I saw this movie when i was kid. The lady kid who is pretending to be aster made me scared, horrified was scared AF. This crime thriller is more horror than Horror movie.
This movie is very recent, if you watched it when you were a kid then you are still a kid.
@@blaqmagiq001when was this made?
@@blaqmagiq001This movie came out in 2009
@@blaqmagiq001this is the first one your thinking of part 2 this is old
Noted
The psychiatrists in these evil child movies are usually so bad at their jobs it annoys me.
Fr
as personnal experience, psychiatrists are bad at their jobs in general...
I mean from an outside perspective Kate does look pretty guilty.
So accurate portrayal
This was very disturbing. Also, there's at least one real life incident of an adoptee from Russia who turns out to be dangerously insane, that was in the news a few years ago. Yikes. That psychologist should be fired.
You mean Natalia Grace from Ukraine, adopted by the Barnetts? She seems to have never actually harmed anyone, and she probably was not as old as the Barnetts thought, but she was surely older than claimed by the adoption agency, and the Barnetts were rightly frightend by that and some weird threatening behavior. The state should have assisted them. In stead, everyone seemed to have been releaved to let the Barnetts deal with everything on their own. And then the Barnetts were accused of child endangeremen. In the end acquitted. Note that I think Nathalia was not an adult, but young teenager. She was presented as a 6 year old. She had a hard life, she may be disturbed and did some weird things, but she probably was not well educated and due to her looking like a 6 year old, due to her growth condition, was probably treated as a 6 year old for years. How should she know what is normal and was it going on? Both she and the Barnetts deserved help.
Damn
@@ritabylsma4244I think Nathalia killed two of their sons
@@WeAreNotGoingBack How did you come to think that? Is it because she was called a sociopath and you think evey sociopath has killed 2 sibblings?

“Nobody hugs daddy but ME’ 😂
- How someone, who had alcohol problems recently can adopt?
- Putting the basketball backboard on the wall in the "garage" next to your car is not wise.
- Adopting is not used to be like shopping where you walk into an orphanage and take a girl from the shelf. Also, adopting a girl without knowing her and her background is stupid. Especially when you already have some sus info about a fire...
- Lock the door when you are making love.
- Ignoring strange incidents and accidents... like in every horror movie 🤪 Also not keeping an eye on the weird sus kid who always have some mess around... 🙄
- Talk more to your children and know them better.
Just a film chief
@@SubZero589 This is just a film, but it is based on a true story. It of course didn't go exactly like this. A couple who were looking to adopt and had been trying for a while were contacted by an adoption agency out of florida. They said they had a girl from Russia available, and the couple took her. After some time they claimed the girl was actually an adult, and that she tried to hurt their kid. There's debate to this day on how old she is. Look up "Natalia Grace' for her story.
@@SubZero589 Or is it?
@@piperbird7193 After going through other comments I searched on the real story. That raises even more questions than the movie...
I watched the movie with my little sister when it came out (she was 17 back then). after the movie I scared the $hit out of her just by pointing behind her and saying "Orphan". We both ended up laughing our a$$es off. good times
????????
Withholding info about a potentially violent child is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Lol
The sequel to this movie was very insightful! It was really good!
1:17 Now that would be 300 dollars 😂😂😂
You are the G.O.A.T of movie recap

I love the comedy you throw in! 😂
She whispered to the deaf girl? Lol wtf
The deaf girl is wearing hearing aids. :)
@@LastKatanaGirl She can also read lips
This entire movie doesn't happen if the characters had common sense and stopped talking about the psycho girl in places she can hear them.
Like seriously, Abagail went to their crib to say Esther might be fucked up as if Esther isn't there.
I loved this movie man, watched this as a kid it was scary ASF
I saw this movie in theatres and the twist at the end still leaves me shook
Thank you for the recap! 😁
I still like the original ending were Ester walks downstairs to the police and introduces herself as nothing happen.
were ? i watched this movie when i was a kid it ends with her sinking and calling her mama help me as i remember
@@aspenadecmaybe theres two versions of it or like a similar movie
@itsmelujeinzaben There's two apparently. One was from 2022 original is 2006
why'd you left out the part where Esther dolled herself out and tried to get frisky with John?
It would be wrong as there is some young audience on TH-cam and it would be wrong
Probably because of TH-cam censors
Then this video would be removed if they add that
That would see that as wrong, and TH-cam doesn't really allow that type of thing to be shown in some cases.
Because it's an uncomfortable scene????
This happens more often than you'd think.
Bullsh*t man this stuff fake af 😅
The orphans being 30 year old women?!
@@wh3elson Natalia Grace Barnett - well something like this.
She overhears them talking

Isabelle Fuhrman! She’s awesome, especially as clove in the hunger games

13:00 How can Esther eavesdrop when Max is deaf and they're using sign language?
Based on true story, but not the killing stuff.
Loved the movie Ophran!
Isabelle Fhurman did a damn good job in this movie.
She's coming back in the sequel
They already make a prequel but they're planning on making another one in the next few years. Not a sequel of prequel@@juanitamorgan5475

This is such a good movie..
He’ll nah the scream😂😂”huuuoooahhh”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s impressive how this guy can post these daily.
wait.. how can max eavesdrop and listen to esthers whisper when shes deaf?
Deaf people can read peoples lips, even though they cannot hear, into which that's probably what he meant.
For one she can read people's lips and for two It states in the movie that she can hear slightly and she also does have a hearing aid. She doesn't wear it all the time though
Never heard of Oprhan before.
The ribbon reminds me of the movie with the dead woman who always weres one until one day when it gets removed and her head falls off
It's the scream for me 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s A Surprisingly Good, Low Budget Time-Waster
OPRHAN .😂😂.You got that one wrong.
Great video
I have watched this movie alone at night 2 am and i was actually so scared that i was getting goosebumps and i could not sleep 😅

That's just crazy the thing is people actually do this some people look like children but they're actually 40-year-olds or 20 year olds crazy right😅
Question is how? how do they able to have such youthful appearance despite being Adults?

I can’t remember if this is based on a true story or if some people on Doctor Phil were lying.
Looking back at Dr Phil I’m going with the latter 😂
it's real and happened in my country.. except Barbora (Ester) is diagnosed with DID (multiple personality disorder). so she didn't pretend - Anna is one of her alters
This movie look's terrifying! I've seen some weird Movie's in my time but this one is up there with the weirdest!
nice movie!
That scream will haunt my dreams.😱
Arent we just gonna ignore the aquarium scene with the burning house that looked like the mental hospital that katie called
“He and Kate ‘fabulous’ in the kitchen all the time.”

Huh, this story is awfully familiar. Where did I hear this before? Could it be an exaggerated tale of a news story that people heard many years ago?
Whats the music in this video background

Ah, yes. I'll immediately go look up the movie "Oprhan". TY, Mystery for your meticulous attention to detail. /s

I should do this, even though my canon age is 16, and Larry's the youngest Koopaling at 13, so many people online have tried to convince me that I'm 12 or 8 or something based on their feelings. It's insane. So who wants to adopt a "little" girl who "won't" murder your whole family? Just leave your address and phone number down in the replies.

How does ai call a 30 years old person a child
