Makes me womder WHAT exactly that Space Station was or just how WELL EQUIPPED IT WAS for it to be repurposed by the Raptures as their Main Production Facility that then allows their side to dump an amount of Raptures so high Abe's algo could only use the Infinity Symbol. So Abe's last ditch plan in case they find themselves unable to defeat the Queen for good as to just server the Connecting Points of the Station with the Lift had merit.

Also the fact that there's a conspiracy theory within the game that the 3 manufacturers are the ones who created the rapture
When it read: failed tale end, I legit cried those single words really hurt more than a thousand insults seeing Abe slowly lose herself and than the ark doing what they did to her, even if I know grave is now ok I can’t help but feel bad for how long she has been wondering around waiting for a day that could have never come about. Hopefully , we will truly reach that happy ending this time.
We already reunited both, Grave got repaired not only to properly speak but also to properly fight and now both her and Cinderella can finally fulfill their happy ending... as long as they also find their old squadmates. I'd say we're already helping them build their happy ending they deserve... but the fact we got them together at last is perhaps the best achievement ever.
@ i mean yes but the war ain’t over we don’t know what the future holds and how shift up is setting up pieces, I mean also including the other pieces of the story outside of Cinderella and grave, sure for now we got a happy situation but we don’t really know what the future holds and what curve ball there might be, but it’s still sad thinking how much time grave was on her own and how much she lost majority of her own memory, treated like trash by the ark and in general the fact that it took so much time, I am not sad cause I I think there was a bad ending, but the end tittle of the event, failed tale, isn’t exacly wrong even if Cinderella managed to give humanity a chance, the war is still in full swing and most of the second fairy tale generation are missing in action and at the point of the event end, sure we got a victory but it was quite the costly one especcialy for Cinderella and grave, in general the fairy tale second generation was ment to end the war and they failed sure they got us a victory but it was still a failure to reach what their tale was supposed to be and it’s sad especcialy and for now the failed tale end tittle fits unfortunately at the point we leave the story it was indeed a fail but that’s why the theme of we are going to rewrite this story is a theme.

This is far and away the best Hard epilogue we've gotten in the game so far. What a treat! A beautiful ending befitting a beautiful girl and her fairy godmother. The chapter closes, and another opens.

This is so sad of how Abe became Grave…at the very least, amidst the memory loss and tragedy, she manages to rebuilt it, both her precious Nikke Cinderella and especially herself…in the most epic way possible QvQ
12:32 ngl, I'm in tears realizing that numbers like Abe. Absolutely proud of Abe, Cinderella, Siren, Hansel and Gretel. The BGM and Failed Tale End makes it harder to hold my tears man. Jeebus. I know i asked sad story for this event, shift up actually did it. Probably not as sad as OverZone which the whole event is all bitter. Here, after endless suffer that Cinderella and Abe must go through, we got a little bit of sweet ending at least. Bravo shift up, they deliver great anniversary event yet again as usual.

Shoutouts for our CHAD bro Oswald, who succesfully managed to erase every data related to Goddess Squad and Old Tales Squad, protecting them ultimately. In fact, he and Abe/Grave were our true heroes of this story. The MVPs, they actually deserved better. As Abe herself says, I hope, this time, along with Counters, we can bring a happy end to this dreadful story once and for all.
The only bad thing is that as Oswald deleted their information there was no way for anyone to confirm Abe story so she was experimented which as her bond story showed made her life so much harder As not only she began to forget her memories but also forgot how to even do basic math, needing to relearn everything from scratch

Oswald made a good decision but as human as he is, he didn't see everything. He just wanted 2nd Gen Grimm Models to not be executed on the spot, being experimented was not on his mind at that time. It was during Overzone that he discovered that CG wanted to experiment on the Goddess Squad hence locking them out.

