9:06 you know what also discourages people from playing Pokémon GO? life, a job, making money, going shopping, school. People already have a limited amount of time to spend on leisure games so making things harder on them will only damage the games reputation. Unless of course the target audience is casual players and retired people, but it's not.
Every chore this game forces on players, from feeding candies to any buddy or gym Pokemon, to evolving Pokemon, to trading, to even spinning stops and catching -- features animations that are so lengthy it's insulting to anyone who cares about their time. You should be able to unlock faster ways to do these things with certain Pokémon or medals, it wouldn't even hurt the profitability of the game. At this point I'm pretty sure the devs are just extremely unmotivated or lazy. The player experience is so bad, it's just a question of how much of your time are you willing to waste.
Curious why you're not doing routes. They give a lot of rewards (incl TMs and Rare Candy), and the gift from Mateo isn't annoying. Why does Mateo matter? You also get hearts for your buddy and a good exercise, along with seeing some new things you haven't seen before.
Niantic should have made it possible to train pokemon to improve their IVs. Things like doing raids with specific pokemon to improve their IVs, defend gyms, complete a certain amount of walking, etc. There is so many possibilities but Niantic just doesn't care for anything other than their profits.
These Dynamax battles feels so unfun and not needed at all... We already have hundo's of these pokémons, just let us win item (or something) to Dynamax them instead!
me and my two star Zygarde and 4 cells checking in lol is it like this for other mobile games? like, why is absolutely everything Niantic does so tone deaf? it's like they either don't care or they care entirely too much about the wrong things. if I didn't love Pokemon as a franchise so much, I would have deleted the app long ago.
trust me when i say, there are a lot better games thats worth your attention out there than this game. the mobile game industry has come a very long way and pokemon go is nowhere near the top in terms of time investment/fun/entertainment
Nailed it , from the altering of the raid system , to nerfing my favorite Pokémon ( a Zekrom and Reshiram) which was the final straw along with at least for myself i NEVER got over them nerfing remote raids, I’m happy to be in exile, i can’t pretend to keeping believing this game is fun, i wish more ppl would understand this , dope vid too count
This comment is amazing. Nerfing my favorite Pokemon? You poor dear. Did they slightly change the state on your special Pokemon? That Pokemon that makes no difference in any game mode? And you have an issue with them nerfing remote passes? They slowed down your gambling addiction I get it. They chose to take less money from you. Wow. This company is absolutely incompetent and making non-stop bad decisions. But let’s ignore those. Raid Shadow Legends might be your next game.
@@Dave-vu3yn oh so you’re a doltish , gormless TH-cam troll, got it, while i appreciate you sharing your experience, i think for the both of us, you’re better off playing in mid day traffic, i hope you have the day you deserve 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
@@alfiesmullet1311 when they changed the raid system , certain moves got nerfed and buffed, in Reshiram’s case fire fang got nerfed along with ever Pokémon that can learn fire spin getting a huge buff, since reshiram can’t learn fire spin in the MSG, it got drastically nerfed same thing with Zekrom, charge beam got a little buff , not compared to the buff Spark and all the Pokémon that can learn that fast move got
@@Dave-vu3ynglad I wasn’t the only one. If they were as terrible as people seem they would continue taking your raid money. They actually care about the game evolving it just takes time
They should have just kept remote raids as is instead of nerfing them. Not really in favor of your idea of lowering the IV floor to 5 instead of 10 for remote raids either. They should have just buffed in person raiding..... like maybe higher shiny rate or slightly better rewards or even exclusive moves from pokemon in person.
Exactly. They shouldn't punish people who have to/want to remote raid, they should have made in-person raiding more rewarding. You catch more flies with honey, don't punish the behavior you want to see, etc. etc.
Man we gotta tell niantic about a thing called listening to the community, they genuinely ruined the game most people loved, we have to find a way to make niantic aware of all these stupid decisions they made, especially the remote raid pass price hike and limit
the whole game is about spinning pokestops and throwing pokeballs. if they listened to the community you would be sitting on ur butts which was never the point of the game.
You are right, the game has felt like a chore and way more of a time sink. I stopped doing global go fests because it was so much of my time that could be better spent on things. The big thing for me also was xl candy exchange rates. You can’t compete in master league if you are a ftp that doesn’t grind like crazy. It’s just way too much to get cl candy for legendary pokemon when you could Max out at Lvl 40 all your pokemon before the lvl jump. I think people raid more for shiny hunting than ivs now but man, if they had bottle caps or evs and used those in a thoughtful way it’d be great. Everything now is a money grab and I’m just tired of it.
@@TreFKennedy not a troll, ive been playing the game from day one even when it was buggy as heck with those grass distance things instead of the pokestop. all you do is complain about how you could be doing other things but here you are still playing. take count jinsula as an example. this dude is the epitome of two timing. his literally videos alternate from worst game, to best game every other video. the man cant stick to one side because it gets views. hes the real troll here and you guys love him.

