Even BoyBoy, who doesn't do similar content has gotten threats for just doing a surface level look at shady casino practices. Citizen reporters don't get enough attention.
TH-cam has given us an unprecedented platform. As a history buff, I was shocked how much bs we are fed by schools and media when I started following amateur historians, who go out of their way to study primary sources. (It takes a while to separate the bs tubers from the serious factual ones though)
I found FriendlyJordies through my interests. Serious amateurs tend to follow quality creators. When you find a gem like his channel, it's always good to check who they are themselves following.

Gets workers to accept multiple years of $1000 a year pay increase, well below inflation, to get the 'budget back under control.' Effectively cutting pay for 4 years... and then during high inflation offering 2.75%... 5% below inflation. Effectively meaning government workers lost $10k a year since McGowan got in. Two of these years were while running a surplus. Refuses to allow good faith negotiations with unions.
Backs the use of union busting powers, fining the nurses union $350k including a personal fine of $10k for the head of the union for daring to exercise their right to strike. These were powers labor was against when they were created. (Many other unions asked permission, but accepted they weren't given permission to strike... nurses gave the finger unlike my pussy teacher's union)
Treasurer Ben Wyatt joined the board of Woodside and Rio Tinto.
McGowan was too tired to be premier, but accepted a job with BHP.
Remember how Rio Tinto destroyed 46,000 years of Aboriginal history? Or how a ton of decisions went in favour of these three mining giants? Such as gas approvals, blocking of other mining projects...
McGowan in opposition was very much for helping kids with FASD, but when in power said kids in Banksia were 'terrorists' who just used it as an excuse. Under McGowan's watch a foster child I used to care for attempted to take his own life, twice, in Banksia and instead of getting help was placed in solitary confinement again. (This made the paper as a small article) McGowan was ok sending kids to adult prison where self harming has increased dramatically. Banksia has got so bad under McGowan the judges are saying the government is breaking the law and are often refusing to send kids there. There are court orders to change things at Banksia which weren't done... effectively breaching the law.
Child protection worker found a child was being sexually abused by another child in a group home. She tried to do something about it and was threatened with prison time and her life destroyed. Her crime... making the government look bad. (Look up 'macie group home'... the journalist who did the story has since been told not to pursue the story any more.... I worked at the group home. The worker is a hero)
Lol... The police minister t released a map of every location of every firearm in WA. They said you couldn't get the location from it but.... You could. Now every criminal can find a house with a gun if they want one.
Notice how only one of these stories is something Sky News would pick up?