Remember what Grave in the main story mentioned that Cinderella's body was stolen once by Nihilister by the time she was wandering into the surface while she's fixing her... Although she managed to take her back and protect her inside the Crystal Region until now, it surprises me the fact they didn't deepen that part of their lore yet during Old Tales epilogue. I don't know how or what kind of origin Nihilister had, but I'm pretty sure that Red Shoes is somewhat involved in it, maybe indirectly.

While I do know there are humans in the Ark whose lives are worth it... it's because of people like those researchers that I sometimes think Crow did nothing wrong... and that's saying a lot.
Cinderella stopped the production of Rapture. Abe said the infinity number of Raptures was because Raptures were produced at a faster rate than they were killed. Abe saw some Nikke on the surface, but it doesnt seem like there was a lot of missions on the surface so it has to be because Raptures arent produced anymore. Maybe thats why they're trying to find another Queen, to produce Raptures again. But if Marian was a random Nikke, they could have taken any Nikke and turned her into a Queen, so Marian must be special. I think shes related in some way to the Queen and Liliweiss, because she also seems to be related to the Queen in some way. If Queen is Eve (apparently its an AI on the space station) then shes definitely related to Lilith, but idk about Marian. And Queen is on the surface too, the space station fell, it didnt went to space, it physically doesnt make sense. And it wasnt orbiting too. It was just attached to the Lift. I think everyone no one died because of the fall if Abe didnt die lol I think Queen's attack didnt hurt anyone too because if you look at Cinderella, she isnt hurt when shes falling. I think her body and 2nd Gen Grimm models are much more resistant than the space station walls (probably also true for the Queen so she survived the fall) Oh and also Nihilister tried to take Anachiro from Abe, thats probably why theres a volcano in the map and why "Challenge" is at this place (damn they really cookred with this event). I dont know why Nihilister did that though. Now that I think about it, Behemoth did the same, she was interested in Anachiro. Maybe they just want her to be a Heretic again and become stronger
Not just the Nikke. The Four Beasts too. Nihilister and Indivilia deserved everything that happened to them, but Behemoth and Leviathan didn't even bother the humans. Granted, they were looking for Anachiro, but that was to stand against the "Offsprings".
This story has been amazing. Cinderella is my favorite nikke now. I loved her tragic story and how she's getting her chance at rewriting her tainted story. Her and Abe deserve that chance. And I'm so glad Abe got to see the scoreboard finally show a finite number. It shows Cinderella succeeded in their plan B of cutting off the rapture factory in the space station. And for them, that's probably all they needed to regain even the slightest slimmer of hope. It may have been a century since then, but now with our boy Commander in the scene, things are only gonna get better, I hope.
man grave and cinderella suffer way too much you know that its too much for even her when she loses composure and begins to cry. cause even until dorothy still has 3 other members of the goddess squad who care about her. for so many years, grave was alone and lost everyone while roaming the surface alone as a human. grave needs as much of a hug as cindy. not to mention also, the commander being the first and only human that she trusts says alot. because everything humans did, everything arks done, dorothy and graves hate/distrust is justified. old tales, they are the absolute unsung heroes.. theyre the only reason raptures arent infinite. the entire story of nikke.. after humans reclaim the surface, im predicting a civil war between humans and nikkes. because people are greedy and stupid. the moment humanity achieves its goal, theyll have no use for nikkes. theyll either dispose of them, or use them as weapons of mass destruction against each other the moment countries begin reforming. all of this with the commander in the center of the conflict. skk being a human, the savior of humanity, and savior of nikkes. itd be a very conflicted choice for skk