"A lot of things I want out of Pokemon Go, Niantic just is not delivering." Truer words ne'er spoken. I started this game in 2019 with the express purpose of battling in tournaments. I got 2nd in the final Silph regionals (lost to a RPS coin flip). This game has not evolved at all. The only battle mode option is blind 3v3, the WORST competitive format EVER MADE in ANY Pokemon game. Why can't we do 6v6? Why is it always buggy? Why is it such a chore just to get good Pokemon with the stupid XL system? Why does Niantic wait 20 seasons to nerf Counter only to copy the stats to Sucker Punch? Why does Niantic nerf all the EXPENSIVE mons players invested in and the new good options require multiple legacy moves? Why do Water types get the keys to the kingdom while Electric, Grass, and Fire types struggle to exist? So many people praise the current GBL update but fail to realize it represents how Niantic can & will strip away anything of value the player invests time, effort, and stardust into. I just can't be bothered any more.
I agree with most of what you say. I haven’t played Pokémon GO for two days now. I’ve grown to dislike raiding, especially solo, and doing Dynamax raids while collecting the same Pokémon over and over again. I’ve lost the motivation to play because after getting my favorite Pokémon in shiny with low IVs, grinding for candies and coins has become tiresome, i hardly got ANY zygard cells... also not getting a good IV Charcadet from eggs has only added to the frustration. Thanks for the video.
In short Niantics selling things the community doesn't want to buy....for me personally I'm in it for shinies & raiding. pvp isn't enjoyable and walking around isn't exciting but I'm only really active between releases of main line games....can't imagine this being the only pokemon game to play.
To even get shinys you have to get in the car and drive around. We used to walk at parks, and now we realize the parks don’t have shinies. You gotta drive down the road to different parts of town just to get shinies. It’s been proven time and time again. You cover more ground in a vehicle, so we play in the car now 😂
Niantic has *never* understood why people play the game. They just see the IP as a money printing machine for their AR business. John Hanke needs another water bottle thrown at him to remind him what we think of his direction and handling with this game. Bottle Caps are way overdue. Niantic is just way too afraid of giving the player what they want in fear of said player finding their end game and dropping the game. But… being at the mercy of RNG with no influence on it is feels so repetitive and unrewarding which also convinces people to play less. I’m surprised we even got TMs.
Did they up the difficulty in max raid battle? Even the 1 star once feel different.. even the catch rate for me feels different.. maybe its just me.. its still easy solo but feels off for me
@@pogo-short-tips oh so that is why..hmm where do you check for changes and updates? im new to pokemon go about a 2 weeks old so I dont know a lot of stuff yet
Ramote raids : unlimited & half price. With same IV and shiny chance. But less candy reward. (May be half or 2/3) Should be better like this. Routes : Zygarde should be able to reroll IVs and should not be so difficult to do that. Reduce Zygarde cell amount to evolve it!! It needs tooo muchnof work so people don't care about it. Should be at most 50 cells for complete form.
Raids is more than chasing IVs, it’s to chase XL candies. It’s almost impossible to collect XL candies without raiding. It’s so hard to collect XL. Master league is pay to win now…
They should allow the Pokémon to lvl up their IV as you best buddy and level them up. The idea is that no matter what the IV a Pokémon is when you catch them. If you spend the time and effort, they can and would grow into a strong Pokémon much like the animated series. The nostalgia aspect would be there for leveling up the first Pokémon that you catch. Also, the Pokémons should be able to learn more moves. Let’s say 2 quick attack move buttons on the left and 3 charge move buttons on the right. The battles would be sooo much more intriguing.
There's where you are wrong, Niantic understands completely. They understand that no matter what they do people are going to keep playing the game and giving them their money no matter what. I sunk a ton of money into this game, and it was hard to walk away, sunk cost fallacy. But, I did walk away. The game wasn't worth it anymore. Niantic cares about the bottom line, that's it. As long as people pay them and give their personal data, Niantic wins. They don't have to listen to the community, why? The community has no leverage until they stop paying and stop playing.
Poké Rogue had that system of IV floor increase each x pokemon of the same species caught, but like gold and silver bottle caps it's QOL improvement and obviously Niantic prefers more randomness so they can sell you paid tickets for another lottery chance.
Something that doesn't make any sense is alot of people say why would they fix pvp when people don't play? Lol they don't play because its broken and its the core reason for pg is battles
It's not that surprising... GameFreak hasn't made a good game in a decade and Nintendo's more interested in suing PocketPair for Palworld than making good games.
@@preemptivefaceplant5277 Would love to know where the source of this baseless accusation comes from. I'm all for earning things in games, but making things a prolonged chore favors no one.
I am a die hard spoofer for 6 years now and I am totally bored with the game. Totally agree with Count. They have lost their plot. If me a spoofer can get bored, I'm sure legit players are too. Bye bye PokemonGo. I'm giving up playing totally.
Personally I'm still salty about the remote raid nerf 😂 as to routes, party play and dynamax, I rarely if ever use them, they are seriously boring. I'll just carry on with the level grind and quit when I hit Lvl 50.
Im salty that i dont want to play pokemon the way it was meant to be. If you want to be lazy then stop playing pokemon go then. play the other pokemon games.
As someone who has played more often than not from day 1 on, the unique experience point you nailed. The game can definitely get stale at times, especially seeing the same 30 pokemon all the time. I believe they could do more with the Legendary raid system and encounters with mythicals/legendaries from field research. The tasks are always tedious, and spamming to take down a boss gets old and is boring. What made going after these legendaries fun in the base games was the journey and area around it, the rarer and high level pokemon and trainers you encounter along the way, then the strategy of the battle with the boss was a big part too. If Niantic can revamp and incorporate aspects of that I think it could get some soul back into the game.
