Do the pro’s and visitors surf here or leave it to the locals? I heard that now the wsl have moved their comps to the new year the north shore is now more of a circus than a sleepy place it used to be at this time of year when the tour circus has moved on

I was there about 330pm. Some of the sets were bigger than triple, way off the point. A really big 4 wave set came through and it was macking.
Being a diver, knowing how shallow this is... Very impressive!
This is a deep water break. There's nothing shallow about it.
