Special thanks to everyone that pointed out that these were available in the USA. I did not know that and am happy to learn about things I didn't know. Sorry for the misleading information. I will try hard to not make mistakes like this.
One of the great Hondas of the eighties! I was a tech at an independent Honda shop in San Francisco in the early nineties, and there was a couple of these I wrenched on. Very fun to drive and I coveted them!
OH and those are the oem headlights. all usdm 88-91 civics had glass headlights with two single filament bulbs, instead of single bulb dual filament plastic lenses. We also never received oem clear corner lenses. but this thing is in very awesome shape!
Man that thing is CLEAN!!! Love the color too, most of the ones in the US were that ugly tan or brown. These came with AWD here in the US, very popular up north. Unfortunately they rusted like crazy with the road salt, so most of them were gone off the roads here by the early 00's, if not earlier.
My uncle had one of those when i was a kid back when it was brand new, and i know what you mean by the nice smell, i still remember almost 30 years ago XD
Sorry to say Derek, but the USA did offer the shuttle. One of our biggest markets we deal with for parts. :) Yes, they came in 4WD, if you search in the Hokkaido area.
The RT stands for, "real time". It's deceiving with RT4wd, but that stands for all wheel drive. There's no option to change it from two wheel drive to four wheels.
This is wrong, there is a lever on the trans inside the engine bay to switch to fwd only. I had one and had to put into fwd config to tow. Also the rr4wd version was a 6 speed
Hey Derek, why is it hat you might wait a long time for one of these to come through the auction? I'm guessing with the age, and specificity of it, that they are just hard to find in general so you have a better chance at one of the manufacturers dealers.
Most cars in Japan don't make it to 25 years old before they are exported or crushed. It was actually a problem in the 80s where people would abandon their cars on the side of the road because they didn't want to pay the fee to scrap them. They introduced the "recycle ticket" system to fix this. Any car over about 10 years old is much more common to be scrapped after an accident, and since cars in Japan depreciate so quickly, it has a HUGE export market.
The civic wagon did not come with one piece headlights in the USDM, JDM, or EDM market.. theyre all two piece.. those are JDM headlights.. USDM headlights are dual bulb (one bulb high, one bulb low) JDM/EDM headlights are single bulb dual beam and adjustable..

might be weird, but I find civic shuttle to be cute looking

whatttt there are AWD Civic wagons floating around here? I need to keep my eyes open.
We got them here in the US as the Civic WagoVan
Wrong, 3 trims of the wagon in the US is the DX (FWD), Wagovan (FWD), and the RT4WD. No civic wagon came AWD ONLY 4WD
Also, don’t forget the U.S. got the 1984-87 Civic Wagon (Wago-Van fwd) and 4WD versions!
My buddy just picked up his second wagon it’s awd version 6 speed ! A rarity all in its own !

Great little car. Had the 4wd model and it was a joy to drive!

kinda reminds me of my old 86 stanza wagon. wish I hadn't gotten rid of it. love wagons.
Ive wanted a stanza wagon for years
we got those in the usa. the awd transmission are really popular to convert crx and other civics to awd.

Here in the US we do have this wagon..
my brother had one of these back in the early 90s and it was stander cool car
The headlights are definitely not usdm. All us versions of the ef cars had dual bulb headlights. Those are single bulb.

It sounds exactly like the 1988 Civic (ED6?) that I looked at the other day and I noticed that noise in that particular area too.
Another beautiful Honda! Marty
That's an awesone Shuttle! How much would one like this run in CAD (im in Toronto). I have an RD1 CRV, now I want its father!!!
The purpose of that spoiler is to direct air over the rear glass so it doesn't get as dirty.
That would make a great retro daily :D
I owned a 89 Civic wagon with a 5 speed. good car.
Why do japanese domestic cars have english labels?
I´m sure that the us got that model? Seen it there before...
Throw a B16 in there and you have a killer daily! Looks to be really clean too.
you wan get them in AWD. my mom had one with AWD 5-speed with sub low torque gear. making it a 6-speed AWD. it was awesome.
Congratulations
Does it run on premium fuel?
i thought boostedboiz had a wagon?
haha YES!

I wonder seeing Shuttle of grey color.
In my childhood there was plenty of white ones.
These are so rare!
we got a wagovan rt4wd I had one
dac4353 no such thing as a rt4wd wagovan
wel he was right you do have to get them from japan,lol.91 awd 1.6 love my wagovan
if the owner wants to share how much he paid, I'd be curious ... a friend had a U.S. one and misses it.
go to the sold prices section on any auction site you should find it :)
It was a dealer sale ... not an auction.
Oh my bad (:
Wait, you can buy straight from the dealer rather than auction?
Bryce Anderson you can but they aren't cheap in some cases

Why anyone would want that, I don't know...
For something different? Better than driving something everyone else does?
ThatGuyNamedScott. C I presume it's not all that expensive either
