  • Prof. Marc Vervloet and Prof. Pieter Evenepoel present their recommendations on calcium intake in adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which are part of a recent European consensus statement that has been published in NDT. This consensus statement has been picked by MARKUS @ HOMe editors as “NDT's Paper of the Month” as part of our cooperation with NDT - Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation, the official journal of the European Renal Association.
    Additionally, recommendations on vitamin D supplementation and therapy in adult patients with CKD are discussed.
    Dr. Pieter Evenepoel is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Adjunct Head of Nephrology at the University Hospital (UZ) of the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium.
    Dr. Marc Vervloet is Professor of Nephrology at Radboud University Medical Center at Radboud University and Head of the Department of Nephrology at Radboudumc in Nijmegen.
    Both a globally leading researchers in the field of CKD-MBD.
