I absolutely loved this film! Hathaway and Galitzine had perfect chemistry which made it believable and sucked you right in. I have watched it 4 times already and I will be watching again SOON! If you haven't seen it, throw on some comfy pj's, pour a glass of wine, grab some tissues, and get a good spot on the sofa to watch the best damn movie on Prime. So worth a night in!

Reminds me a bit of my relationship, we're about 4 to 5 years apart but that wasn't the issue what is was so many close to people to us tried so hard to give us reasons not to be together saying there just letting us know telling each other personal problems as a way to just "let them know" which is contradicted because they pushed us together and introduced us, we're going now on 3 years and I haven't regretted a single thing, I'm so happy I didn't listen and got to know his heart, he's my souk mate and glad it's him, when you know you know, people should never let that go because its a once in a life time thing and your lucky if you find it

I just noticed he wanted to say beautiful but he just went for hot or whatever. He is trying not to lay it too thick.
... and she said later on (after the pool scene) how beautiful he is. I loved that switch so much! He is being called 'hot' definitely all the time, and she probably gets compliments about her beauty too ... he switched himself into a fan in this scene. Both gave each other the compliment they needed more than the stereotypical.

They are talking about the book where Campbell Soup is 20 yrs old boy and the middle women is 40 years old. The age gap relationships are fun but not realistic. Campbell will want kids down the line and in the book the middle age women lets him go. She puts her daughter, work and friends 1st before her personal relationship with Campbell because that is the adult choice and it is the choice that all women make. Women the world over put others needs before their own. This is real life. Not some romantic dream.

❤i don’t get the (5) yrs separation. Love is Love. They were lucky to have waited for each other. Hayes was right, they should have fought for their love. That is the lesson Izzy could have learned. To fight for what is right…..
Good movie,excellent performance by both actors but there's always a but l personally could not relate with the story

Of course Izzy was 12 yrs old in the book. That was a love that would not last. Although Hayes did have a talk with the 12 yr old. In the book they are 20 yrs apart. That was a sexual affair….
Waiting for 5yrs means sjhe is getting 5 yrs older .Why wait for 5yts when they both love each other
For Hayes, he's at the peak of his pop boy band career; the media is brutal when it comes to currently relevant celebs. Whoever they date becomes public enemy #1 'cause of crazy fangirls & fanboys. He can't quit without getting sued because he (probably/definitely) has a contract signed with the music label.
For Solène, her daughter Izzy becomes a target for people who are pissed at the fact that her mom is dating a younger popstar, which makes Solène feel like she needs to make a sacrifice (the book has a sad ending, where they don't end up together because it's more realistic acc. to the author).
As Hayes mentioned before, in 5 years, both of them will be free of their responsibilities ("Izzy will be out of school, and I'll be some D-list celebrity that nobody gives a shit about.")
They waited because they loved each other.
