lol 100% true. I saw a movie about a bunch of murders happening in a small British village. It was sort of a comedy, but a really dark one. Every time a murder happened, all the police thought they were just accidents because their chief was actually a part of the group committing the murders, and he had brainwashed them. Only one person, the main character, knew that they had to be murders and eventually, he was able to get all the brainwashed (or I should probably say brainless) cops on his side and he was able to kill the murders and arrest their leader

I cared more about the cat then the story
This ending is disgusting. She killed a lot of innocent people including her own father. I hope this doesn't just ends like that and she gets punished as well
Funny you should say that: In the original novel, Rhoda gets away with everything (for a variety of reasons); but in the 1956 film adaptation it was demanded that the ending be changed because it was seen as inappropriate and immoral to show bad guys winning- so they have her get struck by lightning at the end out of nowhere.
Sometimes the bad guys get away with things. That's life.

😂😂😂😂
We have the good one and the bad one my friend
She feels some sort of way towards her father, cognitively perhaps. She was protective over him, and shed tears over him without her "mask on" seconds before attemping to kill him, both times. Psychopathy is often mistaken with so many other detachment disorders. She never had her mother's nurture which may explain why she is the way she is. She definitely lacks remorse but does show some feelings towards her dad, just not strong enough to want him in her life.
I wonder what the actress who played Emma thought while filming this
like
"yeah, you're gonna be playing the little girl"
"and she's gonna kill everyone"
the actress probably researched the minds of sociopaths

i see u everywhere, woomy
I think they did this in the shining and I'm not sure about other movies but I think the lids don't know that their in a horror film, they just do as the grown ups tell them to.

Fuck ... shes the next president !!! 🤣🤣
Lol
And Japan loves death game movies every country has its issues
We first fell in love with psychos with Alfred Hitchcock.
Alot of people who run shit over here are psychopathic and THEY DONT SLEEP
A professional therapist wouldn't diagnose a little girl as "normal" after one session
This is a movie. We dont have time for such ridiculous details like watching multiple therapy sessions lol Gotta speed things along for the plot to go forward.
According to the history her dad would've given the psychiatrist, she should have approached with a high suspicion with red flags checked already for psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies.
exactly
Ikr they ain’t fooling nobody
I mean yes this might sound stupid that the doctor would say she is normal, but the whole important thing is she got away with it, most average kids would have gotten caught in like a week or so maybe less. Her plans might sound really dumb and fucked up, but she did so many things that an average kid wouldn't do and got away with it, so I would say she is a 200+ IQ kid. And her dad probably just thought her behavior might be due to Milo had died even though it isn't.
The horror of going through this as a parent must be an intense one. On one hand that is your beloved child so you might be in denial; on the other you know they could kill you without any thought. Psychopathy/sociopathy in children, although very rare, is REAL. It must be diagnosed and treated as soon as possible before the afflicted can do any more harm. Never give up on your children.
There is a logical proof called game theory that shows even if you're the most selfish person in the world, the best strategy long-term is to be nice, not competitive.
The problem is selfishness combined with hubris. If you think that you can figure everybody else out, the sociopath feels confident enough that they can get away with it.
And they can't. Not forever.
The girl that played this role is always smart in the movies she plays. Young Sheldon, this, and fuller house
I have to say the ending is retarded...so the father avoid the police, but then tries to kill the daughter...so it felt hard for him to bring his daughter to the police but trying to kill her was not hard????

Easy lie. If he asks why you were on the cliff with milo, say, “he told me to follow him and I did. But I didn’t go up the cliff all the way. I got scared the higher it went and told milo I wanted to go back. He told me I was a scaredy-cat and I ran…dad, if I didn’t run and I stayed with him, he might still be alive. It’s my fault.”
The father gave up so easily with the psychiatrist. When Emma admitted to him the things she did, he should have taken her back and explained the situation. Even if she tries to deny that, the psychiatrist knows now what to look for. She can look for inconsistencies from her behaviour and she weould be able to tell if she was pretending or not.
You don't take a sociopath to a therapist because the sociopath, like Emma, figures out what the therapist wants to hear
You severely overestimate psychiatrists
Also emma probably would have killed her dad before the therapist could make any headway. Honestly if it was me I'd do most of what he did up until the trying to kill me part. When you see that your child is a psychopath, you don't treat them with love anymore. Psychopaths cannot and will not ever feel empathy for anyone. They are only set to get what they want. What happened with the psychologist is a classic mistake in movies. Psychologists generally to see someone multiple times over a period to diagnose them, as the inconsistencies are what let's them make a diagnosis.

