You may like ‘Do You Dream of Terra-Two?’ It’s a quiet character driven soft sci-fi novel that focuses a lot on humanity and the things we carry with us and the things we leave behind.
Heart-warming sci-fi rec for you: "project hail mary". I absolutely adored it! It was my first sci-fi and I fell in love with the story and its characters.
I really need to read more soft sci-fi because it's so beautiful. I adored This Is How You'll Lose the Time War. And I think the Murderbot Diaries (All Systems Red) fall into the category too because they're more about individuals than overarching world building etc
I agree with you about wanting to be relaxed about reading instead of trying to just read as much as possible.. but I also can’t decide 😂 this month my brain has decided for me that we are being slow, but in January I read more than I usually do
I wasted a few years of my life drinking and now I focus on family, friends and reading. Finally I'm happy. My 4 favorite books: - Icon by Frank Frazetta - Bridgerton by Julia Quinn - The Joy of Art by Carolyn Schram - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
Long Way To A Small Angry Planet is one of my fave books too! I also need to reread it. I don't have any reading goals for this year b/c I'm so busy with work and trying to have a social life (what is that even lmao). One thing I would like to do is get back to reading comics - I used to read a lot of comics, but somehow haven't been doing that lately (I really need a better tablet for that - my current one is too small).
Some of my favorite fantasy is retellings of classic fairytales! So I really really loved The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale (it's part of a series that is also fairly good but the first book just stuck with me) 🌳🌳🌳🏰🌳🌳🌳
hi leo! idk if you’ve read a psalm for the wild built by becky chambers but it’s very whimsical/philosophical/heart warming! and it’s a novella so it’s a quick read 😁
A sci fi book i really want to read is The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer... It sounds really good but it is not out in my country yet so i have not read it, I have heard good reviews from those who have read it and i think you might too! Also i would definitely watch a live video!! Thankyou for another lovely video! Also the zodiac bookmarks sound really cool!
I've set my reading goal to 50 with an emphasis on finishing/continuing series. Nearly done with Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings and King's The Dark Tower and half-way in about 4 other, so still have ways to go.
I've decided to reduce my reading goals by a lot the last year. Two years ago I was able to read over 100 books, to then read only 35 the following year 😅 This year I'll try and get 52, one a week, but I'm expecting to have to catch up way more in summer once I'm done with my master's degree. However I won't beat myself up if I don't achieve that. Life is too short for that extra stress y'know?
Unnecessary babbling is awesome and I do it all the time! Plus your sweater vest is super cute!
Can you do a house tour?! Your place looks so adorable! 💛

Hey, definitely check out the novellas by Becky Chambers, ‘A psalm for the Wild Built’ and ‘To be taught if fortunate’. They’re both perfect ✨
omg yes they've both been on my list for ages!

@@leoraaileen hope you enjoy it if you read if! I have heard that the romance is part of the book but it is not the main driving plot...
I also adore The Night Circus 😍 Erin Morgenstern is awesome.
same! such a dreamy novel
I always set my goodreads goal to 50 books. I feel like that is very manageable. It's 1 book a week with 2 weeks where I can slack off 🤣
hahahaha and we NEED those weeks to slack off
@@leoraaileen we sure do! 😂
Leo, you should read the "Noise level" short story by Raymond Jones, if you like retro sci-fi and mystery/detective.

That coffee looks absolutely delicious

I love this show.

exactly! reading is supposed to be fun, not a contest ❣️
Getting fooled into thinking it's time to unpack summer outfits on the first sunny days in march is a yearly tradition at this point in my life
same hahahahaha
I'm sure you'd have so many people watching if you did a live show!
aaahhh thank you
Loved this!! What brand was the coffee machine? I am looking at getting a new one :).
it's Create Ikohs! it's not the best espresso ever but I love it
feel-good sci-fi: project hail mary!!! 🚀
💛 📖
Everything's better than senseo. Senseo's a crime against coffee
agreed lmao
