Thank you for this. Out of my entire family that I was born into, I am the only remaining Catholic. I pray for my family's salvation and for wisdom to help with this. I was feeling very lost about what to do practically to help them, and this just showed up on my suggested videos. Praise the Lord and His Providence. Thank you Father Chris. I will take this advice to heart and put it into practice.
Your situation is exactly like mine. It is so hard for me even to have my grands to say a Hail Mary. My son and partner don’t believe anymore in Heaven or hell. My granddaughter is the fan collector of Harry Potter’s items. She has them all… well and more… I pray and pray.. sometimes I feel down and discouraged.. no matter what I do they seem un changeable.

The Collective We needs to chill out ~ It’s a made up story, a set of novels, fiction for crying out loud… Good vs Evil; Good Wins, but be prepared for a few setbacks. The church I left, had a children’s story, in which a little boy was sobbing to his pastor that his mama had changed - she “painted her lips and stained her nails, and read novels sometimes instead of just the Bible…. Everytime I think of that a new expletive gets added to the string that would get me bounced flat on me bum by YT & everyone else…. This world is getting just a little weird…

I am a catechist who is part of the team that runs our RCIA program at our parish here in NZ. It has been on my heart for going on 5yrs now how much I want some kind of similar programme for existing Catholics who want to learn more and grow in their faith, and for the fallen away Catholics who are on their way out, are already out, considering out. Or always at mass but never actually present. It breaks my heart that in the RCIA we welcome brand new Catholics at the front door, all the while we have so many Catholics leaving our faith at the backdoor. So just today I decided I will start a novena prayer from tomorrow to discern God's will, and i feel he is calling me for this then to start taking the NX steps... Yet here I am clicked on 1video and this video is the very NX one that TH-cam is asking me if I want to watch next... It might be just the algorithm but gosh ....sometimes God isnt subtle huh

Father Chris I used my free will to be vaccinated. I know churches were closed to the people due to the pandemic. I do believe it gas brought people closer to Christ. I have been exposed to more religious talks including your many offerings because of the pandemic. I thank God for that. I am learning so much about my faith.
@@DivineMercy_Official I never thought I was in sin for taking the vaccine. I believe God wants us to take care of ourselves and others. I understand the Church not wanting to be closed, but the Church also had an obligation to not only spiritually care for the church family, but also do what they can to help us in times that test our physical health. As difficult as it was for all to have the churches close for Mass, I understand it and am thankful for the live streaming and all the educational offerings I never realized that were out there. It is a blessing for sure out of this terrible time we are living in now.

You always Inspire me Father Chris Alar, you are one of my most favourite people in the world to listen to and learn from. I am a catechist who is part of the team that runs our RCIA program at our parish here in NZ. It has been on my heart for going on 5yrs now how much I want some kind of similar programme for existing Catholics who want to learn more and grow in their faith, and for the fallen away Catholics who are on their way out, are already out, considering out. Or always at mass but never actually present. It breaks my heart that in the RCIA we welcome brand new Catholics at the front door, all the while we have so many Catholics leaving our faith at the backdoor. So just today I decided I will start a novena prayer from tomorrow to discern God's will, and i feel he is calling me for this then to start taking the NX steps... Yet here I am clicked on 1video and this video is the very NX one that TH-cam is asking me if I want to watch next... It might be just the algorithm but gosh ....sometimes God isnt subtle huh

@@DivineMercy_Official I never thought I was in sin for taking the vaccine. I believe God wants us to take care of ourselves and others. I understand the Church not wanting to be closed, but the Church also had an obligation to not only spiritually care for the church family, but also do what they can to help us in times that test our physical health. As difficult as it was for all to have the churches close for Mass, I understand it and am thankful for the live streaming and all the educational offerings I never realized that were out there. It is a blessing for sure out of this terrible time we are living in now.