This was a sad yet hopeful end to this tale One of the most touching yet tragic things I found out by searching the map for Grave memories is that she went so far to repair Cinderella that she took parts from herself just so she could continue repairing Cinderella Idk I found that detail sad but also amazing the level of dedication she has to her is unparalleled
Oswald removing the entry to the Grimms Model in the database is a double edged sword. On one hand, it removed the failure and casualties caused by the 2nd generations, at the same time, the bad side is at 7:40.
You know, the saddest part about this to me isn't Abe/Grave or Cinderella, its the researchers. Even a few years ago, before Humanity had fully integrated into the Ark, they were still trying to carry on the fight and reclaim the Earth. the scientist experimenting on Cinderella, love him or hate him, and the officer that pressured him, were still very focused on avenging the fallen and protecting the people... so what happened... well, it's simple... they lost... The Ark was a last ditch effort to salvage as much of humanity as possible and bunker down from the Rapture, it was never the original goal, nor was it preferable to anyone in any way. We may rag on the people of the Ark, but when you actually look at it from their perspective... yeah, no wonder they're like this. In just a few years, their lives were uprooted by an alien threat that decimated nations and cultures that took over a millennium to form. Millions, if not billions of lives were lost, and for what? What have they gained. The process of arriving at the Ark likely costed even more lives due to all the confusion and chaos from so many different people, it likely took years just to get a semblance of order there while handling the war of the surface. Nobody wanted to be there, they wanted to go back up, to raise their children under a real sun, with real cities, parks and everything, but they couldn't. They had pinned their hopes on the Goddess Squad... and the Goddesses failed. There was no way for most of the people to have a normal life again, and those who had power and influence did whatever they could to ensure their families had stability and normality, even if it meant throwing others under the bus, and I can't blame them. If such a situation happened to me, I'd do anything to ensure that myself and those I loved were able to live as comfortably as possible, to hell with anyone else. But in the end, it didn't matter, because whether they were rich or poor, everyone in the Ark knew the truth. This wasn't a safe haven, it was a jail. Not paradise, but purgatory. Humanity had tried, and they had lost. This was it... this was life now... there was no going back... Those researchers probably had lives once on the surface, loved ones, hopes and dreams, but they, more than anyone, had to contend with the fact that there was no going back. Maybe they had hope before, but it was long gone now, they'd swallowed the bitter pill for years since then, and had no choice but to accept it. No wonder they're so callous and unemotional with Abe, there wasn't anything in her that sparked hope. Whatever data was found was nothing but a grim reminder to them that they'd lost. Well then, who gives a shit anyway, come on boys, let's go get lunch, maybe we can get something better tomorrow. There's no hope anymore in the Ark, the people had long learned that it was best to just put their heads down, and walk through life, to at least believe in the semblance of normalcy. The little ones, with innocent hearts and eyes, still had hope, but that hope was only used by the CG to feed inexperienced Nikke and Commanders to a grinder that left them either dead or broken. That's why the Ark is the way it is, why so many are assholes, why it seems to be such a terrible place. It's a world without hope, without real joy, breaking generation after generation down until they're barely human, just doing whatever they can to get through the day. Despair has been written into their lives, and they've long accepted it. They had no choice. That's why the Commander can't give up on the Ark, why he has to save it, to rule it even. He needs to remind them that they can win now, that its not over. A real sky, real food, real lives, they're just above! Now's our chance, so let's take it!!! Of course, it remains to be seen whether the Commander really is the true savior... or just another tool of the CG...

