That can't happen, they are stuck in inferno because remember in 2 Jeanne had 1 day to be rescued? It seems it has passed more than that in the last cutscene.
I think that bayonetta 4 will have cereza in it. As 3 has shown the cereza's are from alternative universes and unfortunately this one is now dead. So bayonetta 4 will have another cereza in it and viola will probably get another game (perhaps spinoff where she has to rescue her parents).
I’m tired of this recent trend of passing the torch while killing off the old guard, so I really hope they don’t keep the original cereza dead for a stupid reason like replacing her in only the third game.
Bayonetta 3 ending was to remind the tragedy and beauty of the bloodline. Omg This is literally what I was recently thinking about! It will be so great to see Bayonetta reincarnated as a demon fighting along side her past self's daughter.
Thank god the 4th bayonetta game is a continuation of this game and we get the real bayonetta back. The daughter most likely has to go save her parents.
So many people playing favorites for a Bayonetta that was an entirely different one. Not to mention the multiverse being restored, so there could always be a next Bayonetta. And honestly I wouldn't mind Viola as a different take. Yeah she is clumsy but it's thanks to her warning and help that this Cereza managed to put an end to Sigurd. Let's just give the girl a chance to prove herself next game.
I dont mind, but it should be noted Bayonetta (Cereza) isnt the same one we know. Its a alternate universe Bayonetta. So the Cereza we know is alive, but I will gladly support Viola being included. She’s truly a mix between Bayonetta and Luka.
By moving forward with a stupid and undisciplined teenager who failed to prevent history from repeating itself? By letting go of Cereza, Luka, and Jeanne? I highly doubt it. I refuse to be guilt tripped into buying Bayonetta 4 anytime in the future, nor will I be taunted by Viola defenders like you for turning my back on Bayonetta 3 after that God-awful ending. And unless you have a good excuse to convince me to renew my love for the Bayonetta franchise and thus accept Viola otherwise, my answer is no! If I want to be cold, distant, and harsh towards Viola for her failures and lack of discipline, so be it!
@@richards.monroe8668 You're not being guilt tripped, if you don't wanna buy the next installment, you don't have to. But don't go guilt tripping others from wanting to support Viola, that'd just make you a hypocrite who wants to ruin it for others. Don't buy it, and don't bother others about it.
I hated this ending. Bayo never had a good flushed out story but it was interesting enough. This however was offensively bad story telling. Out of nowhere, luka has a new form, bayo just happens to have a kid from a different dimension and the timelines of all bayonettas is erased. Meaning that playing any bayo game is a literal waste of time because none of what you accomplished as the player matters since all bayos no longer exist. I don't give a shxt what happens to viola, this was a terrible way to pass the torch with so much unestablished lore that just got erased.
I understand the creator having roots in the Devil may cry series but didn't they really have to try and follow DMC 5 by killing of Cereza and Jeanne like they did with Dante and Vergil? Nero is actually a plausible choice but Viola's character building wasn't exactly there as much as Nero's. Here's hoping they make a convincing story for Bayonetta 4.
@@Shadesriot3000 because Dante and Vergil are half-human and half-demon, thanks to the union of Sparda (a demon from the Demon World) and Eva (a human woman). Nero, on the other hand, is one-quarter demon, but three-quarters human, thanks to an affair between Vergil and a human woman some time before the events of Devil May Cry 3.
@@richards.monroe8668 dante awakening demon sword dante made him full demon, and surpassing his father. Vergil seems to of come upon it as well in a diffrent method then dante did. i also believe nero only bested his father because he was exhausted from fighting dante and everything else that occured
Dante and Vergil are not killed off. They've both been "trapped" in the Underworld and came out alive before, and that was without Sin Devil Trigger at their disposal or each other watching their back. They can EASILY come back for a DMC 6, even with Nero set up nicely as the future lead. So what this game tried to do with Viola, DMC 5 actually did right.
I think the ending of Bayonetta 3 isn’t that bad, the plot twist could’ve been done better. Actually, it shouldn’t focus on the BayoLuka aspect, instead focusing on the “Brave Cereza” to concrete the theory and it could be more appealing to the audience.
@@YurimoHikashi the bayonetta that you play as for most of 3 dies, the other two from the first two games returned to their universes and are still alive
Does it seem odd that Bayonetta(Cereza) and Luka dragged got dragged to hell, but in the end credits scene she's dancing with the other 'dead' Bayonetta's? 🥲😉
2:15 this is badass. Never played any Bayonetta game, only knew a little. But didnt expect she really ends up with him 😊 I honestly like the guy, glad that he is not just a side character.
I was thinking the same exact thing. At least by the end of dmc4 nero proved to being a worthy successor. Viola on the other hand feels like some woketard's self insert. Bad bad BAD writing team. Tbh Bayonetta 1,2 had confusing but beautiful stories. This one is a huge mess, specially at the end, where so many thing don’t makes sense at all. What a shame
I feel like the game's writing was decent, but the end dropped the ball in my opinion. While I do like how they looped back to the Records of Time tutorial fight, and the part where the Bayonettas from from the first two games was hype as hell, after that portion is the moment where the story drops that ball in my opinion. You go from switching to Bayonetta 1's Cereza to 3's Cereza with the other two being "absorbed", to that concept being dropped when Luka comes in, and then Cereza gets merked and dragged off to Inferno with Luka. I was also fairly confused with the whole Arch-Eve and Arch-Adam stuff. Bayonetta being targeted by Singularity because she's basically the most powerful being in that universe besides entities like Jubileus or Queen Sheba makes sense, Luka being a werewolf is badass as hell, and the two getting together basically being fate is understandable, but having there be a Dark Eve and Dark Adam basically being a negative conglomerate of the hearts of Cereza and Luka variants respectively had me thinking that Xehanort was gonna be a secret boss, with how blatantly the story had copied Kindom Heart's homework.
bayo 3 is pretty good (my fav game of 2022) . They send her off with a bang. it was a wild ride. (I agree there are some holes but overall it was pretty fun). At least didn't end up as Halo 5
I simply suck at parrying, and that's my only issue with her play style. Moving the binding from ZR to R was somewhat weird during her levels too. Although, changing her separate block and dodge buttons to a combined button that acts as a block when you time it correctly and acts a simple dodge if you time it incorrectly. I also feel like her darts could be a bit stronger in future titles. Other than that, she plays pretty well in my opinion.
The game was fine for the most part but no just no that ending is way too similar to DMC V which in my opinion was done way better. That being said both DMC and Bayonetta have established ways out of their respective underworlds. If and when we get Bayonetta 4 they better do something about this
