The way Chris subtly corrects Ben on the real pronunciation of Calzones is friendship goals
“You know what I like? Calzones.” Is such a perfectly delivered line. You can see him mustering up the courage to speak and then briefly getting so confident cuz he found something to say. Perfect.
lol the cops reaction was perfect too, “what the hell is wrong with this guy?”
Ben is endearingly trying to invent the empanada❤️
LOL imagine how blown his mind would be if he actually HAD an empanada?!
Ah yes, the famous Italian fast food, Empanadas.
Honestly though it is kinda surprising how similar Calzones aren Empanadas are.
@@ODISeth Pierogi....
Mmm... Guava & Cheese Empanadas.
Dreamy.
@@ODISeth to be fair it's cheese and sauce in baked bread it's just a good combo
Small unexpected details you wouldn't expect like "one of the characters loves calzones and reference them every chance he has" explain why this is a great, unique show
I actually used to be obsessed with calzones when I was like... 12? I used to always go to pizza hut and challenge myself to try to eat the really heavy ones all at once
this feels like what goes through Ben's brain at all times tbh
This is the quintessential childhood experience.
You find something you like - then for absolutely no reason, challenge yourself to tackle the largest version of it you know.
@@Your-Least-Favorite-StrangerThats why i slept with the fattest girl in school.
One always just wanted to eat a whole 18" cheese pie but I've only made it to seven slices
Say it right! P-Zone!!!! Don't disrespect the Zone.
I always wanted Ben to stay with the accounting firm...they were all so happy together! 😢
He should've called his restaurant the Local Lo-cal calzone zone
Luv it!
Imagine it were in South California, and the name weren't oficial. It could be the So-called So-Cal Local Lo-cal Calzone Zone
I love Chris and Ron were on the same page about Ben’s food selection being just little calzones.😂
is a small calzone an empanada?
Low Cal Calzone Zone is a legendary name.
"Men have had a very rough of go of it for -- just recently, and it ends NOW!" startled a snort-laugh out of me between my giggles at calzone-related humour
I would laugh, but that entire segment reminded of way too many dumb arguments I've with brain dead idiots on the internet XD.
The calzones… betrayed me? 😂😂
The English translation of this comment is funny
How Germany responded to Italy switching sides
The long-suffering yet still supportive “oh” from Leslie when she realizes where Ben is going with the pie conversation 😂 at 7:38 always cracks me up
I love Ben's brutal fear of police. They're his kryptonite.
It's justified. They can ruin your life based on their mood.
@@Hayanomie Hardly, they're not gods.
@@bobosmodernlife tell that to them
That wink at 6:35 😂
King of the accountants
Like a coy Dutch woman guarding a dark secret 😂
😂I don't know what it means! Why is she Dutch? I love it.
Aa a dutch man, i can confirm this as a thing
That she's actually Danish!
I’d love to see a silly spinoff where Ben actually stays at the accounting firm and is the cool guy. Them all playing cones of dunshire, etc
I like how they literally all have food poisoning and are barely able to move, still go in tonwork
I rewatch this show every couple years. It's about that time again
ben missed an oppurtunity to call it the "local low-cal calzone zone"
This is how you do a running gag lmao.
Low cal calzone zone. I love this Ben energy (Benergy?)
i never noticed till now, the board for caterer #1 says "Bad Meat", no wonder they got food poisoning
They literally have a fast-food oriented Calzone restaurant in Philly called D.P. Dough. You can order calzones and milkshakes there and their open till 2:00 A.M. It's in the neighborhood right next to Drexel. I went their all the time with friends and it was great!
I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT THIS
@@erikaridgway7897 Hell yeah! It's awesome!
There is a place from St. Louis with locations in MO and IN called "Sauce on the Side," which has like _fifteen_ different calzones on the menu.
That menu has me converted into a "both/and" sort of person when it comes to the pizza vs. calzone debate.
I live within walking distance, so I'm getting my steps in.
The Figgy Piggy is my favorite right now, but I don't think I've had a boring calzone there.
