This episode took me back to my grandparents farm. We still have many similar items. It was even a German builder that build their farm house many years ago in Canada. We still have German families settling to this day here and building new homes. I noticed a few favourite recipes as you thumbed through the cookbook, chocolate zucchini cake, poppy seed cake. These cakes are still sold at our church fundraisers. This episode was very nostalgic for me. Thank you very much, Lady Mary Beth.

I've got a Robinson Ransbottom crock filled with a faux tree in my foyer. I love adding small touches of primitives throughout my home as a reminder of my grandmother - though mine are more New England in style as my family hails from Maine.

Good evening Lady Mary Beth, I so enjoyed the tour of this primitive farmhouse and accompanying buildings. It took me back to my childhood visiting relatives who lived “out in the country” when I was a little girl. Not so out in the country now. 😂So many beautiful things and lots of memories with the crocs and the variety of kitchen utensils.
Glad this brought back memories for you. It was a delight to meet Dawn and showcase her farm. She is authentic and I am a huge fan of her TikTok now.

Found a cute Royal Danube 1886 petite pink pedestal dish with open work on sides. Look online for history or any info but really not any. every dish is #1886 Just wondering what you can tell me

My mother had some of these items, such as crocks and old furniture. Very nice show, I enjoyed looking at all the old items.
I actually have some of the items you showed- plus many many quilts my great grandma made after the civil war. I could go on and on.

This made me nostalgic for 1980’s antique & craft shows. My family was settled in Ohio by the 1850’s and we are lucky enough to have some of the original pieces they didn’t use. Yes didn’t because if they were in daily use they would have been worn out before being set aside for a newer, better tool. My grandma was good about pointing that out. She died in 1981 at 93. The only thing from the era I don’t like is red ware but as I was watching it occurred to me that there were no local potters then or now in the area. Our dirt is very brown so no red ware anywhere close
We can learn so much from our grandparents. They experienced the Great Depression and life changing world events. This definitely shaped them.