It’s boring because they are trying to make it a collection game only. Some of us are not into collecting. Some of us want a competitive aspect to the game. There’s no Pokemon that a true trainer can get based on skill or being a hardcore trainer. The casual trainer can come in twice a month and obtain the same Pokemon you can. Imagine showing trainers a strong Pokemon you have that they still have not achieved? How exciting is that! It brings desire, passion and fun to the game. Also Dynamax raids are overrated. We don’t need another set of the same Pokemon that cannot be used in raids.
@@guauguaugaming8061 oh i thought i said strong Pokemon. Libre is not strong. Plus, virtually the only way to get it is if you are pay to win. Majority of pvp Pokemon are only good if you have Xl candies. So there’s no credit there. I don’t mean buy your way to win. I meant compete. As for zygarde. That’s actually a semi luck achievement. Because they only gave us one to evolve and majority of trainers got a bad iv that we are not going to follow their routes for nothing. I only evolve high IV, PVE relevant Pokemon. I am not a “shiny” collector either.
Not true ive seen many ppl lose in pvp with high cp and zygarde is a massive grind unless you got in early and cheated using a hack to get cells... master league isnt necessarily pay to win like ppl think and great league is a joke hunting stupid iv stats...
12:03 Especially when there's a hard cap per day of 3. So that's at least 84 days of walking routes to get a complete Zygarde (literally 3 months). I don't mind the project... just wish I could get more at a time... and for those who got lousy ones, I feel for them.
@@andreslancheros2863 because that wasn't the purpose of the game. They are trying to stay as true to the original purpose of the game as possible. That was to get people out and about. Getting the physically active. People talk about how games are only cash grab " your comment as an example" but here we have a game that literally limits remote raids so they can force people out of thier house and be active. The original intent of the game. They are sacrificing revenue to hold true to that.
@@preemptivefaceplant5277Sacrificing revenue to hold true to the spirit of the game?? I’m sorry but that claim is full of it. They’re using it as a money syphon. However, they want you to “get out of the house” strictly for the data you will provide them. Which, is more valuable to them. That’s it. They are an AR software company first and foremost. They don’t care about your game experience as long as it somehow entices you to “explore” for their sake.
With routes they definitely could have used Zygarde the same way they do with the galar birds for the daily incense. I know for me, I would be doing way more of that was that case. Also not allowing us to trade them was a big disappointment. If I could find one randomly just like the birds and have the ability to lucky trade I would be doing routes every day but no. Like you said, I got a bad IV and lost interest pretty quickly once the reality of how much effort it takes to get the complete form hit.
I think the best way to get people to actually move while playing this game is an auto collect mode within the game that you can just turn on that will catch while you walk instead of having to stop every two seconds to catch or spin, to that end I don't see any need for the physical devices. Niantic could easily put an auto mode in the game that you could toggle on and off, if you wanted to make money then just charge a monthly fee or something to keep it active.
Defeats the point of going if we constantly have to stop what we’re doing. It’s to a point my dogs know where to stop and wait on walks before I even check my phone to spin and battle a rocket grunt… this game really is an inhibitor on life as a whole
I started in 2016 but just returned to the game after 5 years this past summer so I'll offer the perspective of a returning player. The game is in a pretty good spot right now. The basic gameplay loop of catching Pokemon and using them to battle in gyms/raids/PVP is better than ever because of the sheer variety available. Raid Days weren't a thing when I initially quit and they are by far the most fun I have in this game. If you're in the top 10% of players, I can see why you'd be annoyed after investing precious resources like Rare Candy XL and Elite Charged TMs into high IV Pokemon only to see them nerfed, but for the majority of the players we are simply not there yet. I'm enjoying filling my Dex and using spicy 'mons in the Great League. I don't care if my grass raid attackers have slightly higher/lower DPS because I'm raiding with 19 other people anyway.
@@cecagnasame here I’m returning and they are just salty. It will always be that way. You can finally find that hundo metagross or whatever after grinding hundreds of raids. Only for tthem to now have dynamax raids where you need to rehunt a new hundo beldum that can dmax. They keep recycling these new features which are the same thing which keeps you in the hundo/grind forever. Over and over with the same pokemon. I like the game but I’m starting to realize why people who play a ton are starting to see through the BS. Next it’ll be terastalization and we need to basically rehunt everything
Part of the lack of wanting to finish the Dex is that the Go Tour being the way to finish the Dex for each game region was broken with the Sinnoh Tour earlier this year. The three prior years, I looked forward to the regional tour to finish my dex of the at hand region. Remember the buzz around finally getting Kecleon and going places to find it? Finally getting the Hoenn badge after not knowing if we ever would... kind of like how Keldeo is now, almost 2 years after its Paywall debut.
Agree on not trying to fill the pokedex now. I've pretty much given up on the legendaries now due to all the issues with raids and the remote raid nerf.
Mostly agree only thing I’d say different is that in the mainline game you can train ivs. Why not make it so you have a chance to get feathers that can change your Iv’s up or down by 1 point. Everyone would be doing routes
I've been wanting something new like growing Poffins and creating picnic to feed multiple pokemon like (Scarlet and Violet) in a mini game, would be such a great idea. I honestly think seeing that there be multiple mini games that gives exclusive items would really excite players to go out!
