Awesome content here. This is my first attempt, but glad to see I've already got most of these points covered... Bike is shined up like new until next Saturday!
Years back I was running rallies like Dacre, Roaming and Rock Hound and learned some of these lesson but never properly captured those lessons in one place. This is a great roll up of the key things to think about and how to prepare, thank you. I will say your riding preparation should reflect the long day on the bike so don't ride for an hour, ride for 4 or 5 and mix it up on terrain and pace but keep moving you'll need endurance.
Great tips !! The timed sections should be the transits as they have become so worn out they are actually tougher than the test sections ! U can thank the 4x4 community with their 40 inch tires and love for mud holes !!
Miserable Lake and other miserable transits are rather on-brand these days for the Cord’s “Canada’s Toughest Race”. Should be dry this year so will be extra fun.
Thanks for the video. I haven't done cord before and I'll be there this year. I'm well versed in racing enduro but there are some details that simply aren't available online (so far as I can tell) about the race. I didn't even know there'd be a brochure published will all the test info until today and I found out on facebook. I didn't know about not starting your bike before your minute on day 2 either. Hell, I didn't even know what class to sign up for since I race AMA and the classifications seem slightly different. Ended up in Intermediate B but I'm not sure whether that was correct! I'm on row 82 so I look forward to spending my day hollering at riders and navigating bottlenecks.
Fantastic video, very informative. Question: I believe you mentioned you can attach a sandwich/food to you gas can? Is this something I can do? Just tie a plastic bag with food to the gas can handle?
Great tips thanks ! See you at the 71st.
best of luck Sean - Everyone

Yes. You can and should. No hard coolers but lunch bag is ideal.
I'm just here for the Ernie cameos. Just joking. Great video!
