It's only said in the LN, but the HP regen skill only works if he's standing still. That's why he wasn't moving when those other players attacked him. So he wouldn't have been able to use it in this fight since he's constantly moving.
Honestly, I already forgot he had regen... even though his intent was just to use time to set up his extra skill. I assume with higher levels, his HP regen would scale up too. So those 10 seconds were well spent and saved his life. Brian raised an interesting detail.
You said "He's sacrificing Defense for Offense". This is pretty much exactly how the official LN described the moment: "The Gleameyes' techniques were basically two-handed sword skills. But they were slightly customized, which made them impossible to read. I concentrated fully on defending with sidesteps and parries. Man listening to the sao osts bring back so many memories. This was the first anime I watched since starting back in 2015. Nostalgia hits hard. I hope they will continue this anime, and make it so it’s just a regular game where they can log in and out. I watched sao over and over like 10 times.
Fun fact actually Kirito's dual wield skill doubles his speed, power and defence, pretty much make him a god at the game. Also the reason why he unlock that dual wield skill cuz of his crazy high reflexes.
@@chaoticfoxtrot my pic is from the manga Uq Holder. It does have a short anime adaptation but it's garbage, it literally changes the story and even removes a key character. Uq holder is the sequel to the negima manga, so you should read negima first if you're interested. I know a lot of ppl rather watch the anime instead of reading the manga but the difference in quality is literally night and day.
Reason why klein is always happy to see kirito, On the LN klein died on one of the floor, but his guildmates were able to revive him because of the revival item that kirito gave them on the previous episode

Ganna be honest I’ve used duel wielding characters for a long time in games I try to stop because they aren’t the most viable or anything but when I watched this for the first time this episode of SAO for the first time it did not help me to stop duel wielding at all so now I decided to just duel wield all the time when ever I can
FYI, to give themselves a buffer, the players are around 10 levels above the numeric value of the floor they adventure on. For example, Silica (Episode 4) was at 44th level when she was traveling on the 35th floor with Rosalia. Still need a raid party to take on floor bosses, despite that.
When they say OMG THEY GONNA DIE I think your forgetting something this is Sao where only plot devices and unnamed characters die Kirito can only go down to 1hp
Once you use a sword skill you’re LOCKED into that skill. You can’t stop the skill you have to finish it no matter what so even if he wanted to dodge he couldn’t. He knew that he wouldn’t have a chance to beat it unless he went right into it all in.
Only noticed you two had picked this up a couple of days ago, and finally caught up on your episodes. Love your two's reactions, and can't wait to see you watch this all the way through, One suggestion though is after the second arch to this before you start the 3rd I would recommend watching the Abridged series by 'Something Witty' and do a watch on that as well, as if you love this I think you would love what they have done with it, some people even joke it is better than the original in some places.... lol Anyway looking forward to seeing the next one, keep safe :-)
Technically kirito is the strongest player in sao. Heathciff beat Him because he was cheating. Asuna is the second strongest but everyone keeps saying that she’s equal and or stronger than kirito because of that one time kirito said that he could never match her speed or her precision with a sword
You signed up for an excelent story. This season is literally priceless. Though, the first arc of season 2 may be kinda weak but it gets really really good as soon as the next arc starts. Enjoy the show!
This is not a spoiler, more like a retcon, in the light novel "SAO Progressive" they tell you that Kirito and Asuna had worked together since Floor 1 and up to Floor 7 (I can't quite remember which...) But yeah, is supposed to tell you that they had a good teamwork since early on the game. Also, I really hope you guys take a look at Sword Art Online Abridged after finishing this season, is the most hilarious thing after DBZA.
SÃO Progressive is a complete rewrite, one book per floor, in the LN and the anime they teamed up on the first floor and the next time at the murder investigation
I always wonderered what if the nerve gear would lag because of low net or crash because too much is happening to the player, would that kill them or not?
Bruh the Nerve Gear is a very advanced Full Dive Console that we will probably not get our hands on right now. But we can expect stuff like that maybe before or after 2050. But I see where you are getting at here and that is a funny idea, imagine attacking a boss and then you start lagging and then you're dead, and then die irl.

Bruh the Nerve Gear is a very advanced Full Dive Console that we will probably not get our hands on right now.
