I got that one online from an online reseller but it didn't come with that nice-looking sleeve. I love this little loco. I also got the Amtrak Rohr Turbo train in DCC with sound as a gift from my wife. I love that one as well. Rapido Trains is top-knotch!
100% agreed @ADPeguero, This train is in #2 of my top 5 trains that I have. Also very cool that you got a train for your wife. Does she operate the trains with you? I've to get my wife in to model trains, but the closest that I got is getting her help with building the landscape and the arts and craft portion of this hobby.
I have the exact same road number and unit as you got Tim , they are really nice units great review ! The BC rail units have the rock lights , CN didn't have rock lights .

I love this model and I have my review coming tomorrow as I picked up one pre-owned and it was weathered with sound. I do HO scale now mostly so I will try and get one in HO scale if I can pick one up. Hopefully Rapido Trains will make another run of them :). Great video and here is a like from me. nice to see something come in early for a change! My dealers website still says Feb. I didn't pre order but I plan to grab one, the first run from a few years ago was really nice! I was hoping these would come with non traction wheel sets, but honestly, the traction tires haven't given me any problems yet.
Hello @trainsforbrains, Going to be honest with you. This Dash 8 is from the first run! I've had this train for about 2 years. It's only until recently I have been getting back into the youtube video from a 3 year pause! I'm glad to hear that they are doing another run of this great train. Great review! I had one from the first HO release but it did not have the detail yours has. There is more Ho units coming out soon. I thought it was a great loco with great pulling power. It was part of their “prime mover” series… so it was $200 with sound but hardly any detail.
Hey @GoVisorgohome, I remember that "prime mover" series. I was a bit gelly when I saw the HO Dash 8, and thought that the HO scale get the cool stuff over N scale!! lol. But when Rapido said that they were going to release a N scale version, I was all over it!!!! lol. I can say that this train is in my top 5 favourite. I've noticed that Rapido is redoing a lot of their first trains and using what they learned to better the next gen of model trains. As always, thanks for the comment buddy.
You are correct @user-bt1vq5rl4n . I purchased this train back in 2018 and waited 2 years before it I received it in 2020. With that said, from the information that I researched, the 2nd run that you are talking about will use the same tool and dies, motors, DCC Chips, and gears as the run that my #2400 uses. As you stated, the only difference is just the road numbers. So this review can still be applied to the most recent run on Rapido's N Scale Dash 8. Thank you for your comment.

This is a video review of my opinion of how this train is built and put together. As I mentioned before, Rapido will be using the exact same tool and die as the last run for the current soon to be run coming soon. But I can see with your opinion that you have a lot of experience with Rapido Inc. and qith model trains. Perhaps maybe you should do a video of yourself! Rocker lights are present on the BC Rail model but not on the CN models. It's another set of ditch lights in the front.

That #2400.Came out on the last run.The #'s out this run are 2401,2405,2410,2423.I ordered all 4 stripes that # wasn't included. What's up?