The best move is focusing on pvp. Make battles 3-5 pokemon options. Give players rankings similar to Call of Duty after a certain amount of wins. Make seasonal PvP tournaments for each league. Change the arena for battles and probably revamp that to be a modern feel. When you battle Groudon for example it should be at a volcano or something.
YES!!! I wanted to note a few other things. It seems like the limitations on remote raid passes and not allowing trades long distance can really be a disservice to people who cannot always go out to meet people to play or achieve the goals turning people off from playing. If they wanted to incentivize people to play more I think making PVP as an achievement requirement would be more interactive than always having to do a power up or a trade. Would get people who don't normally play PVP in there and might be cool if they did more with battles. I think that the grunts can feel pretty boring as well. If those spawned in a more unique way that was actually spawning you into a battle PVP style that would raise the stakes a bit and make me a bit more engaged. The gift system could be a lot more customized and they really don't make use of utilizing best friends for much when far away. Could be cool to make some more interactable game play for best friends in the game even if far away. They just are getting a little stale and moving away from things that make me feel excited to play. I used to get SO excited to remote raid with a big legendary but now with the limit I play 5 raids and I am pretty over it the rest of the day.
Absolutely agree on almost everything here. I love the game but it's thw same old legends in raids now and thankfully max power raids have brought me back a bit but without it, I was seriously struggling to care about anything new, especially when Niantic seem to have nothing but contempt for their player base.
You nailed it! I've been playing for under a year and you've discribed the absence of heart in this game. I love raiding and getting the stronger pokemon. I don't have a physical party to raid with, I just don't feel compelled to do much in this game anymore.
They killed remote raids to make people explore. But what actually happened was they made only one place to go in the entire city where you could maybe find people in person. Thus, killing exploration in favor of concentration. :P I do have a really good Zygarde. I spent months walking the route I made trying to earn the energy ball. I would get an energy ball maybe twice out of five times walked. I gave up. I'm sitting at 77 energy after nearly a year of actually trying.
Yeah the mythical system sucks, you pay money and most likely get shit IVs and have no motivation to power them up 😅 Niantic needs to reward people more for their efforts and money
Here’s a list of things I would like. tasks that can be toggled from basic to expert? Make the tasks harder get better rewards. More medals Stats! Let me see who on my friends who threw the most excellent throws in the month, or most catches, most rocket battles, etc. have it reset every month to keep it fresh. Bonus question lines that are extremely rare but can be found in the wild at random pokestops. Capture cards as backgrounds on main page and friends page view. Right now capture cards are for your eyes only.
Perfect IVs are nice, but what's more realistic to raid for is XL candy. Niantic has arguably the biggest carrot to dangle in the form of rare XL candy and Id personally go hard to get it because I have a bunch of legendaries I want to max out.
They need to introduce breeding like in the mainline games. Include items that increase the likelihood that the egg has good IV’s. They already have the eggs mechanic. Also, allow us to toss eggs.
I´ve been saying that for years! Make something like "if you catch 500 wooloo, the 501 will be a guarantee shiny" in that way people can try to complete their shiny dex and that becomes something attainable as well The game has no goals and nothing to aim to at the moment
Create an item that you can only get via completing routes called an “IV Booster”. Make it rare (maybe 2%). It will boost any non hundo pokemon by one point in their IV’s.
Agreed. All the special research Pokémon I got were 2*…I give 0 $#*t$ about all of them. Why waste my time on garbage IV Pokémon. The lack of complete restructuring of the game feels more like money grab than misunderstanding. Making raids harder while also having those ridiculously short time frames to engage with the legends makes it really difficult to coordinate raid parties of 5-6 people in the physical world. Going online while connected to wick so you don’t drop signal…with a group of Poke $penders 5 times a day is the easiest way to get the legends and candies you need. Niantic created the circumstances we are all plying in.
I'm one of those with crappy Zygarde IV's, however I still do routes in hopes that they do allow you to get another one. Also, the rewards can be pretty decent. 1K stardust everytime, sometimes golden razz's, and the occasional elite fast TM aren't too shabby.
Well said I've done over 65 raids of zacian but didn't get a single shiny nor a hundo.. this is really frustrating as a Pokémon go player.. Niantic needs to fix this issue as players who raid soo much for hundo's and shiny they must get what they want and what they deserve..
It does feel like a chore. I have my checklist that I am just gonna copy/paste. 😓 1) Catch a Pokemon 2) Open and send gifts 3) Mega evolve Pokemon 4) Interact with buddies 5) Spin a Pokestop 6) Complete a research task 7) Use the daily Incense 8) Complete routes (0/3) and collect Zygarde cells (0/3) 9) Spin a gym to collect a daily raid pass 10) Complete a raid 11) Collect a maximum amount of MP from Power Spots 12) Complete Max Battles until all MP is depleted 13) Put a Pokemon in a gym for PokeCoins 14) Collect gifts for the next day 15) Collect 100 Pokemon on alt account to trade later 16) Trade 100 Pokemon for XL candy 17) Enter/Check status of Showcases if available (0/3) 18) Clear inventory 19) Clear Pokemon storage 20) Add a nickname "online" to people that are online 21) Do GBL battles? 22) Use Pokemon Go Plus + to track sleep
I'm waiting for a breeding system, that would make the IV situation easier, and for legendaries simply bring them back to the box and add occassionally them in other features like buddy adventure finding X.