I don’t understand why they call it Failed Tale Ending. Looks to me they won. Before the situation was hopeless as the Raptures were infinite but now…Snow White has the right approach. Every Rapture destroyed is a small step towards reclaiming the surface.
Poor Abe she suffered a lot since her crash and during 17 years... : Found her beloved daughter Cindy, Repair her, Defense her, She wanted help from the Nikkes but she was kidnap by mad scientist, Guinea Pig torture, Rejected on the surface, Rejoined her cindy, and to finish take a rest with her native born daughter place. The both deserve the biggest hugs for this second anniversary.

Hey y'all, There are around 5 memories of Abe/graves in the map after completing the Hard mode. Just look around for "Windy spots" around the map, It will show flashbacks of Abe/Graves memories. Just found all of them. (Shift up really did all of the details and it's awesome)

Now for the future story, commander have raptures as main enemies. While its still neutral, doro and eden may became enemy to commander if she know hw has vapaus in his body or perhaps oswald offspring. And then we have sixo who may make try to jailbreak. And the the last is Ark itself. 2 enemies and 2 potential enemies. Commander's life stuck right now.

Good catch. Alice did say that there were "sleeping princesses". Although its hard to say, most of the one they put in those are ones who had their brains detached (but found it). And the first Nikkes to come out were like decades later after the closure. Then again, they are up north, their brains could've frozen fresh.
Ark people once again proving why they aren't worth saving. They treated her like a machine. With no consciousness. They stripped her down, ripped her apart, and didn't even have the fucking courtesy of making she they didn't fucking break anything. I understand why the Heretics have their own personalities at this point outside of Cinderella. Not all corruption involves those unwilling. Some people actually might have surpressed desires to tear humanity apart for how they treated them. I don't even understand how someone's empathy can just disappear like this. If it looks like a human, talks like a human, chances are it's just a FUCKING HUMAN. I hate the word Nikke. Feels like less and less a badge of honor and more like an artificial creation of another servant race, reminds me of the miner caste from Transformers One.

That's partly because they are afraid for their very lives and have only the Central Government as their sworn protectors. There is that impetus for obeying everything the leadership says no matter how absurd it may be. Coupled with the erasure of information and the deliberate corruption and withholding thereof. Humans in the Ark would only see the Grimms models and Goddess Squad as being nothing more than any other unit of Nikkes. Thus to the Ark's people, Nikkes are nothing more than war machines who are expendable: just as the propaganda likely declares them to be.
Yeah and that's why i HATE the ark, it gives me pain to play as the good guy that is doing everything to save it, i would abandon it and go to Eden or with Crown/Marian if i could.

The only thing that bothers me is that in the end Abe stoped searching for the rest of the girls from the second generation, they could be still alive but Abe didnt search for them only Cinderella, but from there, well, there was only pain in the event.
I guess Abe didn't stop looking for the rest of Old Tales Squad. Even in 1 of the Fog from Abe's Memory, it's already been mentioned that Abe must facing with Nihilister. So Abe focused on protecting Cinderella from Nihilister first, before she can continue her search for another Old Tales members. Blame Nihilister for that. Luckily, now Nihilister is already out from the surface, with Commander's help. And of course, after Nihilister, she must facing with Behemoth. But yeah, at least now Behemoth is gone too (for a while), so maybe, now is the time to looking for another Old Tales members.
I know this is VERY VERY unlikely, but what if Cinderella did enough damage to the queen that she's either dead or dying and that the raptures are actually in the midst of a succession struggle and the reason humanity is not aware was because the Old Tales mission was classified and scrubbed.

If you approach the Fog in the event map it will show more fragments of Grave's Memory while fixing Cinderella.
The fact that Abe went up against Nihilister and LIVED speaks volumes about her resolved.

I know i asked sad story for this event, shift up actually did it. Probably not as sad as OverZone which the whole event is all bitter. Here, after endless suffer that Cinderella and Abe must go through, we got a little bit of sweet ending at least. Bravo shift up, they deliver great anniversary event yet again as usual.

Remember what Grave in the main story mentioned that Cinderella's body was stolen once by Nihilister by the time she was wandering into the surface while she's fixing her... Although she managed to take her back and protect her inside the Crystal Region until now, it surprises me the fact they didn't deepen that part of their lore yet during Old Tales epilogue.
I don't know how or what kind of origin Nihilister had, but I'm pretty sure that Red Shoes is somewhat involved in it, maybe indirectly.

