I’m a big fan of The Birthday Massacre.
Me too got to see them live last year it was awesome!
This came up on my recommended at the perfect time- I'm about to start curating a playlist for a goth garden party next month and I was just thinking how much I wanted some fresh goth bands to add to the rotation!!
Ah great! The Part 2 vid of new bands will go out this Fri! 👍💀
Omg Night Nail and Black Angel are awesome! I love Prince of Darkness and The Black Rose album by Black Angel! Got to see them live at World Goth Day festival in California back in May it was amazing!
Thank you for the recs! Lately I've been into Bambara, particularly their record Stray. It's a post-punk concept album and I'm absolutely in love with it
Great video and content. Have checked these all out. Superb stuff. Cheers.
@@paulcollins5586 Thanks so much Paul! 👍💀
Thank your for the list and the video. I just LOVE to discover new music.
No worries - will make that part 2 too. Lots of great new bands out there! 💀
Solid list and all great picks. Hadn't heard of Sweet Ingrid so thanks!
@@FrozenCharlottes No worries - hope you enjoy! 👍💀
That was a cool list and keen to see a part 2. As an Australian was great to discover a local band I'd not heard
That’s great to hear! Do let me know if there are any new bands that you’re into that you wouldn’t mind sharing? 💀
Eager to check out all of these bands but I am already smitten by Secret Shame so many thanks for that. Sending dark vibes from Brooklyn, NY.
@@bishakhsom4316ahh, glad you found something that you liked! Great aren’t they! 💀
I’m sure you are already aware of Drab Majesty. I saw them at The Oriental Theatre in Denver a number of years ago and it was the most mesmerizing impressive show I had ever seen, and I’m in my fifties.
Sweet Ermengarde are definitely influenced by the fields of the Nephilim which I love so much.
I have Sweet Ermengarde on CD, and I love it.
Any opinion on The Bleak Engineers?
Not sure they would be goth or goth adjacent with a short bus trip.
Found your channel a few days ago and have been thoroughly enjoying the content.
@@WildCJ5 Thanks for the comment! No, not heard of those - so will check them out! 👍💀
I am surprised and disturbed by your lack of Twin Tribes, easily my personal favorite new Goth band.
That said, I think I only knew 3 of the bands you listed so I'll check out the others.
Haha, Twin Tribes are literally gonna be featured in Part 2 👍 be disturbed no more 💀
"Surprised and disturbed" haha 😂
Thanks 🖤
2 am TH-cam algorithm strikes gold again. Thanks for the recommendations. (:
That algorithm never sleeps… 💀
I love how you look like a stereotypical goth, not a insult I do too look like a stereotyped goth girl 😂 I just love it. Btw love the bands didn't knew some of them ❤
Haha! I suppose it is the typical goth makeup look isn’t it! 🤣 Any bands you particularly liked?
...She Past Away? Or are they not new enough.
I'm horrible with genres but digging Rope Sect and Panic Priest. If not Goth certainly Goth adjacent.
Kind sir, if you have not heard The Rope out of Minneapolis you should give them a listen.
What’s your opinion on Lebanon Hanover?🤔
@@ryanrooprai5104 Never been able to get into them tbh - I really like her voice, but never managed to get into his..
@@ByCandlelight666That’s fair enough man. I just recently got into a band called Lycia and in 1995, they made an album titled The Burning Circle And Then Dust, which is a brilliant album! It’s got the aesthetics of gothic rock, yet the album has been widely recognized as a ethereal wave album.
I love them!!!!
I feel weird because I dont think I recognized any of those bands. Ill have to give each a listen. I was expecting Cold Cave, Boy Harsher (debatable whether they are goth), Ritualz, and Them are Us Too.
I was gonna include Boy Harsher and actually The Soft Moon - but they didn’t feel as ‘new’ as the others on the list 😉
@@ByCandlelight666 Soft Moon yeah! Really there are so many now its hard to keep track of.
@@ByCandlelight666 What is your cutoff for new versus old? If they are Post 1999 they are new to me hahaha
SoftScent ..Italian..only have two singles so far but are like a reborn Xmal ...check them
Oh yeah - love that - hope they have an album planned! 💀
Play some of the music. How about that?
I’d love to, but vids get blocked due to copyright laws ☹️ You can follow the links in the description though and play them..
Best Goth bands 2024 ? Oh mine Goth!!?? Firstly it might be I am not in this or any of particular part of genre but this recommendation does not represent any pinnacle of Goth music in 2024! Black Angel is an exception and obviously does not belong to this list. Hate me for this! Me myself is involved in creating or performing music and always looking for an artistic expression regardless of genre so haven't find any so much within this list (exp. Black Angel)
@@danil3572 I don’t hate you for this! 🙂 But just to remind you that I state that a lot of these bands are ‘goth adjacent’ - so bands that goths may like, that may not be ‘pure goth’. Happy listening! 👍💀