This going right up there with Mass Effect 3, Mafia 3 and Kingdom Hearts 3 as a good game on paper that somehow feels like the most bitter disappointment
@@mikesamillion27 Honestly, I can understand the direction that the franchise wants to go in. I think the Viola gameplay shakes things up in a decent way, and given that Cheshire is factually a good boy, not having him in a future installment would just be a waste. I don't know what sort of enemies and plot a fourth game could go with, however, given the fact that we've had enemies and stories based on all three realms of the Trinity of Realities. That said, I do obviously hope that Cereza comes back somehow in a future installment alongside Viola. It's not required given the shift to focus on Viola's story going forward, but it would definitely be cool to see.
@@icyclaws4022 I hope so, I'm keeping my fingers cross. Either way, Cereza and Jeanne will someday because I doubt this is the end of them. Remember Jeanne's One of a kind reference in the first game to Cereza. She and Jeanne do not go down that easily.
I thought it was a pretty good final fight, especially with the other bayos showing up. As soon as she summoned Gomorrah I should have knew things were going to take a bad turn. (I do have a bias for Phantom though, my favourite demon next to Baal.) xD Like half the time it's a detriment to Bayonetta. Still thought it was an alright ending with Cereza and Luka, especially with Jeanne gone too but I want her back. Especially since I'm not keen on playing Viola in another game, her play style was no where near as fun as Bayos for me in this one. Cheshire was good though. Also side thing, not sure on how Luka got his dimensional werewolf form, might be something to do with the elf version of luka but I am not sure. Might have not been paying attention or it wasn't explained.
Listen I understand that we all want sexy tall lady with guns on all 4 limbs, but maybe at least Jeanne and Luka will come back. Rodin seems to have an ability to talk to him from the dead. Jeanne has a tendency to kinda come back and she didn’t die like a witch does, and possibly the next game would be about them trying to bring viola’s parents back. Like idk Enzo comes up to viola and is like “hey there might be a way to get them back” and it is possible to bring at least a witch back (though it would be long after the mark of the time to bring someone back), plus I think they got a decent base for viola as a character, of course they could’ve given some flash backs for her so we have any emotional attachment. I do think if they ever make an official main line bayo game with viola as the main character, it would centered around trying to figure out her roots and trying to make her heritage connect to her, you saw how those glasses weren’t meant for her and yet she kept on trying to make them work, maybe the end of the plot will end up with her getting her own glasses styled and prescriptioned for herself. Anyways in the defense of viola’s character so far, she’s jumped universe to universe trying to stop sigard, like maybe she could’ve picked a couple more things but it doesn’t seem like bayonetta in any of the universes were pushing her to learn the umbra way (I do kinda like to think mother bayonetta wasn’t really trying to teach viola, because of her own experience and mothernetta likely had most of the godly issues handled until sigard), hell it kinda seemed like most were like “I got this”
This ending is the most frustrating and insulting thing I've ever played. Not even Mass Effect 3 made me this mad. No way I'll even look at Bayonetta 4 with Viola as my protagonist.
What is especially annoying is that they made her look and act like this so it wasn't obvious she was Bayonetta's daughter. What is it that she has of her mother? Height? 😂 that's about it. She takes a lot after Luka, almost everything in personality. I'm hoping when we get a sequel that she takes up more of her mom because her mom is her hero but still a bit clumsy like Luka. I think that would be cool.
@@rykaosieghart4824 Viola is going to have to put in a LOT of work to get me to see her as a worthy successor of the Bayonetta name. Cereza is elegant, graceful, confident and skilled. Right now Viola doesn't have any of these qualities, the things that make Bayonetta so much more than just a "female Dante".
Viola's next stop should be that gate to Inferno back in Bayonetta 2. She needs to save her mum and dad, and possibly her grandma, too. They should also have a resurrected Father Balder and Rodin helping out. Queen Sheba should be the final boss and Jubileus should be the final summon, as a reverse of Bayonetta 1 where Sheba was the final summon and Jubileus was the boss.
people are mainly hating on this ending because of Cereza and Luka being together, which is stupid in my opinion since 1) this is ONE VERSION of the pair, it's not like every verse has them together and B) getting so fucking riled over it is incredibly dumb, it's a very sweet and heartbreaking ending and carves a path for Viola. I hope people don't start hating Viola purely because of this ending. and I'm biased towards Cereza and Jeanne as a pair, but I still thought this ending was good for THIS VERSION of Cereza.
For me, it felt like their pairing was a little forced. In the past two games, Cereza and Luka have had absolutely NO chemistry, with Luka either being portrayed as a creep or his attraction being one-sided. I feel like if they’d taken more time to focus on his character and develop him better, someone worthy to be with Cereza, it would have been better received.
That ending is a giant middle finger to the fans. If Platinum really want Viola as the main lead, then make an entirely different game staring this cringey street punk trashy teenager. This is not how you hype up a new IP. The girl doesn't even look nor acted like any of her supposed parents. Hopefully since this is one of those multiverse stories, Platinum can easily walk back all the mistakes this game has caused by not having any of the events that happen be canon. I hope this was a marketing ploy to get a read on how people think of Viola before they double down and force people to accept the new Bayonetta.
Honestly I feel like a lot of what they brought with viola didn’t fit w the vibe of bayonetta games. Her music is good, but it doesn’t really fit in w all other tracks. Her looks is just off and yeah i dont know. She felt out of place a lot of the time. @@RIELSG difference is, nero immediately fit into the dmc games. While he wasn’t super compelling in 4, he still fit well in the universe. Viola feels like she doesn’t
Okay this is my honest opinìon on the game it's freaking awsome it just some stuff in it didn't make sense like why was luka able to turn into strider why the three bayonetta's didn't just summon omne and finish off singularity alot of stuff and viola i like her she a good character funny to but i think they took it to far by making her mc i'm not against the idea it's just how they came on with it viola literally just came into the picture we haven't gotten use to her like how we did with cereza also even if they did make her mc both cereza, jeanne nor luka had to die they could've still give them roles for future games having viola as a new mc and the of the main cast are now gone is gonna be hard to get use to for future series
I don’t think Bayo and Luka died died cuz Rodin steals mentions Luka. Bayo being that powerful might give her certain benefits in Inferno especially how she got out to train Viola.

