I like some ideas here but I wish the mod focused more on bringing things like the Matriarch, she feels more like a unique remix of bosses while a lot of the others are more like random enemies with some new VFX attached. But I also understand that their focus isn't really just make new bosses
I have only one gripe. The default game bosses do not do the same exact combo to completion every single time. That's part of what makes Morgott for example so deadly. Change the attack patterns so someone like Sigur doesn't do the same pattern but instead changes it to get a drop on the player.
I also have a gripe, but this one is definitely less of a controllable one. Most of these bosses need new music. It doesn't work as well using music from other bosses

Crucible Traitor is a cool boss, sure, but he shouldn't replace Gideon
Bro, I hate the Gideon fight because I've played this game a lot and have done many challenge runs, but you're partially right. Btw, it's a pity From never fixed the Gideon fight. It's trash on first runs and becomes annoying bs challenge on NG+7 😁

Without the Gideon change, I could easily recommend playing with Convergence over the vanilla experience even/especially for people who haven't played it before

A lot of them fit into their respective themes and give a little more depth of story to times or factions we don’t know much about. If only Shadow of the erdtree wasn’t the only DLC Miyazaki intended for elden ring. I would’ve LOVED to have a dlc of us going to the badlands that our tarnished ancestors had been banished to. Or maybe a dlc where we go into the cosmos and are forced to face an eldritch beast even an outer god. One can dream.
usually when people watch boss showcases they want to see the bosses attacks everything it can offer in a fight not to get basically cheesed like the first one
I think they can work with only existing stuff and add models/weapons from existing FromSoft games. For example, Godskin Matriarch has Queen Rennala’s body and mostly Black Flame Friede moveset from DS3 + attacks of some ER bosses.
@@poison_swamp We based Matriarch mostly off of O'Rin of the Water from Sekiro. And in the second phase, yes, she takes animations from Blackflame Friede. And as for the models thing, that is completely wrong. We are perfectly capable of creating our own models, AND animations and inserting them into the game. We have already done this several times.
These bosses look awesome, but some of them seem like a pain in the ass to fight, Shabriri’s Chosen for example. Like how is it fun to fight a boss that has constant attacks coming from that sky that have little to no warning as to where they’ll appear? Also, why do modders always make bosses that leave crap on the ground? When it only lasts at most 5 seconds it’s not so bad and it can even make the fight more interesting, but when it lasts longer the arena starts to become a mess and you become more focused on avoiding the stuff on the ground than actually fighting the boss. There’s also the problem of bosses spamming AOEs, but that’s been talked about plenty so I won’t bother. I hope this doesn’t come across as me saying the bosses suck or the modders did terrible jobs, it’s just stuff that I think if fixed/adjusted would make the fights more fun.
I really don’t like how they kill Gideon Ofnir. I get that the fandom has made him a joke, but not only is he a good boss fight, he’s one of the most significant characters in the game.

One little nit pick too. You should showcase bosses by letting the player get their ass beat a little bit. Some of these bosses had grabs and we couldn't see what their animations were.
@@dyreascension About poise: guess you mean stance breaking is too easy, but they have normal poise just like major bosses in vanilla. Godskin Matriarch has 150 poise just like Elden Beast in vanilla 😃 Some weapons are too OP in breaking stance, if I wanted I would spam weapon arts and loop them in stun lock 😂 Appreciate the feedback, I will get grabbed next time 👌🏻
Not to be rude, but it really gets on my nerves to see someone "showcase" a boss, then just use 2 different moves only to bully and poise break a boss. at that point, it's not skill. change up your moveset.

One other thing to point out, is the attention to detail on Seera. Hearing the chains rattle was cool.

Humanoid bosses don’t have hitstun and have way too low poise