Was she on Young Sheldon?
@@ZAYN_ONE_DIRECTION Yes, as Paige Swanson.
Then there is me who keeps thinking this is Isabelle Fuhrman
@@user-hf1bm4yb5o ohhh okkk now I can recognise her. Thank you
SHELDON IS A SHE?🗿
She was clever, not smart. Clever that she used her age to tip scales to her favor and knowledgable about the resources she could use around the house. If she was smart about plotting murder, then she could've killed without any traces left behind whatsoever, and would have obtained that merit in the first place which would lead to no one being killed.
Idk just my opinion, you can't stop me
She is nowhere near 200 iq barely a 100
she was both mart (=academic knowledge/ knowing general information) and clever (= applied knowledge or cunning/ witty )
She's smart for her age but not 200 IQ. Serial killers with 200 IQ kill without trace and raise no suspicion
@@begreater226 I don't know. Smart people don't start killing everyone directly related to them. Her dad, babysitter, teacher and rival at school.... like how many people can you kill circled around you before you get caught and just ain't all that bright?

I’m actually really curious if psychologists can actually be fooled with this?
No. They would instantly recognize it. The movie just have "plot" armor.
Depends if the pyhcolisgist is a idiot or some how the girl has the super ability to fool other people
i mean, years of experience in a field vs some little girl with a high iq with obvious psychopathic traits, yeah plot armour is an asshole

It’s a 2nd remake of a movie from the 50s. The first remake was in the 80s. It’s pretty cool though that the lady who played Rhonda in the original plays the therapist.
There are some similar vibes with both the movies. Both girls are talented actors who know how to act creepy and wicked.

She is a psychopath straight up. She doesn’t need psychiatric help, she knows what she’s doing, she knows what she’s doing is wrong but she doesn’t care because that’s how psychopaths are. She doesn’t belong in a mental hospital she belongs in ADX Florence where she can never get out or escape
It's not hard to fool a psychiatrist, just deny their questions and act if he/she's your friend. I've tried it before to avoid taking anti-depressants because my narcissistic parents wanted me to.

"Don't do anything bad to a cat on the Internet."
What do you expect from a psychopath? To show emotion and save it? Their mind thinks differently than our mind, I also have a high iq but people who know me know that I'm a compassionate person but this film still intrigues me about the human mind for some people
yeah that made me angry too but like... it makes sense for her character

Her last days in life
“Is there a hell”
Someone’s “we’ll see you in heaven”
Her smile instantly drops and she does not want to know what happens after her death. Fear of something you can’t control. “You deserve it”
Fun fact: the woman who plays Dr. March played Rhoda in the original 1956 adaptation of The Bad Seed, hence the subtle in-jokes that Emma reminds her of herself when she was a little girl and that she got up to the same things that she did at her age.
oh so that's why the therapist didn't snitched up her psychotic behavior to her father

This child actor always portrays her roles amazingly. I can't wait to see her more in movies and series.
Instead of lying about not seeing Milo she should have said he get scared by a bee or something and fell
This is why you guys don't have 200+ IQ you do know the parents would hate her and would suspect something wasn't right leading them to call the police on her and investigating Milo's death her excuse not seeing Milo at all was perfect as it gives her enough time to figure out her next plan of action against killing anymore suspects and in this case it would be her teacher

The boy who won the metal must not been that smart. Had to been an inside job. Because if he was such a wise child, even more than Emma. He would never left the sight of adults, into a wooded area, and go stand near a clift end. Smart ppl tend to not play Russian roulette with their lives. Realistically, the boy would had left the girl in the wooded area and went back to a more comfortable setting, around the adults. Lots of dumb characters in this movie.
I like how after this entire ordeal, this “evil genius” never even gets awarded the citizenship award, literally what she wanted in the first place.
It's hilarious to me because the medal was for characteristics such as HONESTY and COMPASSION. Traits she does sssssssooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo does not posses. Like, how could she look at that thing with the school's values stamped in the medal, know who she is and what she's done and not laugh? I would, and knowing I tricked everyone.
She proudly touts the whole courage, grace, compassion stuff, but then when she doesn't win, calls Milo a bad public speaker and a bad speller, completely forgetting what the award was for. It was just another notch in her trophy collection, and she only wanted it because it was "big like in the Olympics" which catered more to her vanity. Nothing else, and Milo died young for literally nothing ----just winning an award he actually deserved and Emma totally didn't.
