water collection setup. Thinking about setting something up on my property here in Ohio. We have a lot more cold weather here so I have to decide whether I just want a three season system or invest in a buried cistern.
I've enjoyed your videos for several years. Your ideas and inspiration have been useful for my cabin in the North Cascades. Merry Christmas and Happy (creative) New Year.
I think I would plug that end cap hole and install a faucet on the bottom of the 4 inch pipe. You could gravity feed the hose into another container for use in the garden or for the neighborhood critters.
Mr. Joe, glad to see an update video. I am always impressed with your projects. Just want to know if you are totally off grid with water and electricity? Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR. 🥰👍👍👍👍👍🐕🐎🐓🐔🐣🐤🐐(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
Glad you enjoyed it Rose Marie! As for being totally off grid. Only with water. We still have grid power. But it’s always been a goal of mine to eventually go fully off grid. But I will say for the amount of welding I do, having the grid power is definitely a plus😉 And I wish you a Merry Christmas and happy new year as well!😊🙏
Thank you Joe. So nice to see what you have been up too. Congratulations to Marley for her Elk. That is amazing. Is there any chance you can post a photo of that. She is growing up fast. Nice that your whole family got a deer as well. Wishing you a Merry Xmas. God Bless you and your entire family. 😊
Merry Christmas, Joe. Have always enjoyed your videos..especially the water videos. Great looking hats. If I ended up with one, that would be great. If not, maybe one from the next run. I wouldn't mind paying for one. Joe in Biloxi
Looking forward to another truck camper video, I am finishing up my rebuild on my 95 ford f150 and your design on the truck camper is what I plan on using finish it out with, I appreciate all the updates, Merry Christmas to you and your family, See y'all next year!
I'd pay for that tan hat. I also have two IBC totes that I'm not doing anything with. The problem is that you'd have to come pick them up on the east side of Texas.
Hi Joe, always a pleasure when your newest video pops up. I appreciate your attention to details and common sense approach. The hats are a great add to your store, too. Merry Christmas my friend!!!
Great rain water system! I'm interested in your hvac; I forgot if youre totally solar or also had electric company power. I'm shopping for land north of Phoenix; its getting more expensive
I am impressed with your skill level/ I have been following you for a long time. Question - do you have much snake pressure around your property? Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you Ricardo! As for snakes, yes we do get them around here. I think I’ve shown them a few times on videos in the past. Just one of the joys of living in the desert 🤪 And Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
I Have Ben Looking For Some Tower About 40ft to 100Ft What Ever But It Has Gotten Harder To Find in my Area ! If I Could Find 40 Ft I Wouldn't Know How To Act Little Own 100 ..lol. Cool Video As Usual ! Thanks

Everything you build looks strong and desert-proof.
a man of many talents. it's good to see people still using their talents and not on the cell phone all the time. work with your hands and seeing results is better than playing a game on a phone.
Man how I love your set up.
Thank you very much! I enjoy tinkering on it and it’s still just a work in progress. But eventually, when I’m 97, it’ll be totally finished! 🤣
@homesteadonomics hahaha. I hear you. If you asked my wife about me, shed give you an ear full. Hhahahaha
Can't wait to see the evolution of the horse facility. I'm looking at building one myself soon as well.
You and my daughter both!🤪. If it were up to her we’d have a big red barn and a dozen horses by now🤦♂️😂. But I keep telling her we are making progress towards the goal.
Absolutely gorgeous
Great water collection system.

You should paint exposed pvc because it breaks down in the sun.
Regular ag water hydrants that self drain would be a better option. Love the flush system.
So no solar to power goat/horse facilities?
Look forward to return of the camper and other projects. Merry Christmas!
Your projects are fun to watch. Who knows some day I may try one of them myself. Love your hats. Great idea.
Great video! If you are lagging, all we need are goat videos to get by!
Hi Joe, always a pleasure when your newest video pops up. I appreciate your attention to details and common sense approach.
The hats are a great add to your store, too.
Merry Christmas my friend!!!
I guess if you got a jack and a mare, you could start breeding mules.
I missed you. Nice to see you again. Kind regards from Germany.
Great rain water system! I'm interested in your hvac; I forgot if youre totally solar or also had electric company power. I'm shopping for land north of Phoenix; its getting more expensive

Might consider a wind turbine on top of the radio tower
Love your channel! I always look forward to the next video.
Merry Christmas!!! Blessings 🙏
Your water harvest set up is amazing! Do you have problems with mosquitos or other aquapests and if so, how do you eliminate them?
Merry Christmas to you! Always fun and educational content.

Very curious about water collection but how does one clean the water from roof collection where birds may poop etc
What’s the plan for the goats? Just milk and breed or do you plan on using for meat?
I rent out my horse stables $200 a month. Horse owner feeds and cleans horse. $500 I clean $1000 I feed and clean
Merry Christmas!! I wish I had half your space. I would love to be able to do a rain water system.
I Have Ben Looking For Some Tower About 40ft to 100Ft What Ever But It Has Gotten Harder To Find in my Area ! If I Could Find 40 Ft I Wouldn't Know How To Act Little Own 100 ..lol. Cool Video As Usual ! Thanks
I'd like to buy that hat in camo if you have it reasonably priced in a merch store.
To bad about the shipping restrictions