As a player who deleted my old level 50 account and started fresh a few months ago after taking over a year off, Niantic is making the game very hard for newbies to catch up. I can't farm raids in bulk like I used to because only 5 remotes a day and too expensive to do even that much too often. So I can't get the candy I need to level up the raid bosses I do catch. More and more new content is locked in stuff like the new max battles. Well I won't have enough candy to power up and unlock moves and all that for those, and it is yet another thing I will need help to do, but now I am a more casual player who does not want to do many meet ups for raids or max battles, so I will probably just ignore that feature and miss out on whatever they lock in it. I feel that I am now so behind I will never catch up to what I was with my old account. I am fine with that because I have decided to take a much more casual approach (and I may stop playing again soon anyway for a while). Some newer players who may want to dive in may feel they can't catch up because farming anything is harder now. All those old research line and CDs are not coming back or not for a long time. It is hard to get newer players who see that unlike the days when I had 6 powered up of most legendaries, they will not be able to do that.
In Gen 7 of the main series game, you could merge multiple Zygardes to get a perfect form. If we had the option of catching more, it could make it a fusing option and give us more candy. It's hard to get hyped for self contained content that doesn't blend well and you feel cheated with what you are given. Not been a fan of the direction they were going since 2022 when they started taking away what they gave during global health crisis. Those made the game more accessable to all, now it just feels like it's exclusionary.
I think it would be very awesome if we could do something to train our pokemons, something that could get the iv's a little bit up, like purifying does, but not just pressing a button and sepending resources. Imagine like having pokemon centers to go heal your pokemons and get better its stats, or some sort of mini game training mechanic in gyms, or even needing to interact with some othe trainer to do it. I'd be so happy knowing that 100 iv's does not depend only on luck but also dedication. I mean I have played 250+ lvl 5 raids since Go Fest and haven't got a single hundo (just two 98's). It's demoralizing after all the money you give to Niantic. I've been actually thinking of quitting and instead using that money for some other game that make us the players feel that we are been taken care of.
yeah my zygard is kinda meh... i do one route regularly cause it's like right along my path home, but i don't go out of my way to do them. the dynamax system annoys me more though. i wish it was more like mega evolution where you could raid for specific Dmax energy, and then feed your existing pokemon this energy to use our existing pokemon instead of having to build up another charizard or squirtle just for this...
Another reason for me at least is the fact that certain pokemon aren’t always available and we have to wait for them again or even pay for them when they do return, for example victini or zarude. Without these pokemon I can’t complete my Pokédex
How INSANE is it that they still haven't fixed the Go++ issue where we can't auto catch while our phones in our pocket At least they did address it on X and are working on it, but God damn how fucking long does it have to take? It's been like 2 weeks, including the entirety of the 2x stardust event I hate them so much 🤣
I do agree that Niantic should have ways, especially for long term players, to focus on IVs. I know that I am always looking for better PVP and Raid IV's on pokemon I like to use. I see a lot of new folks on line almost constantly so I can see where Niantic wants to cater to them too but once they learn about IVs they will probably focus there too. My experience with the remote raids may not have been everyone else's. My local town has TONS of raid gyms. We would call out hatch times in discord and plan to raid accordingly should we get enough interest. Once the remote raids came out instead of meeting and doing the raids the ONLY response you would get is "I'll take a remote invite". You can be at pretty much any gym in town in 5-10min so its not like it would tank your day. Even for clusters where you might do 2 or 3 raids without having to leave, no one bothered showing up anymore. Heck I knew people that wouldn't walk down the street to do a raid they could easily see from their house. I saw a video before the nerf warning players that Niantic wasn't happy with the over use of remote raids and there would be nerfs coming if we as players didn't make adjustments. Well when I would post about that and try to warn people all I got was hate about how they can't nerf it and no one was gonna tell us how to play the game and I was a jerk for threatening them. about a year after that we had the remote nerf and everyone seems surprised. I feel like if Niantic gave us a warning, like "hey guys, we want you doing in person raids not remote and if we don't see a (random percentage) increase in the in person raiding then we will have to consider remote raid nerfs" it would have allowed us the opportunity to save how it was with some minor adjustments to our game play style. However we didn't get the chance and that is what I think hurts the most. While SOME players legit can't do a lot of in person raiding there are a lot more of us in suburban areas that could maybe make it a point to do 2 or 3 in person 1-3* raids to counter balance the multiple remotes we do on Wed raid hour. Walk down the street to do in person raids rather than remote so the prices don't increase. Things like that. We should have had the chance. Thanks Niantic.
Started 1 year ago, played intensly,, spent way over $1000, not sure exactly how much. After reaching level 50 1 month ago I lost all motivation. Tried played today but its all the same same. I cant even be bothered eveolve the new pokemons i havvnt dexed yet. How some of you guys kept motivation 5 years its admirable
Great video. You said many of the same sentiments that I've been saying for a while. The game constantly is contradicting itself For example, "Get out there and explore and meet people" But you stay home to do PvP. "Walk around the neighborhood" But stay at this one pokestop for a half hour while a lure is on. "Catch, raid, trade, play with your buddy, spin stops, open and send gifts" But ignore all that while you have a lure going and just focus on those G-birds. "Be aware of your surroundings" But bury your head in your phone so you don't miss a tiny gimmighoul spawn or teeny tiny zygarde cell. I could go on but I think you get the point.
