      - This is not really a speed run car and yes, putting a big block would give some extra power but, since this is a 1/10 and prefer to keep small blocks those platforms. Just my preference
      - This is just a fun vid, helping to keep the engine running strong after all these years. 😄 We all enjoy having a PB and to be able to share it with everyone, makes it take much better.

@@a2rc That’s good to hear. I’ve always been curious on top speed on one of those. Especially since I’ve read somewhere that car has hit 100mph. Which is crazy fast. 💨
No new builds yet. I have the Ntc3 which I clocked at 75mph with a 9 port.
      I also have the cts 5.0 which I’ve gotten up to 82mph with a .32 5port.
I might flip the engines I’m sure the ct5 with the novarossi 9 port should get me close to 90mph if not more. Both engines modded.
Thanks for the video and response. Hope to see more videos.

@@Bang_n_slang There have been a handful of people to have the belted RS4 go 100+. 112 or 114mph I think is the fastest run on a belted RS4 with a small block which, I agree is nuts. Now I do have to say, I’m not sure the method of capturing the speed is as accurate as using a GNSS, for example. So, I have my suspensions. Also, I have yet to see the car without a body on.
      - Mainly, the 1/10 cars get a big block out on it and/or larger tires, etc but, I kinda see that as cheating lol. Mi goal is to keep it a 1/10 if that makes sense and develop speed with it
      - Anything 50+ is quick and anything 70+ is going pretty darn fast. Reaching 90+ is pretty epic, especially for a nitro
I’m taking it 10mph at a time with the speed run car. In my opinion, there isn’t much to talk about until I have some real/fast enough numbers to discuss. At some point in the future, I will discuss the speed run car, show it, talk about its features and speeds but, for now we have a lot of other fun topics and adventures to have
Thanks again for writing back. I appreciate it 💯

As always, loving your videos and it has been pretty exciting to see the many phases of this build. Do you think there would be much to improve on the speed run with a different pipe / manifold? I need to get back to my projects and get them all cleaned up and running.

    • @a2rc
      @a2rc  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Tega ‼️
      - I appreciate the kids words 💯
Yes, there are some small things that we could work on for this chassis and engine and it is always fun to go faster but, it has never intended to be a formal Speed Run car.
      - In saying that, the header I now have on here has helped a little. I could swap out the Pipe for a Dual Chamber to help with the top end (or at least try). The engine does have some limitations, being side exhaust but, we could mod the crank, rod, play with head shimming and nitro %, etc. I think in time, I will need to find a bit longer road way to go a bit faster with this car/set-up.
Still, I very happy she is still running strong after all these years!
Would love to hear about your projects 😁

Like these pov vids. Congrats on the 60mph. The engine is running really good That ford gt40 body looks super awesome. I don't quit understand why everyone says turn it 1 hour. One hour in my book is a full turn. If you say one hour, it's probably five minutes for me. That just sounds more logical to me. But think that's only my pov lol. What do you say if you turn it (in my book)one minute ?
    Great vid again

      Hi Kings 😁
      - Making a non formal 1/10 speed run car (20+ year old and engine) go 60mph (96.5 kph) isn’t too bad. It’s a smaller but, fun achievement for this particular platform. We have a bit higher hopes for the speed run car but, time will tell 😋
      - The “hour” thing for the carb needles is just an old habit/saying. I was exposed to it from the nitro/glow enthusiast that taught me (long ago).
Feel free to call it a “click”, “hour”, “min”, “touch”, “a bit”, “1/16th”, etc lol. A lot of times I use the 1/8th, 1/4, 1/2 turn kind of thing. Explaining in that way, maybe be a bit better any way 🤷🏻‍♂️

      - On bump start models, the general answer is (it may depend on the lower chassis style/design and the box you are using) that the fly wheel can be flush or maybe no more than 5-ish mm recessed in the chassis. There is some flexibility on position (depending).
      - Bump, pull start, roto start, etc all have their place but, I much prefer to use the bump set-up if I can. Less overall weight on the car, less moving parts, less parts to fail, no hurt hands from pulling, easier priming, etc.
      - Remember, you can bump start a pull start set-up too if you want 😋 I do it often, if I have the box with me

    • @a2rc
      @a2rc  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you for the kind words and for the great questions! 💯
      - The front bearings inner shield removed before it was installed in the engine (it had its initial assembly grease/lube in it). The assembly lube later gets washed out from the engine running and then relies on the fuel for its lubrication (once washed out, it helps to lower rotational resistance)

I have the old belt drive rs4 with a cvr15 and a 2 speed transmission and mine runs a bit over 50mph 😁

WAIT ONE SECOND - HOW DO YOU DO THAT!?! You expertly parked the car up, just like I can do, but you pulled out a wrench to adjust the 2 speed!?! I want to do that! Please make a dummy's guide video for me on that subject :) Please exchange our knowledge together . . .

LoL. I love your energy ‼️
      - Everything just comes from the years of experience with these awesome cars.
I like to use the old/discontinued Red handled 2mm Bondhaus drivers for the 2 Speeds. The are slim and perfect for that job. 💯
      - I will try and help you and anyone who would like it. I glad you liked the vid and enjoy learning along the way.
When we take the Purple RS4 out again, I’ll talk a little bit more about how I adjust the speed speed, etc. I think that’s what you are looking for?
      - Unless a shorted dedicated vid on adjustments would help? Let me know your thoughts
I appreciate you and everyone for watchn’ 🩷

I love having a real aluminum exhaust pipe on my Nitro R/C's.
Those plastic ones are ugly. I have the dual chamber exhaust for my T-MAXX Classic. The plastic exhaust on the T-MAXX Classic looks so horrible that you can see how it's molded.

I agree. The plastic ones to the job but, a proper metal tune pipe can make the engine perform so much better ‼️
