The fact that Alison made Harrison Ford laugh is a testament to just how funny she is. So many celebrities say that it’s hard to make Harrison Ford laugh. Obviously it’s not impossible and he’s a very happy guy but it’s supposed to be hard to make him genuinely laugh, and the fact that Alison did it so effortlessly shows how funny she is.

Love love lol love Hammond!! Such a joy to watch! The best thing about her is that she is always herself. No pretentions, no faking, just total honesty. Anybody she interviews is always left in stitches of laughter. She manages to get them to have as much fun with the interview as she does, which allows us, as viewers and fans, see the human side of famous people. You can't teach that, you either have the knack of not, and Alison Hammond is the Queen when it comes to this!!!

@@andrewjones575 Ummmm..... That is pretty much her job. She presents on a show that most people watch mainly for the people who host it. To get the most viewers on daytime tv you need to have presenters with big personalities, somebody that the viewers feel that they can relate to, or laugh with (or at). The segments they present about famous people are really of fairly short duration, so while the "hook" may be a famous actor or musician, the real draw is "What is the interviewer going to do today?" How different will their interview be to all the other ones you see about the same person, etc. So the bigger the personality of the interviewer, the bigger the draw. After all, it is called " The Entertainment Industry" for a reason, and that means tv as well as films. Besides, if she gets annoying, you can always just switch off or change the channel. No harm, no foul.

My favorite moment is when she was told that you're supposed to say TRICK OR TREAT and not "treacle treat" during Halloween. The way she was so astonished but also was so good- natured about it never fails to make me laugh.

I'm from America upstate New York and I've never heard of her. However after watching this I love her oh my God I wish her and I were friends we could get in so much trouble together.
Love watching Allison on TV! My favourite moment was when she tried to get Harry and Meghan’s attention. I shouted out loud watching it when she said “congratulations from this morning” to Meghan who replied with a lovely “thank you”. Allison’s utter joy after Meghan acknowledged her was tv gold!
Definitely the right technique with Ford who is typically curmudgeonly in interviews.

I was once playing hit with my cousins out the front when a woman went past crying. I looked and it was Alison hammond. I said what’s a matter and she said she didn’t want to talk about it. So I asked if she wanted to got Beaumont park and feed the squirrels. She said why not. When we were up there she talked about her time in big brother and her pet cat jolly when she was growing up. She really cheered up then left. She was so nice. Stank of booze xx

I didn’t mean any bad vibes.. just you would bring joy into our sometimes mundane lives, the news is always heart breaking around the world and we have to have knowledge of that but we have to see the joy in the world and Alison gives the happiness. We also need to celebrate life. I had long hair ! Now I’m bald going through chemo and radium . I watch over again Alison because she makes me feel happy when times are tough! She’s a complete natural . Best of the lot !
