Host numbers always divided by 2 ?
Any explanation why not randomly allocate...like say here we have 255 host addr...so can we decide to give 32 address to subnet1 and 224 address to subnet2 .

Hello sir, after seeing the comments, looks like everyone understood except me. Pleaes let me know where is the gap?
In the video, you were constantly shifting from 172. 31. 0. 0/24, and 172. 31. 0. 0/25.
At one moment, I felt like you sticked to 172. 31. 0. 0/24. At 7:40 why you suddenly changed to 25? Any reason? Please clarify me.
I suggest you watch again

If host portion is actually the number of available IP addresses to use, what exactly is Network Portion ? Where they are getting used ?
Network portion is always fix, this is the way we can identify hosts in same network or different network

If scenerio is VPC : 10.0.0.0/16 , Subnet 1 : 10.0.0.0/23 then what would be Subnet 2 ?
How many subnets to be created from the VPC CIDR block?
How many IP addresses or hosts do you want to created from the CIDR block.?
How dumb question was this... I was not aware of subnetting at that time.
Thank you for always replying. I am AWS Admin now #Peace 🤭