@@tantalus_complex That sounds pretty good man. For me on the pizza vs. calzone argument, I'm personally a pizza guy myself, but I do see the appeal in the calzone style as well.
I had a calzone at the Costco food court in Korea, and I totally understand why Ben likes them so much.
2:48 Well, he almost had a great name, "The Low Cal Zone" could've worked haha
"low cal calzone zone" and "my single, 'my single is dropping' is dropping" are 2 of my favorite lines ever.
How in the world is a calzone harder to eat than a slice of pizza? It's literally a less messy, more convenient and more portable version of pizza lol.
Unless there was an issue with the dough which leads to a leakage.
@@crackle6875 A slice of pizza leaks by default
@@_The_Traveler_ Only if you make it hella greasy or load so many toppings on it it cant maintain structural integrity.
Every pizza is different, every calzone though is the same - you have a pocket of filling which gets displaced when you bite. Also the dough to filling ratio is WAY off; the best part of pizza is the toppings, so you can make the crust incredibly thin if you choose. The best part of a calzone is the filling but you have to go through not only two layers of crust but an additional crimped crust edge just to get to it - 3x the crust for the same amount of filling, no thanks.
@@Your-Least-Favorite-Stranger "the best part of pizza is the toppings"
Firm disagree! The cheese and dough is where it's at for me. The sauce is a tasty lubricant so I don't choke to death, and the toppings are an accent that shifts the flavor into whatever direction I feel like.
@@mecklejay7587cheese overload is an American interpretation of pizza, cheese was never meant to be the star ingredient...
❤ me some vegan pizza 😊
“Highway to the Calzone zone!”
The only calzones I accept are the ones with an additional feature baked into the dough or with a sufficient layer of a topping, otherwise it really is just pizza with more dough 😂 I once tried a calzone with bacon chips baked with the dough and brushed with an herbal garlic sauce, that was pretty damn good ngl 👌
I would make a calzone utterly stuffed with cheese, then add bacon, green onion, and potato into the dough.
The best meal I ever had--a four cheese calzone on Church St in San Francisco.
...Tom, is this you?
I grew up in NYLI and Calzone usually had ricotta cheese and rarely had tomato sauce. There where options to filling, my favorite was chicken and peppers or chicken stew.
Every character on this show is perfect
I never until realized that there is actually a fast food calzone place. It's called DP Dough
7:53 laughing about this 2 weeks after the upload and had to come back and watch it lmao
I'm Italian and I'm a bit surprised that nobody talks about panzerotti.
They are literally tiny calzones
Watched this. Immediately picked up a family size stuffed pizza from Papa Murphy's.
Props to Ben's Letters To Cleo shirt!
Big ups to The Architect, the true Maverick.
🎵 Highway to the Calzone Zone 🎶
Now I want a calzone 😂
"He might've just disappeared off the earth" lmao
Always loved that Tom was the one that’s didn’t get sick while the 3 of them all have bad food poisoning
There is a fast food Italian food place in Indiana. It is called Fazzolis.
Honestly calzones are the bombbbb.
The calzone from sbarro was always the move
Ben dialing an extension with his nose...
I love Calzones so much. It doesn't matter what else is on the menu if Calzones, my beloved, are there because I'm always gonna pick them. 🤤🤤
I'm totally with Ben on this, calzones are pretty awesome! (I mean, no one doesn't love pizza but calzones really are pretty great...this also applies to every part of this, aside from the food poisoning bit, lmao)
As I child I loved panzerotti which is is just a deep-fried calzone and it's amazing.
calzonezone
Calzones are just fancy pizza pockets
This calzone slander is evil
0:15: I’m not even a cop anymore and felt insulted😂 Yeoo cops need healthy-asf-options! IBS, Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Back Problems... On top of bad, all night, readily available fast food… Yeoo Cops need occasional salads, at the very least lmao. And by the way, the manner in which they treat calzones and Ben, by extension, is UNFORGIVABLE! They are incredible creations that we should thank Italy and so many Italian Americans for keeping that beautiful, full meal in a pocket, alive! I’m so offended 😂😂😂😂😂😂 🤣 lmao
nice ending
My first instance of food poisoning was a calzone.