I like to think if they ever make a bayonetta 4 itll be about Rodin saving bayonettas soul (he might still be alive when he follows bayonetta to hell and can save her) and probably other half the game be like Viola earning her witch title Or they got sick of making bayonetta games and wanted to teach us a lesson that everything in life comes to an end one day even bayonetta so therell be no more bayonetta games (creator left as well anyway i think)
Because Sega and Kamiya don't take this series seriously. Nero sucked in 4 and redeemed himself in 5, it was a great payoff. Viola literally had no reason to exist in this game.
A story like Bayonetta was alright back in 2010- 2014. Now it feels so off The place. It's like that movie hot shots; it was great in The 80's and 90's but now on The 2020s that kinda comedy feels way off. The writting team tried to give it The same feel, but that feel.doesnt work anymore
Viola's punk riot girl look is probably to try and red herring us from that she's Bayonetta and Luka's kid, lol. I like her but because I'm a BayoxLuka shipper and girl is totally a chip off the Luka block 😆 And kinda sweet that she's wearing Luka 1's scarf and Brave Cereza's glasses at the end. Anyone noticed Rodin saying 'I'm the one who has to hear it from your pops'...popS in plural?? So means there are still other Lukas (and hopefully other Bayonettas) out there and in contact with Viola??
She isn't likable enough in Bayonetta 3 to carry the franchise. She'd need a redesign or character evolution for people to care. If they make a Bayonetta 4, the first few chapters may be viola rescuing her mom from hell maybe? I think the next game will retcon this ending because of the backlash
The hate for this ending is too much lol It’s a camp game. Viola’s character is actually well written y’all just hate her bc she’s different and “quirky”. That’s her deal, next game she will be more like mummy I’m sure. But in the end, do we want the same characters always? The stories have been resolved since 2, 3 was a branching game for the series. It’s not a series suicide. It’s giving new life and I’m sure that viola will be going to rescue her parents or we’ll just get another version of them lol

