I love your enthusiasm for this instrument. I have a 16M on it's way to me and I am very excited to get started with it. When you play this instrument it sounds like a professional instrument to my ears. The tone is beautiful. I only hope I can come close to that! Thanks for the video.
Where can we find the other video with the modifications you mentioned?

I haven’t been able to find a student tenor saxophone that plays better than these vintage Conn 16Ms. Mine is ten years older (1959) and has a few things different (key guards, lacquer tone) that indicate it was made in the original Elkhart, Indiana plant before the move of production to Nogales, Arizona and later to Nogales, Mexico. Some say that quality became poor, but I have discovered many people happy with the ones built during the waning years of Conn. The one in this video has a nice tone in all the registers., regardless of where and when made. Wished I spoke your language.

Thank you very much for your message and yes, the Conn 16M is a great sax, it has a beautiful timbre, in tune and free blowing. The older ones have a sound richer in harmonics because of the denser and harder metal, probably a better metal alloy, that's a fact, but not just in this model: in my opinion the saxophone industry has changed every decade and used lighter and weaker metals for sound and durability, due to the industrial process of globalization and a more commercial than musical objective. Currently, if you compare the sound of Conn saxophones made in China, you will feel that the sound has gotten worse and worse, not only from Conn but also from all modern saxophones, even the most expensive ones like Selmer Paris, if you compare the timbre of Supreme compared to a good Mark VI, the Supreme loses badly! Take good care of your beautiful 16M, this sax is great and I have a special affection for this model.

Everything in our new global economy is buy new and throw away in a few years. Independent repair shops are hard to find, and the ones associated with music stores only want to do minimal repairs on their rental instruments. I feel that it is getting more difficult and costly to have your vintage saxophones serviced. None the less, I do plan on keeping my 16M in good condition. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this oftentimes overlooked vintage saxophone.

This mouthpiece worked well on my Conn 16M. I found that many players are happy with an Otto Link Tone Edge 7 on this saxophone. Both mouthpieces are fortunately very affordable. I got a good price on a Theo Wanne Slant Sig 2 with. 6* tip opening, and being a local company for me, I chose that. It is usually more expensive than the Otto Link or Select Jazz.