While I do know there are humans in the Ark whose lives are worth it... it's because of people like those researchers that I sometimes think Crow did nothing wrong... and that's saying a lot.
Cinderella stopped the production of Rapture. Abe said the infinity number of Raptures was because Raptures were produced at a faster rate than they were killed. Abe saw some Nikke on the surface, but it doesnt seem like there was a lot of missions on the surface so it has to be because Raptures arent produced anymore. Maybe thats why they're trying to find another Queen, to produce Raptures again. But if Marian was a random Nikke, they could have taken any Nikke and turned her into a Queen, so Marian must be special. I think shes related in some way to the Queen and Liliweiss, because she also seems to be related to the Queen in some way. If Queen is Eve (apparently its an AI on the space station) then shes definitely related to Lilith, but idk about Marian.
And Queen is on the surface too, the space station fell, it didnt went to space, it physically doesnt make sense. And it wasnt orbiting too. It was just attached to the Lift. I think everyone no one died because of the fall if Abe didnt die lol
I think Queen's attack didnt hurt anyone too because if you look at Cinderella, she isnt hurt when shes falling. I think her body and 2nd Gen Grimm models are much more resistant than the space station walls (probably also true for the Queen so she survived the fall)
Oh and also Nihilister tried to take Anachiro from Abe, thats probably why theres a volcano in the map and why "Challenge" is at this place (damn they really cookred with this event). I dont know why Nihilister did that though. Now that I think about it, Behemoth did the same, she was interested in Anachiro. Maybe they just want her to be a Heretic again and become stronger

This story has been amazing. Cinderella is my favorite nikke now. I loved her tragic story and how she's getting her chance at rewriting her tainted story. Her and Abe deserve that chance. And I'm so glad Abe got to see the scoreboard finally show a finite number. It shows Cinderella succeeded in their plan B of cutting off the rapture factory in the space station. And for them, that's probably all they needed to regain even the slightest slimmer of hope. It may have been a century since then, but now with our boy Commander in the scene, things are only gonna get better, I hope.

all of this with the commander in the center of the conflict. skk being a human, the savior of humanity, and savior of nikkes.

One of the most touching yet tragic things I found out by searching the map for Grave memories is that she went so far to repair Cinderella that she took parts from herself just so she could continue repairing Cinderella

You know, the saddest part about this to me isn't Abe/Grave or Cinderella, its the researchers. Even a few years ago, before Humanity had fully integrated into the Ark, they were still trying to carry on the fight and reclaim the Earth. the scientist experimenting on Cinderella, love him or hate him, and the officer that pressured him, were still very focused on avenging the fallen and protecting the people... so what happened... well, it's simple... they lost...
The Ark was a last ditch effort to salvage as much of humanity as possible and bunker down from the Rapture, it was never the original goal, nor was it preferable to anyone in any way. We may rag on the people of the Ark, but when you actually look at it from their perspective... yeah, no wonder they're like this. In just a few years, their lives were uprooted by an alien threat that decimated nations and cultures that took over a millennium to form. Millions, if not billions of lives were lost, and for what? What have they gained. The process of arriving at the Ark likely costed even more lives due to all the confusion and chaos from so many different people, it likely took years just to get a semblance of order there while handling the war of the surface.
Nobody wanted to be there, they wanted to go back up, to raise their children under a real sun, with real cities, parks and everything, but they couldn't. They had pinned their hopes on the Goddess Squad... and the Goddesses failed. There was no way for most of the people to have a normal life again, and those who had power and influence did whatever they could to ensure their families had stability and normality, even if it meant throwing others under the bus, and I can't blame them. If such a situation happened to me, I'd do anything to ensure that myself and those I loved were able to live as comfortably as possible, to hell with anyone else.
But in the end, it didn't matter, because whether they were rich or poor, everyone in the Ark knew the truth. This wasn't a safe haven, it was a jail. Not paradise, but purgatory. Humanity had tried, and they had lost. This was it... this was life now... there was no going back...
Those researchers probably had lives once on the surface, loved ones, hopes and dreams, but they, more than anyone, had to contend with the fact that there was no going back. Maybe they had hope before, but it was long gone now, they'd swallowed the bitter pill for years since then, and had no choice but to accept it. No wonder they're so callous and unemotional with Abe, there wasn't anything in her that sparked hope. Whatever data was found was nothing but a grim reminder to them that they'd lost.
Well then, who gives a shit anyway, come on boys, let's go get lunch, maybe we can get something better tomorrow.
There's no hope anymore in the Ark, the people had long learned that it was best to just put their heads down, and walk through life, to at least believe in the semblance of normalcy. The little ones, with innocent hearts and eyes, still had hope, but that hope was only used by the CG to feed inexperienced Nikke and Commanders to a grinder that left them either dead or broken.
That's why the Ark is the way it is, why so many are assholes, why it seems to be such a terrible place. It's a world without hope, without real joy, breaking generation after generation down until they're barely human, just doing whatever they can to get through the day. Despair has been written into their lives, and they've long accepted it. They had no choice.
That's why the Commander can't give up on the Ark, why he has to save it, to rule it even. He needs to remind them that they can win now, that its not over. A real sky, real food, real lives, they're just above! Now's our chance, so let's take it!!!
Of course, it remains to be seen whether the Commander really is the true savior... or just another tool of the CG...

