The first part of the story was sad, the twist was sadder, and the last twist was so damn awesome. Literally everyone won except the bad guys

@Zorky in the beginning it seemed like he was just captured and questions with his crew dead. Then the twist was, the crew never existed in the first place and they let him go out of pity. Last twist was the crew was alive because he manipulated the lady questioning him and got away

There's actually a small percentage of hackers that help fix security flaws on people's computers. Others just hack apps to resell them for a far cheaper price. And then there's just people who want to watch the world burn

It's frequently used by scammers, but it usually won't work depending on how knowledgeable or desperate the target is. The old and outdated walking software aka boomers are their prime target since they'll easily believe that sort of thing, or if they're desperate like nft bros.
Social hacking is an incredibly powerful way to compromise a system. Kevin Mitnick made a whole criminal career out of compromising computer systems with social exploits. He wrote a book about it and now has a successful career as a security consultant. Who knew?
I have watched every story recapped in this channel and have always ignored the "spoiler alert" but this time, it hit hard, I shouldve watched this movie first, damn the twist is next level shit. Im gonna watch the movie somehow.

When the movie came out and i had it on dvd it was my fav movie, literally forgot about this but holy shit the plot is so well written.

The only movie I have seen so far, that shows REAL hacking techniques. Pretty sure they talked a lot to real IT guys to help them writing the script for this move. Coming from the that industry IMO one of the best movies about hacking ever made... If you haven't seen the movie skip the recap and watch it in full... You are going to enjoy it :-)

@@vanhoumin well one is a movie the other is a series... sure you can develope a character in the long run... but if you are looking for a 2 hour funtime and you are not that much into series - it didn't get better so far then this one in terms of conection to real world hacking attemts