I've hatched 11 eggs from Matteo, hoping to get the shiny White Stripe Basculin since that started. I like the new party system for making raids easier by increasing damage, which shows they understand (at least a little bit) that IV's are a player goal in raids. I'll admit that I do agree with the fact that certain facets of the game are boring, like sending/opening gifts, and getting gifts in general, but I just got together with a friend today and did some Zacian raids in person. Also, read this sentence a couple times: "I think they [Niantic] don't understand that the game is never going to be that (like 2016) ever again, and the reason why I believe that is because the game is just simply different from when the game first launched." From 0:39 It's different because they made changes. It's not that Niantic doesn't know it's never going to be the same, it's (some of) the players... With statements like that, and the fact that 3 of your 4 most recent videos have titles like: "This is a Stacked Month!!" "Do Not Miss This!!" and "The Most Important Raid!!" this channel gives me the worst whiplash. I honestly can't tell if you believe what you're saying, or if this channel is pandering to a community built for people to able to embrace negativity under the veil of online anonymity.
They have not listened or care about anything the players care about since raids were introduced. Raids need a MAJOR overhaul, the current random apperance of raid eggs and 1 hour incubation just does not work. We need raids like Dynamax battles, The raid appears at say 6, 9, 12, 3 oclock and last 2 hours and 45 minutes, at which time a new raid appears at every gym every day all day, that way when I am out I know there will be raids
Seriously lol there is a tier system to this Mania . My girlfriend hates that I play , I will have to stop playing for ever if I do not win a tournament next year, it’s a forced ultimatum (the other option she proposed was to break up and that is not an option) she hates the games because I care about it and I hardly play I watch more content on it than I actually play💀
After traveling to a go fest and seeing how players are treated locally vs a real city wide go fest experience.... it's tough when the game has the ability to make the global events so much more.
Your 100% right! I do routes cause I live in a rural area. I can't raid 4,5 star raids and not many poke stops. My Zyguard is crappy! I thought I could get another one but we can't like you said. Am to deep in to stop with only 90 left to complete my 200 and finish. Reg pokemon usually are crap. I wish niantic would ready follow you cause you really got amazing ideas. Thank you brother for all you do for the community!!! Be looking forward to your next video. 👏🏽✌🏽👍🏽🙏🏽🌴❤️🌴
I agree, i only do routes when i have the availability and to hopefully make it easier to get a galarian bird when using incense. Raids i only do remotely now when i can get passes due to family. Thankfully they haven't taken away the remote passes. But yeah goah master leagus you have not chance unless you get lucky or you've been grinding the event and raid pokemon.
I like Routes. It's allowed me to get some Pokemon from around the World from some cool places I've never been. And that's also allowed me to trade those I don't want and boost my trade distance medal. I've got my Nuclear Trio that I've kept. A Goomy from Fukushima, a Grimer from Hiroshima and a Meowth from Fukushima. In saying that, I've also got 129 Zygarde Cells, as my Zygarde is pretty crap, so I haven't wasted them on it
Zygarde cells should be guaranteed drops with route completion rewards. Half the time, they don't even spawn. Also, you should be able to get as many as you want per day. 3 a day is a slog given the fact that the cells are so inconsistent.
They need to implement a gym leader system. We've got dynamax now but no gym leaders which go back to gen 1 and still don't exist. In the main games you would travel routes to towns/ cities where you could find gyms and gym leaders. Why not add gym leaders popping up at the end of routes instead of stupid Mateo and allow you to battle them, collect gym badges and eventually challenge the elite 4 and champion
The whole concept of IVs is to make players sink more time into the game, and having them distributed randomly (rather than earned in some way or just flat across the board) is a gambling mechanic. Min-maxing is NOT FUN in Pokemon GO. There's no skill in it, there's no sense of achievement. You could randomly get a 100% on your first catch, or literally never get it. Just a roll of the dice and another dollar spent. All you get is a spike of good-feels when you see that sparkle or all the bars go red. I think the console games are super lame about this as well. Frankly, any game with randomly rolled stats is disrespecting the player's time. It does nothing except make a dedicated player repeat content ad nauseum until they get the ideal stats they're looking for. This is a problem with modern video games as a whole.
No lie it’s just rage bait at this point, don’t get me wrong does the game have issues yeah it does what game doesn’t, but it’s literally back and forth. One day he is praising the game of what’s coming and how amazing it is then the next day it’s saying the opposite. He can never make up his mind that’s why out of all the pokemon go youtubers I watch poke ak cause he keeps it real just my opinion though.
I follow one route daily as I walk home. Got a 98 Zygarde but it sucks that I rarely get cells following the same route. I do not bother anymore, very tedious.
They should add proteins to the game, so you can potentially make a hundo pokémon. Maybe only allow you to level up each stat by two to three and show that they have been increased with a different colour segment.
Floor iv zygarde owner here. I still do routes every day even tho it feels nearly fruitless. Best part is that I OFTEN go a week or more without a cell.
