Papa Emeritus is the name of the "evil pope" character the lead singer portrays within the theatrical realm/presence of the band. The rest of the band are simply referred to as "Nameless Ghouls."

It's David Grohl who did the switch. It's the same original Papa singer. And no it's not Grohl singing. He came out in the white gown while Papa changed during Genesis.

There is no doubt in my mind that Emeritus I and II are the same he looks exactly the same and sounds the same at least in Secular Haze the other being a cover as everyone knows adds to the parlor trick.

During Genesis, Tobias went offstage and switched costumes. It was a switch a roo! Why are people confused? A different person came back out during Genesis as PE 1, then Tobias came out as PE 2. Not hard to understand!
If you look around on Blabbermouth they said that both Emeritus' were played by Tobias Forge, and that they altered the video to make it look like there were two different people switiching off, but hell what do I know..maybe someone from the concert can tell me

If you watch Death Knell from this show, papa slips in the back at the end and then pops back out a couple minutes later for the start of Genesis. Most likely just changed outfits and had another individual throw on the old outfit for a minute.
Great cover, but, why they missed that cool guitar lick that comes right after the chorus? It's a shame cus it's one of the best things of the song imo.

Really? Not surprised it does look a bit KKK'ish at first. I guess they'd have kept it the whole second album cycle if they weren't warned.
The white robes remind me more of the Pope's robes rather than the KKK's.
I think it's the whole religious/spiritual overtones that make me think such.

Love Papa Emertus & Ghost,they are new & fresh! I watched The Golden God Awards show last week from L.A. & Papa Emertus introduced the almighty Danzig & did an awesome job doing it also.
I hope Ghost comes to Norway this year! saw them warming up for In Flames, but the sound was horribly mixed, much too low and the sound just melted...
Maybe its even Papa Emeritus I sings backstage while this one is just an actor (Only for that gig of course!) and dont forget they played Genesis before replacing them... Papa had time to change cause its an instrumental!!