Nothing wrong with that, per se! I'm interested to see what they do, but it hurts to say goodbye.

Yeees. So cute 😢😢
Well dante and vergil are still alive, though I'm curious about how they are surviving hell due to the old age and stamina

I guess Nero from devil May cry not the only one to carry the family business
I think the ending of Bayonetta 3 isn’t that bad, the plot twist could’ve been done better. Actually, it shouldn’t focus on the BayoLuka aspect, instead focusing on the “Brave Cereza” to concrete the theory and it could be more appealing to the audience.
Its alternate universe Cereza so its okay. The one we know is still there, assuming they havent been together yet or they already have in the future.

Like what?
bayo 3 is pretty good (my fav game of 2022) . They send her off with a bang. it was a wild ride. (I agree there are some holes but overall it was pretty fun). At least didn't end up as Halo 5
It does make sense though, bayonetta's amulet broke and thus her demon wasn't under her control anymore, plus viola will carry on her legacy
@@Monorack but she won’t have that same charm as the bayo we know and love

I still hate playing with viola her witch time Block is annoying as hell😮💨
I simply suck at parrying, and that's my only issue with her play style. Moving the binding from ZR to R was somewhat weird during her levels too. Although, changing her separate block and dodge buttons to a combined button that acts as a block when you time it correctly and acts a simple dodge if you time it incorrectly.
I also feel like her darts could be a bit stronger in future titles. Other than that, she plays pretty well in my opinion.
You can hold the block then tap it again when hit to activate witch time. it's not that bad.
I just wish she had like bat within or something like that cuz I don’t got that good timing
The funny thing is. using the MGR parry system worked well with Viola
Dam i just finished this game yesterday and it had me crying so hard i love these games
Guys, chill...
Jeanne was pulled down to hell too in B2 and rescued. So Bayonetta isnt dead. The creators wouldnt do dumb shet like that.
Something that I can't understand, how was Viola born if her parents died? 😅Can someone explain
A dimensional time portal.
I wonder what’s gonna happen in Bayonetta 4
I will be very surprised if we get a bayo 4 at this point. Introducing Viola and killing off bayonetta in this universe feels like franchise suicide…
@@mikesamillion27 I’m sure they can come up with some way to bring bayonetta back. It was just one version of her in the multiverse.
It is a real nightmare for I can say right now after watching both of them apparently killed.
I’m never buying a viola game. You’d have to pay me.
Thank you I hate this
I thought it was a pretty good final fight, especially with the other bayos showing up.

DMC5: Two brothers enter the demon world to cut down an evil blood sucking tree.
Bayonetta 3: Protagonist dies.
