At 9:49 when you moved the wall individually the attached wall to this wall didn't scale to fill the gap. So moving a wall disconnects the wall from other connected walls
It depends on how you move a wall; if you move a wall using the PlusSpec push-pull wall tools, it will stay connected and increase the size of the adjoining walls. Tip: if you push "insert" on your keyboard, it will add another wall (excellent when creating bay windows from a split wall) I you use the Sketchup move tool, it will disconnect from the existing wall loop, & that is how we intended it to work. Do you have a suggestion or different functionality in mind @Z-add ? You can use the free forum to make suggestions. Here is the link plusspec.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=36
NZ question. We use steel lintels (UB or PFC) strap with timber for wide openings such as garage doors or big sliding doors. Does PlusSpec accomodate this option when using timber framing with light cladding?
Hey Neil when you add a grage door in double brick it will automatically add a PFC with a plate welded to it. You cna see it by adding a section cut or going to transparent view in Sketchup. If you right click a double brick wall you will notice that teh beam will turn up in your estimate.
Thanks for commenting, PlusSpec was not designed for the amateur but you can get a month to month version on the website. I hope that helps. If the average person gets $50/hour it will pay for itself within 2 hours if you are doing this as a job. If you are a student you can have your school or university contact us and we do have options for students
@@undo7711 Sorry to hear that, If you have estimating experience maybe you can work for your license? you would need to reach out to Andrew Dwight Via LinkedIn
