I’ve LITERALLY found out about your product, 5 minutes ago. Then I was like: “damn, Asiair could really have this…but nah, it won’t have”. Then I’ve searched and you posted this video 2 days ago. 🙌🏼😜
I use the FP1 for long time, I use NINA, but I want also be able to use ASIAR as you demo, my question for you is, I should be able to continue using NINA and ASIAIR? You mentioned bee firmware is needed, can you please clarify of if I can use FP1 with bot Apps? Thanks
I own the flap I purchased form you for more than a year already, so happy using it on Nina with fantastic results, I stop using Aisair because this reason but in interested to have this option as well, can you please tell me if I update firmware what else I need to use it with aisair? And Nina will continue working? Thanks
@@AntonioPena1 for NINA, you need to connect USB cable to the Windows PC and use ASCOM driver. For ASIAIR, you need to connect our new cable (no USB) and control via DC outputs.
Is the most recent firmware update for the FP1 14.11.2022, the one needed to use this cable? Is that the only update needed? Thanks for a great product.
@@DeepSkyDad I just ordered the cable and some other stuff 🙂. Will it be available/shipped with firmware availability before NEAF? I have a few people interested in testing it out. Thanks for the reply.
I'm intrigued by your flat panel. But I have one additional question. Would it be dark enough with the light off entirely to automate dark frames also? Innother words , program the closed flat panel to take flats, flat darks, and darks all in sequence with no intervention?
@@samwarfelphotosif DC outputs are not variable, but can be at least turned on/off, we could support open/close (with single brightness). If they are always on, its not possible to implement control.
@@nikaxstrophotography Ok, we will test how it works. Would it be ok if you would configure step size in our control panel prior to using ASIAIR? For example, like in case of AF, coarse movement 10 degrees, fine movement 1 degree
@@DeepSkyDad I understand, and I think this would be incredible! Honestly, if you hardcoded the slow/fast step size I’m sure users would be happy, but if you give us the ability to customize these it would be even better! However, I assume the only way this would be possible is if you use the flat panel device mode, in which case you would only have a slider which moves 0-100 in increments of 10. So I would assume rotation would have to be in %, not degrees, right?
Cool! I made one for these for my 10” newt that runs of the air also. Cool to see someone else had the idea also!

Ok release date when? 😜
Need one for an Askar FRA500
This is incredible, thanks for another great solution!
Do you have a modified flat Pa el for Aakar 103 APO? Looking forward to this.
Great idea!! Will it be available for wider diameters?
for which telescope do you need it?
Can it be orientated in any direction ? Otherwise it will block the guide scope ?
Depends on the size of the flap panel, please check this video: th-cam.com/video/ryI4b34INC0/w-d-xo.html

You can use FP1 with both (NINA and ASIAIR). However, for ASIAIR, you will need to upgrade the firmware to 1.0.6
awesome ! Thank you sir

You only need to update to latest firmware (which will be released soon - v1.0.5) and connect to the asiair with additional control cable
@@DeepSkyDad will Nina and ASIAIR can work? Meaning I can switch between the both capture apps?

Can this cable be used to control non-ZWO cameras, focusers etc?
unfortunately not, this is only for flap panels
Do you also have a solution for WO FLT91 couldn’t see it on your site ? Thanks
Let us know outer diameter of the front of the dewshield and we will prepare it for you
Do you have one for SW EVOSTAR 120ED and 72ED?

we will release the new firmware soon, instructions will come with the cable

If you make them in dark conditions, it should work
nice work
So cool, now please, rotator!
Would it autoclose itself when using ASIAIR Autorun mode and "Shutdown ASIAIR" (after autorun is done) checkbox is enabled?
Yes it can be configured to close when ASIAIR shuts down, in this case flap must be powered independently of ASIAIR (for example via our DCHUB)
Does this work with the ASIAir Mini?
We did not have mini at hand for test. Does it gave variable DC outputs? If it does, it should work.
@@DeepSkyDad the mini has no variable dc outputs just dc outputs
@@DeepSkyDad It seems it does not. That's a shame. Might want to mention that in your documentation of this product.
It seems the 12 ports are just always on when the ASIAIR is powered. I can see how much power the AIR total is drawing, but that's it.
@@samwarfelphotosif DC outputs are not variable, but can be at least turned on/off, we could support open/close (with single brightness). If they are always on, its not possible to implement control.
Just wondering if you can do this with a rotator?
Interesting idea! We could probably make it rotate CW or CCW via slider
@@DeepSkyDad if it can be done that would be awesome as ZWO are so invested in the seestar they have forgotten about the rotator
