As a lung cancer survivor I very much understand Dr Lisle, cancer is not a joke but sometimes one needs a real reality check, its day 7 with different doctors each with a different view on cancer so lets keep listening there will be something for all of us, thank Chef AJ keep God on your side, my surgery took place in 1989, I went on to have another child when I was told impossible, never went back for any follow up after my surgery and I have never had any pains besides normal flu, now 65

I'm 70 years old and this thought might be due to my age. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's last August and the first thought I had was gratitude. Not everyone gets to know their expiration date and now I know how I want to finish well.

Chef AJ I keep saying this to you in different venues, but you are an amazing person and a true gift to so many of us out here. I've been following you since early early days on the McDougall discussion board and as a chef AJ observer I have seen so much of your generosity… Of your big heart… Of your intelligence and your incredible energy. I just love you even though we are not really in each other's lives! I'm pushing for you in every single way possible! It's hard to single out one particular video of yours that I like the best but way back in the day you did a video talking about your grandfather… I think it was your grandfather and not your father… And as a physician how you admired his generosity towards his patients and I've never forgotten that… How much his modeling that behavior of generosity and love meant to you and how you want to pass that on. Just know that you have been incredibly successful in that arena!

I found some of his comments to be disturbing (although maybe that's what he was aiming for?). Like the possibility we could all be dead from cancer in 9 months, especially those of us over 60. I am not saying he's wrong, but I just don't find remarks like that to be helpful, especially as I already suffer from cancer anxiety after the death of both of my parents from this disease. I would rather focus and think about what I can do. I have found the other guests this week to be more empowering.

Cancers can also survive on ketones. Seyfried is a biology professor who has never studied oncology, who is loud in the social media space but his studies are based on mouse models and his mechanistic approach is simplistic. Many anecdotes that praise him have also had conventional treatments (chemo, radio, surgery etc) prior to their cancers going into remission.
