@@margaretcollins6174 Thank you she went through hell for 5 years and God healed her. she could not walk or talk, had seizures and over 100 trips to the ER. It was bad and she is now completely healed. stood up and ran around the church and talks fine. Thank God.

I just drove back into Mi to check on family. I’ll head back to CO and the mountains soon, but not before scheduling a couple of nights camping on the shores of Lake Michigan and the dunes. A couple of weeks ago, I trekked 74 miles along the Colorado Trail and have more adventures planned. Thanks for the challenge to keep us searching for the that outdoor inspiration. ❤️

Who are these people saying summer is over? It's definitely NOT over, especially here in the deep south! We've got meat falling off the bones some days. I picked up a part time job while I'm finishing court reporting school, and decided I would get myself an inexpensive tent, camp in my backyard a few nights and just enjoy this time of year. I'm a big fan of fall camping and haven't in YEARS! So, I'm so glad to see you've made this challenge to us! I'm so inspired by you that I started getting outside and working in the garden, pacing myself since it's been years since I've done this. I looked down last night and found I've got tan lines on my feet from sandals, and my arms from the t-shirts. I have forgotten how GREAT the sun feels, catching all of that vitamin D, and how good it feels to stick my hands and feet in the freshly tilled soil. Inspired my Mom, too. She gets out with me and we've completely cleaned up our flower beds. This is certainly a year of change, awakening, and getting back to the vivacious woman I've been suppressing. Thank you, Brooke!! You sure your from Michigan??? There are only two seasons. Skeeter season and that wonderful white cold wet stuff. So grab a tennis racket. You'll need it. Michigan skeeters are annoying. So give them a headache. An as for the snow. We all love it. Just dress accordingly and enjoy. So just get outside and get happy!!! Just love you and Dave. But Da Wolf is my favorite. God bless!!

Hi Brooke this is Scott pipes down in centerline Michigan I've been following you and your videos on TH-cam we actually chatted on Facebook one time over messenger I sent you a message you answered. I've been camping out for the last 2 and 1/2 months at first I was sleeping on a lawn chair with the moving pad over me which was really comfortable it's a laid-back lawn chair and it was very comfortable but the bugs when they started coming out in the silkworm started dropping out of the trees I had to move indoors so I set up a tent and I've been in there for the last over a month and I wouldn't go in the house to save my life it's so peaceful and it's so much fresh air that it's hard to do anything else but stay outside I enjoy it and I've always done overnights by myself for 10 days at a time and the wilderness with bare minimum challenging my self
We did it!!! Thanks to you we made a conscience effort to extend our summer! We went camping a ton, hiked our guts out, swam in rivers and lakes, cooked outdoors, gardener, kayaked, went exploring, and had a grand summer when summer was supposed to be over! Even though I have high schoolers we went camping on school nights! My husband set up his office on top of a mountain and by the lake! We all had a blast! Thanks again!

Hey Brooke! We used to take our Samoyed to the groomer and had her coat blown out for the Summer. That just takes the heavy layer out. It grows back over the Fall. Keeps the double coated breeds cool. We also have cooling mats that u fill with cold water. You put a blanket over top and they lay on top. Another great invention. Just thought I'd mention these things. Love your videos!!
You probably already know this but in case you don’t… I learned on a TH-cam channel (My Self Reliance or Shawn James) the way a dog stays cool is by getting their stomachs wet. A kiddie pool with water would be perfect for her during the hot weather! She would be so much cooler! Just a friendly suggestion. I’d like to participate in your challenge however I’m allergic to smoke and a lot of environmental stuff. So being outside is something that I haven’t done since I was a young teenager. I’m also allergic to the scents of candles. I’m not able to take medication for allergies because the antihistamines dry my eyes out too much. I have a rare eye disease that causes the lining of the eyes to tear off when the eyes get too dry. So I watch camping and outdoor things vicariously through people like you. Hi Brooke and I am inspired!! I am an older woman who has always dreamed of living off grid. Since that is not an option for me, I decided on a different plan. I live on a little bit of heaven in the middlebof a very small town. Let’s say it’s a hidden gem. I have plenty of space and “wilderness “ to get outside and get happy. My partner and I bought some lake property ( 3 acres ) so we are outside every single day! The connection with fire, sky, water, and wildlife is amazing. We are in our 60’s and already feel much younger and so much more alive. We go kayaking, fishing, swimming, and dock lounging every day! There is nothing that compares to outside! ❤️

I lived off the grid for 20 years on Hawaii Island and had to return to the mainland just before the pandemic hit. Then I got stuck here with my service dog. Your girl Daisy would really benefit from a pro groomer who can reduce her coat by half for comfort (I was a groomer) These days I shave my yellow lab for summer who is also getting older and it helps her stay cool. I'd estimate the wife and I have spent at least 10 days of every two weeks cutting brush, making gardens, servicing water sources or some other outdoor activity. Good on 'ya for reminding folks to get outdoors and enjoy the good days!

