The last hour plus of this video had me smiling ear to ear. From the infinite dread of the unending Balor match, to the hilarious Big Cass squash, and the fucking amazing Funk and Okada match, this is easily some of the best content I’ve ever seen from nL. In my mind, there was a story told in that final match: Kazuchika Okada: Calm, cool, calculated, but agitated at the fact that Rey Mysterio, the man who actually deserved this match, the man who already got a win over him, and the man he wanted to take the win back from, lost to a washed up old man. He's going into this match with the intention of getting out as quick as possible. Terry Funk: Clearly nervous. His opponent is a man who has not only survived the crippling Frog Splash to the spine, but a man who has beaten the former champion TWICE before. Back to back, even. His age has caught up with him, and he is entering this match with the mindset of doing anything he can to win. Okada is clearly not taking Funk seriously. He toys with him in the corner as he chokes him with his boot, he slams Funk whereas Funk simply throws strikes that never amount to anything at Okada. But the kicker is when Funk lands the Piledriver without the leap. Okada views that as Funk pitying him. This enrages the champion. Pity? From a fragile, old man? A man he himself believes to be superior to? From there, Okada lands a Tombstone, and another, and the Rainmaker in the hopes of ending the match right there, but Funk is defiant. Okada then tees off on Funk, with signature move after signature move. It all leads up to when Funk finally pulls out the fork. Funk has viewed Okada as a literal God. Someone you can't beat with conventional means. You need to equalize the battlefield, and that is what Funk does. He does what no other opponent could do: He made the Rainmaker bleed. The Rainmaker bled his own blood, and it turned him into just a man. A man that can be beaten by The Funker. From there, it's Funk throwing everything at Okada to keep him down. Funk literally brutalizes Okada, just as Okada did in the beginning and Okada stays resilient, refusing to fall down, much like Funk did in the beginning. The tables completely switch, and from there on, Terry Funk is God, and Kazuchika Okada is just a man. Simply beautiful.
The Indian Deathlock isn't Indian afaik, it's apparently called that because the way you cross your opponent's legs around your own is similar to sitting cross legged on the floor which some call sitting 'Indian style'. It's also known as the British Figure Four Leglock.
