Thank you. I think resistance is pretty easy to understand: just see all instances of semiotic and material resistance. A good reading of feminist resistance is theorized by Chandra Mohanty. I highly recommend her book and I also have a few videos on her book.

The term neocolonialism also needs a bit of attention here. I wonder if you could treat it in a separate video or at least in the comments section here.
farooqpirsai Yes, in my view its current usage conflates it with neoipmerialism. I often use it too, but in most cases what we mean by neocolonialism is the continuation of imperial policies even after the actual colonialism has ended. I will try to record a brief video about it. I know that Postcolonial theory is heavily inspired by Marxism, so I am curious if Lenin’s theory of imperialism is at all relevant for Postcolonial discourse.
I am not sure how much of an influence would it have on contemporary thought but his essay “Imperialism: The Latest Stage of Capitalism” is still very useful because of its insights.

Which is why I wanted to ask since Lenin’s concept of imperialism is centered around materiality (superprofits, labor aristocracy, finance capitalism, etc.) whereas the imperialism you've kindly defined more so centers around ideology. I know Althusser’s theory of ideology expands upon Lenin’s theory of imperialism and the State. So I guess my last question, if you're not too busy to answer, of course, is, in Postcolonial theory, is there a dialectic of imperialism’s materiality and ideology? Or do Lenin’s theorizations fall more so under colonialism? Or is Lenin’s imperialism just a whole other subject that's not totally concerned in Postcolonial theory? Sorry for the bombardment of questions, I come from a background in Marxism-Leninism, Materialist Feminism, and Critical Race Theory, and I’ve just recently begun studying Psychoanalysis, Phenomenology, Postcolonialism, and Existentialism. So I'm just trying to best understand Postcolonial theory better.

@@sethlee1017 I think Lenin’s thought is pretty pertinent in postcolonial theory, especially if you read Robert Young’s work. But yes, my explanation of imperialism mostly relies on Edward Said, but one could use Lenin’s take on it and then discuss it in a more nuanced materialistic method.
With respect to Israel, there is a claim that it's colonial but not imperialist because more than half are not from Europe- they're non-white from middle east and north africa. 78percent of Jews were born in Israel so where should they return to? Unlike settler colonial imperialists like the French in Algeria, Brits in South Africa (as parasitical imposters and extractors who belong somewhere else) Jews had moved to Palestine because they had no where else to live to avoid their persecution by hoping to gain a reasonable majority.