I don’t understand why they call it Failed Tale Ending. Looks to me they won. Before the situation was hopeless as the Raptures were infinite but now…Snow White has the right approach. Every Rapture destroyed is a small step towards reclaiming the surface.

Good catch. Alice did say that there were "sleeping princesses". Although its hard to say, most of the one they put in those are ones who had their brains detached (but found it). And the first Nikkes to come out were like decades later after the closure. Then again, they are up north, their brains could've frozen fresh.
Ark people once again proving why they aren't worth saving. They treated her like a machine. With no consciousness. They stripped her down, ripped her apart, and didn't even have the fucking courtesy of making she they didn't fucking break anything. I understand why the Heretics have their own personalities at this point outside of Cinderella. Not all corruption involves those unwilling. Some people actually might have surpressed desires to tear humanity apart for how they treated them.
I don't even understand how someone's empathy can just disappear like this. If it looks like a human, talks like a human, chances are it's just a FUCKING HUMAN. I hate the word Nikke. Horrible people like that exist nowadays too, but they are minority. Same goes for the Ark.
That's partly because they are afraid for their very lives and have only the Central Government as their sworn protectors. There is that impetus for obeying everything the leadership says no matter how absurd it may be.
Coupled with the erasure of information and the deliberate corruption and withholding thereof. Humans in the Ark would only see the Grimms models and Goddess Squad as being nothing more than any other unit of Nikkes. Thus to the Ark's people, Nikkes are nothing more than war machines who are expendable: just as the propaganda likely declares them to be.
Yeah and that's why i HATE the ark, it gives me pain to play as the good guy that is doing everything to save it, i would abandon it and go to Eden or with Crown/Marian if i could.

The only thing that bothers me is that in the end Abe stoped searching for the rest of the girls from the second generation, they could be still alive but Abe didnt search for them only Cinderella, but from there, well, there was only pain in the event.
I guess Abe didn't stop looking for the rest of Old Tales Squad. Even in 1 of the Fog from Abe's Memory, it's already been mentioned that Abe must facing with Nihilister. So Abe focused on protecting Cinderella from Nihilister first, before she can continue her search for another Old Tales members. Blame Nihilister for that. Luckily, now Nihilister is already out from the surface, with Commander's help. And of course, after Nihilister, she must facing with Behemoth. But yeah, at least now Behemoth is gone too (for a while), so maybe, now is the time to looking for another Old Tales members.
It's not like she could risk leaving Cinderella for long so she couldn't go far from her hideout

I know this is VERY VERY unlikely, but what if Cinderella did enough damage to the queen that she's either dead or dying and that the raptures are actually in the midst of a succession struggle and the reason humanity is not aware was because the Old Tales mission was classified and scrubbed.
