Tell us how you did, please for I'm going for mine tomorrow. The outer unit is quite similar to this desigh shown in the video. Willturn off the switch for starters though and wait for things to dry completely afterwards for safety purposes.

I too have daikin ac but i clean the vent system just by splashing few buckets of water and letting it dry for an hour. Cools like new.

I just read for both indoor and outdoor units you can use equal parts water and bleach to sanitize and clean. I advice you don't overdo bleach though for health purposes. You can google the info.
that was good , I dindnt think we could clean it. What about bugs and geckos how do you keep them away ?
Janet D moth balls inside and surface spray works well. Even egg shells on the floor are said to trick geckos into thinking they are snake egg shells.
I personally have a lot of bugs in my area and none of them get near the air conditioner. They avoid building nests in metal cases and such so you should be fine. Geckos are another story.

Is it advisable to use Power washer in cleaning the outdoor unit?
Indian AC’s are a bit different.The removable front guard is taken out and the fins are are brushed to clean the surface.Be careful while doing this as fins have knife edge and get easily bent or blunted by pressure.It can hurt fingers too.Generally in a fitted window AC the back is not visible or removable to clean the fan.No water is used except cleaning the front AC guard and no water is sprayed inside except brush and cloth.The dust filter inside the AC is to be removed and all the collected dust should be brushed out without tearing the fabric.This is the simplest you can do once in 6 months depending on the dust in the air.

Water does not penetrate into the fan?
It is safer if you wrap the fan motor in tinfoil so it doesn't get wet when washing the coil, you can then use more water pressure to clean the coil. Just remember to spray straight into the fins so the water pressure doesn't bend them. art 30yr HVAC tech.

Hello, It will depend upon the settings of air conditioner on which it is running.
wrap the fan motor from water splash into it, more water pressure would be better clean condenser coil fin. Just the water no need any cleaning solvent as it may corrode the fin.

seems like you're just washing with plain water? what do you think about using chemical to wash the coils? if so any recommendation?
for cleaning it foam cleaner/coil cleaner can be used.which will give you better results

I think we should start cleaning with compressed air first then follow it with compressed water for the filter only the electronics components compressed air is quit enough :)
Must be careful because the fan motor coil can be damaged if exposed to water splashes

If you remove the fan blade , you can spray the cooling fins from inside towards the outside. In this way dust etc that is pulled inwards will be easily expelled.

I have a E8 code on my Gree idk what to do i turned power off to if afraid.
Might want to mention something about TURNING OFF THE POWER to the unit before opening it up and servicing. Be pretty nasty if that fan came on while you had your fingers poked in there.

this cleaning is only recomeded for ac outdoor units which are not accesble by rain fall . The side to wash (condenser side )will not be accessible becoz it is generally facing da wall .

This video clearly doesn’t show the guy disconnecting the circuit breaker and fuse (in USA). The capacitor shown to the right side can hold enough voltage even disconnect to stop your heart. And you are playing around with the system spraying water? Don’t comment dummy.