I mainly do legendary raids firstly is for the shiny, Secondly would be strong IVs if the pokemon is actually relevant enough to grind for but a shiny just feels more rewarding than strong IVs, don't get me wrong Hundos feel great but if I have a Hundo pokemon that isn't strong or relevant enough for raids or PVP, once I get the shiny I don't waste anymore money raiding it
If they really believe the game should be about exploration, then they really should put more effort into that area of the game. Taking away remote raiding was one thing, but incentivizing people to get back outside and catching mons never seemed to take priority after that shift. Every new season just feels scattershot, from the events down to the wild spawns. I personally can't get over how they release 1 new shiny for a 4 or 5 day event, and then hide it away for seasons on end. Shiny hunting at least makes daily catching somewhat enjoyable.
New player here. Been playing for only a month now, and I kinda disagree with most of your arguments. Maybe because I am a new player? It could be, but like “Niantic should create things to incentivize people to go out and catch certain Pokemon”, I literally was sitting in my couch and then received a flare notification for a nearby Zacian raid and I ran there to try to team up with some players and catch a Zacian since I really wanted one, and I could never get one by myself. Another thing about completing the Pokedex, I don’t think that way. I am constantly thinking about my Pokemons and which ones I have that I want to evolve, and how I can get new ones by trading, evolving, raiding or battling rocket leaders and grunts. In my perspective, as new player, I would have counter arguments to most of the things you said. As a seasoned player, you might have a point. But that’s totally your opinion on the current state of things.
As a person who likes exploration and never touches pvp the game still feels worse More pokemon with lower catch rates mean if I am walking my dog and want to pause to catch something, its multiple great throws through the attack animations. I’d rather just keep walking. And if I use go++ to just deal with all the lil guys but see a Galarian bird/random evolved form pop up, I sometimes cant click on it fast enough to beat the ranger from throwing a pokeball at it Even routes that have very clear paths (on a sidewalk around a park), if my phone’s gps messes up and I’m not actively looking at it, I can’t finish the route because I missed a random 30m stretch in the middle.
It's simple just listen to what the community has to say, niantic doesn't have to implement everything right away just meet us half way. But niantic doesn't care about that they want everyone to go out and get fit..... even though they now have avatars that look like they eat too many donuts. About the route thing it sucks I did 3 routes twice and only managed to get a single Zygard cell at the last one. Just one zygard cell wtf. Oh and don't get me started on GBL. smh.
go out and get fit. that was literally the big thing when it came out. trying to keep to it while people cry about not being able to be fat lazy fcks. im glad they ignore the community.
@@speedonthisFor me, the problem is that Niantic wants more money from the pay to win players. By having 2 sets of the same Pokemon, you now need to use stardust on 2 of them instead of one. For example, we already have a team of strong Metagross with good ivs and legacy movesets that we worked on for years. And then Niantic wants us to do it all over again to take your money. I am free to play so i stay away from Dynamax because they are useless in raids.
Interesting that you brought up routes, because the thing that makes me despise these developers is the difficulty of getting Zygarde cells. Today I decided to grind for them and it took me FIFTEEN routes to be able to get my three Zygarde cells for the day, and along the way, I had multiple "route paused" messages and was forced to go back to spots earlier in the route. This was an hour and a half of grinding on a bike, and I'm still only at 36 Zygarde cells. Their commitment to make this game impossible and as least fun as possible is astounding.
Love these kinda videos cuz nothing wrong with a good discussion. I wish they listened fr, so many good points made: Zygrade & routes, remote raid, playing daily feeling like a chore now… I can say tho that 5/5/5 iv floor is crazy count lmaooo
While I think many people agree with you because they are trainers with your same preferences and purposes, I personally completely disagree. I am a collector who loves doing the game tasks. Completing Pokédexes and earning platinum medals which show my achievements is my priority. I’ve played since the game was released. Not interested in IVs, don’t even know well how they work, just see them mentioned online. I love collecting Pokemon, I have my favorites which are the ones I have multiple of each, but my purpose as collector to complete the Pokédex, I really only need one of each. I love doing the researches, tasks, routes, having best buddies etc.
Just finished my Zygarde complete. It is a 15/12/13. It’s cool because it’s XL but there’s no way I’m doing it again for the shiny version. Niantic is very disconnected from their game.

9:06 you know what also discourages people from playing Pokémon GO? life, a job, making money, going shopping, school. People already have a limited amount of time to spend on leisure games so making things harder on them will only damage the games reputation. Unless of course the target audience is casual players and retired people, but it's not.
Niantic developers are Sped they can’t comprehend common sense
Every chore this game forces on players, from feeding candies to any buddy or gym Pokemon, to evolving Pokemon, to trading, to even spinning stops and catching -- features animations that are so lengthy it's insulting to anyone who cares about their time. You should be able to unlock faster ways to do these things with certain Pokémon or medals, it wouldn't even hurt the profitability of the game. At this point I'm pretty sure the devs are just extremely unmotivated or lazy. The player experience is so bad, it's just a question of how much of your time are you willing to waste.
I literally haven't done a single route since they introduced Mateo. Got weak IV zygarde that's just not worth it.
I feel the same way.
@@ToledoPitbull We can't trade them either, right?

