By shakes in the video are you talking about positional shakes that move the camera around or the impact ones that are heavy in the begining to give off some impact?
If the movement shake is too fast for example if it's like in flow edit then keep it same, it's too fast for a person to recognise if they're same or not but if the movement is slow like in daddy edits then change it, atleast change frequency or amplitude, and yes you must change impact shake, just tweak the settings and you got new shake

It's a method called "twixtor", you can make a clip as smooth as you want by slowing it in a certain method, you can search it on yt there are lots of tutorials about it

Creativity is simple, just do something that not everyone do, for example maybe merge VFX that are used in movies with anime, use the movie VFX in AMV, that'll be something extra ordinary, for being creative you just have to experiment with everything, the popular edits which are creative didn't got creative on their first day, they learnt, messed up, experimented and then found something that they thought was extraordinary, again you can always take inspo from other editors but with credits. I have 8gb dam aswell and I have really bad gpu, I use ae 2020 so I think it'll work fine on yours too, if it has any problem if it lags or anything you can always downgrade it