Wait is it meat pie they are calling calzone??? Lmaoooo
I love calzones
calzones are his roman empire
The Low-Cal Calzone Zone
Its an Intalian Pasty tbf
I've never had a calzone....is that not like an inverted pizza?

CALZONE
I loved the mini calzones they gave out at middle school and high school now im not sure where to get a good one bc pizza hut doesnt put the sauce in and pizza factory makes their sauce too sweet
With all due respect to Andy, sausage is a great topping, but onions and peppers need not apply. Replace them with more Swanson-approved choices.
I would assume Ron would order a meat lovers pizza
@gamer29591 I would assume Ron would order a meat lovers pizza without the pizza.
Olives. Green olives.
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Can’t believe they got Hugh Jackman to a cameo in P & R!
Why not call it the “local lo-cal calzone zone”
Why am I just noticing the relationships these people have with food is absolutely insane. Leslie with her sugar, Ben and his calzones, Ron Meat, Tom has a special name for every dish and is extremely picky, Chris is the health nut, there’s only a few people on the show with natural food habits and I find it odd that on that list is April, Andy, Gary. I’m definitely missing something but man I love when shows take there time with the characters and world building with these weird through lines and gags really makes these fake places lived in
Greater conspiracy about the food poisoning led calzone.
Calzones do tend to steam their insides, it's a preference thing. I sometimes love the way it turns out, but between pizza and calzones, I end up just eating the pizza.
I am 100% team Calzone! Ben for the Win!💯
What is the big deal abt calzones and does Ben like them sm
These questions may never be answered 😂
I hate calzones. They're literally pizza, just harder to eat. They're literally 95% bread.
Also, how bad do you have to be for Ron to go from "Bad Meat" to a straight up "No." LMFAO. Look at Ben's board.
4:40 One of my favorite Ron quotes.
At least with the calzones that I buy I get more cheese. Mine are usually 2/3 cheese.
love it "Men have had a really rough go for just recently"
For all the Scots out there, Aye, it's a bridie.
Yes but they hate him replied the bot 🤖
I like the idea of a calzone but I’ve never had one..
it’s just pizza folded in half with a dipping sauce..
I’m not a fan of ppl folding pizza to eat it and I don’t like undercooked pizza..
Calzonés is Underwear in Spanish
It confuses me every time they say calzones because that is how we call panties/brief. It really doesn't sound like something I'd like to eat.
Two questions:
First, that's interesting and where are you from?
Second, do you mean underwear or long-legged pants? At least where I'm from, "panties" implies undergarments, while "trousers" imply outerwear.
@@mecklejay7587 I'm from México 🇲🇽. I meant to say boxers or any kind of similar underwear for that matter.
@@yiledute Interesting! Thanks. :)
What’s odd is Ron and Tom voted for number 3
As Tom said he would watch the movie being very very positive
So he just didn’t get it
Hi
Why are they all at work with food poisoning?
People who like hot pockets and hate calzones are hypocrites. Also I think they are the fast food version of pizza. I can eat both.
I’d say it’s more like the perfect love child between a meat pie and a pizza.
Oooo
If they're that sick, why are they at work?
Asking the real questions
Because Pawnee is in America.
Unless you're administered to the hospital and call ahead to let them know you're going (24 hours notice usually): gotta go in.
Last thing you want is a no-call no-show.
Yall, they work for the govt. They could not show for a week, and face no consequences.
@@bandjolynlol tell us you know nothing about govt jobs 😂 miss work : consequences
Actually, the "small calzone" is called empanadilla. So that you all know.
Yeah if baby daffy was in this test tasting the food Ron Ben Chris and Tom were having he wouldn’t get food poisoning they would bring baby food for him
aren’t hot pockets technically calzones?
Biggest cope 😂 pizza is better 😂
Pizza huts new melts are crispy version of calzones I guess, those are pretty good. I like calzone but they seem more doughy then they need to be most of the time. Even when I do like pan thick dough pizza.
I love calzones