Curious why you're not doing routes. They give a lot of rewards (incl TMs and Rare Candy), and the gift from Mateo isn't annoying. Why does Mateo matter? You also get hearts for your buddy and a good exercise, along with seeing some new things you haven't seen before.
Niantic should have made it possible to train pokemon to improve their IVs. Things like doing raids with specific pokemon to improve their IVs, defend gyms, complete a certain amount of walking, etc. There is so many possibilities but Niantic just doesn't care for anything other than their profits.
Or doing those tasks can help u change IVs. Cause I actually want lower ATK IVs in a lot of Pokemons

The big thing for me also was xl candy exchange rates. You can’t compete in master league if you are a ftp that doesn’t grind like crazy. It’s just way too much to get cl candy for legendary pokemon when you could Max out at Lvl 40 all your pokemon before the lvl jump.
I'm right there with you for shinies and raiding. With them nerfing that portion of the game, my time in the game is nearly nonexistent.

We need more things to do for pvp! Like the end game is boring asf…
What about pikachu libre? Only legends can get him, also not everyone can get zygarde.

I gave up. I'm sitting at 77 energy after nearly a year of actually trying.
so right. 😅not even thinking about routes unless i’m working on a best buddy.
Yeah the mythical system sucks, you pay money and most likely get shit IVs and have no motivation to power them up 😅
Niantic needs to reward people more for their efforts and money
Here’s a list of things I would like.
tasks that can be toggled from basic to expert? Make the tasks harder get better rewards.
More medals
Stats!
Make something like "if you catch 500 wooloo, the 501 will be a guarantee shiny" in that way people can try to complete their shiny dex and that becomes something attainable as well
The game has no goals and nothing to aim to at the moment
Niantic created the circumstances we are all plying in.
no you guys being lazy fcks and anti social to heck is causing the issue.
Dope vid Count. You're pretty much spot on. I wish Niantic would implement some of your gameplay ideas. They're usually pretty solid.
1) Catch a Pokemon
2) Open and send gifts
3) Mega evolve Pokemon
4) Interact with buddies
5) Spin a Pokestop
6) Complete a research task
7) Use the daily Incense
8) Complete routes (0/3) and collect Zygarde cells (0/3)
9) Spin a gym to collect a daily raid pass
10) Complete a raid
11) Collect a maximum amount of MP from Power Spots
12) Complete Max Battles until all MP is depleted
13) Put a Pokemon in a gym for PokeCoins
14) Collect gifts for the next day
15) Collect 100 Pokemon on alt account to trade later
16) Trade 100 Pokemon for XL candy
17) Enter/Check status of Showcases if available (0/3)
18) Clear inventory
19) Clear Pokemon storage
20) Add a nickname "online" to people that are online
21) Do GBL battles?
22) Use Pokemon Go Plus + to track sleep
I'm waiting for a breeding system, that would make the IV situation easier, and for legendaries simply bring them back to the box and add occassionally them in other features like buddy adventure finding X.
Agree with you completely Count, they dont reward at all with people that grind, they actually stop people from grinding with their mechanisms
How INSANE is it that they still haven't fixed the Go++ issue where we can't auto catch while our phones in our pocket
At least they did address it on X and are working on it, but God damn how fucking long does it have to take?
It's been like 2 weeks, including the entirety of the 2x stardust event
I hate them so much 🤣
I do agree that Niantic should have ways, especially for long term players, to focus on IVs.
The game constantly is contradicting itself
For example,
"Get out there and explore and meet people" But you stay home to do PvP.
What bothers me are these Sunday events that last 3 hours or so while I am at work and can’t play so I miss out on every one of them.
Better bonuses for longer and stacking routes - coins, remote passes. This would really help rural players with few pokestops, players and gyms
7:12 Talking about the pokedex, who asked for the different versions of the dex: shiny, 3 star, shadow, purified ... who wanted those?
In saying that, I've also got 129 Zygarde Cells, as my Zygarde is pretty crap, so I haven't wasted them on it
Agreed , We buy so many Raid passes to get one shiny and sometimes the game is so rigged you fail to get a Shiny even after 70 raids.
I swear I watched a video by you literal days ago about how awesome and exciting the new stuff coming out is.
As a person who likes exploration and never touches pvp the game still feels worse
More pokemon with lower catch rates mean if I am walking my dog and want to pause to catch something, its multiple great throws through the attack animations. I’d rather just keep walking. And if I use go++ to just deal with all the lil guys but see a Galarian bird/random evolved form pop up, I sometimes cant click on it fast enough to beat the ranger from throwing a pokeball at it
Even routes that have very clear paths (on a sidewalk around a park), if my phone’s gps messes up and I’m not actively looking at it, I can’t finish the route because I missed a random 30m stretch in the middle.
I completely forgot about the rout system till about a month a go. They should have all pokemon cought on routs with a higher iv floor
I caught a hundo regular scorbunny, now all of a sudden that’s the next batch of dynamax raids? Le sigh
Why is it bad to have both a regular and a Dynamax one? I see no problem here
@@speedonthis if you don’t see a problem then I can’t convince you of the one that I see
@@speedonthisFor me, the problem is that Niantic wants more money from the pay to win players.
I wish they listened fr, so many good points made: Zygrade & routes, remote raid, playing daily feeling like a chore now…
I can say tho that 5/5/5 iv floor is crazy count lmaooo