My heart goes out to you concerning Maisy getting older. My cocker spaniel Scout is at that same stage. He's always traveled with us everywhere but last year we took him to the beach for the week like we have every year and it was really hard on him. We still take him with us but we let him stay in the cabin and we make allowances for his age. He's been a great dog and he's earned the right to be pampered and made a priority. It’s crazy I’m watching this today, I just realized how much time I spend watching others live their lives. You’re so inspiring. I want to build, and live off-grid. But I am single and alone and i have my son who lives here with his dad. I was thinking about how miserable I am in this society. I don’t know how to settle this conflict. Or how to really start this kind of life alone.. idk.
We just spent a week in Breckenridge Colorado. I hiked or walked everyday. I have lost 60 pounds since last August. You inspire me to get outside everyday. As were on the trail of Cucumber Gulch last week my daughter says, Mom remember what Brooke says, get outside and get happy!

We finally got rain last night in Va. It has been so dry, I don't even dare to start my campfire grill. My mules will be coming home too this month because their rented pasture has been sold and will be getting a house built on it. I will be outdoors everyday now taking care of them. They make me so happy when they bray for breakfast in the morning!

I love August nights. The dark is back a few hours at night, (living at latitude 61,7) it is warm but not hot, the crickets are around, the wind has died down, fog put a blanket out in the field and the owls are randomly saying hello. Nothing can beat that. After that the stars finally comes out, and the northern lights are back, especially in to September. No bugs, and the smell of soil is also back.. Love it.. Best time of the year together with spring! :)

Hi Brooke, I just recently found your videos. I love them!! Your enthusiasm for everything you do is so inspiring! You have given this 62 year old new zest for getting out more and being more creative and confident! I have been having a fire in our fire pit a couple times a week for when my hubby comes home from work and we sit and have our beer and talk about our day. Loving life here in the eastern USA! Hey Brooke! We used to take our Samoyed to the groomer and had her coat blown out for the Summer. That just takes the heavy layer out. It grows back over the Fall. Keeps the double coated breeds cool. We also have cooling mats that u fill with cold water. You put a blanket over top and they lay on top. Another great invention.

You probably already know this but in case you don’t… I learned on a TH-cam channel (My Self Reliance or Shawn James) the way a dog stays cool is by getting their stomachs wet. A kiddie pool with water would be perfect for her during the hot weather! She would be so much cooler! Just a friendly suggestion.
I’d like to participate in your challenge however I’m allergic to smoke and a lot of environmental stuff. So being outside is something that I haven’t done since I was a young teenager. I’m also allergic to the scents of candles. I’m not able to take medication for allergies because the antihistamines dry my eyes out too much. I have a rare eye disease that causes the lining of the eyes to tear off when the eyes get too dry. So I watch camping and outdoor things vicariously through people like you. Hi Brooke and I am inspired!! I am an older woman who has always dreamed of living off grid. Since that is not an option for me, I decided on a different plan. I live on a little bit of heaven in the middlebof a very small town. Let’s say it’s a hidden gem. I have plenty of space and “wilderness “ to get outside and get happy. My partner and I bought some lake property ( 3 acres ) so we are outside every single day! The connection with fire, sky, water, and wildlife is amazing. We are in our 60’s and already feel much younger and so much more alive. We go kayaking, fishing, swimming, and dock lounging every day! There is nothing that compares to outside! ❤️

It's been extremely hot here in the PNW and all the fires near me have kept me from camping but daily I hike with my dog and swim in the river. Thanks for inspiring people to get outside. I lived off the grid for 20 years on Hawaii Island and had to return to the mainland just before the pandemic hit. Then I got stuck here with my service dog. Your girl Daisy would really benefit from a pro groomer who can reduce her coat by half for comfort (I was a groomer) These days I shave my yellow lab for summer who is also getting older and it helps her stay cool. My heart goes out to you concerning Maisy getting older. My cocker spaniel Scout is at that same stage. He's always traveled with us everywhere but last year we took him to the beach for the week like we have every year and it was really hard on him. We still take him with us but we let him stay in the cabin and we make allowances for his age. He's been a great dog and he's earned the right to be pampered and made a priority. I know you feel the same for Maisy. Thanks for your great videos. God bless you.

It’s crazy I’m watching this today, I just realized how much time I spend watching others live their lives. You’re so inspiring. I want to build, and live off-grid. But I am single and alone and i have my son who lives here with his dad. I was thinking about how miserable I am in this society. I don’t know how to settle this conflict. Or how to really start this kind of life alone.. idk.

We just spent a week in Breckenridge Colorado. I hiked or walked everyday. I have lost 60 pounds since last August. You inspire me to get outside everyday. As were on the trail of Cucumber Gulch last week my daughter says, Mom remember what Brooke says, get outside and get happy!

We finally got rain last night in Va. It has been so dry, I don't even dare to start my campfire grill.
My mules will be coming home too this month because their rented pasture has been sold and will be getting a house built on it. I will be outdoors everyday now taking care of them. They make me so happy when they bray for breakfast in the morning!

I love August nights. The dark is back a few hours at night, (living at latitude 61,7) it is warm but not hot, the crickets are around, the wind has died down, fog put a blanket out in the field and the owls are randomly saying hello. Nothing can beat that. After that the stars finally comes out, and the northern lights are back, especially in to September. No bugs, and the smell of soil is also back.. Love it.. Best time of the year together with spring! :)
