Man, the customer service was over the top! I always request that my lugs are torqued to proper specs, but like you I check them myself when I get home. I have never seen a shop put anti-sieize on the studs before. I always wondered how the wheel balance machine worked....now I know!

I went to one trying to get my lug locks off and replaced, the jokers wanted $70 for 4 damn lugs. I'd never go to one again. I'd rather hammer an undersized socket on and do it myself than pay that BS.

I will never use Wal-Mart again after they installed the wrong tires. I asked for Goodyear Reliants and they put on Douglas A/T (after verifying this twice with the associate who looked like she didn't give a damn). The Wal-Mart tire center associates are LAZY, RUDE and not-accommodating at all. They also put 2 different size valve stems on my tires. I'm having this fixed because the car looks 'stupid' with 3 valve stems sticking 2" out from the rim.
@ The walmart here I got a set of BlackHawk Agility tires for half the cost anywhere else. Walmart plus gets roadhazard free. Had a steering wheel vibration off the rack above 65 so I fixed some inconsistent inflation and re-torqued the nuts and everything is good to go. I think they did fine but always check the work after.

Many people run down the Walmart Auto Center because they have had a bad experience with them. I have been lucky and had no problems with their tires and service. I always buy the road hazard warranty and many times I have had Walmart repair or replace tires for me. I will say you should keep your paper receipt to show when and where you purchase the tires. Once I was out of state when I had a blowout and the tire could not be fixed. I found a Walmart and showed him my paperwork and there wasn't a problem. He should have been able to pull it up on his computer but for some reason he could not find it so having the paperwork saved the day.

Very nice tires and good job at the shop. 👍👍Austin. I never put anti seize on lug nuts because it's lubes the threads and it doesn't tourqe properly. Have a good day and be blessed guys.
That is probably only indicative of your particular walmart.
Because most tires shops will say anti seize is a bad idea which it is if you torque the wheel down correctly and not cross thread the threads you will be fine
Forgot to add that my Dad taught me a great trick to help me when taking off a tire when stuck. I put a small piece of tailpipe in the vehicle so when I deal with the lug nuts I can get more torque when loosening them. Once I have the car barely up on the jack it's so much easier for a woman to take it all off. I used to help farmers take off tough lug nuts that way. I also carry Breakaway in the car. My Dad had Mac trucks so I've watched him do many things on big tires. He gave me some tips. I also carry a small baseball like bat. Truckers used it for checking tires. I use it for protection as long as carrying a gun. which ever keeps you safe in different circumstances.

Suffered with the tires for the life of the tires before visiting Walmart for replacement tires .
Even with todays economy as messed up as it is
I bought four good year radial alignment balance and install for less than 500.00
And it’s like a different vehicle ,I’m so happy with my new tires
Extremely sad I had to put up with the new tires that came on the vehicle for years of torture .

I’ve put anti seize on some vehicles lug studs over the years but never had a shop do it.

I'm confused as to this whole buying tires from Wal-Mart thing? It seems like people make it sound like you can't buy tires at Wal-Mart and have them installed elsewhere.....For instance Wal-Mart is the only place that has the tires I want in stock. I'm not understanding why I can't buy these tires from Wal-Mart and then drive down the road and have them installed at my local Discount Tire?
I've done that a few times. Walmart won't mount tires that are not stock size. So I'd buy the larger tires then have someone else mount them
You must not have a Discount Tire close to you I take it, otherwise you'd be getting tires there instead. You seem to have gotten a "good" tech at this store I'll admit. But most of these guys are poorly trained. At anytime did Austin "counterbalance" your wheels? Typically you're supposed to move the weight around to zero it out, not add more. Thats a skill rarely taught at WalMart. I knew how to do it when I worked there. And I can tell you this also, anti-seize can cause a false torque from the hydraulic pressure. Same reason you don't put it on head-bolts. IDK why WalMart keeps using that crap.
Not had any problems with balance. Just rotated the tires myself a couple weeks ago. Steel lug nuts to steel rims locks in pretty good!
I haven’t been to discount tire in over a decade due to them snapping 2 lug studs off my F250. I patronize Walmart for smaller tires, I use a local private tire shop for custom tires 35” and larger!
You are lucky to be able to walk around while the tech was doing the work my shop manager and my accm would’ve said no because of safety reasons and also he balanced them wrong it should’ve been dynamic and static not just dynamic
Unfortunately the Walmart I work at, the guys only static balance tires. I myself do dynamic/static together on the Coats 1400 but on the 3D 1600 I pro balance everything. Only way to go. Ever go to Walmart in Olean, NY request they be balanced both dynamic and static together. I have never had one over .25 static when properly dynamic balanced.

Walmart isn't known for it's customer service by ANY means. But sometimes a person might spot the camera and TRY HARD to not be tooo embarrassing. Also, they will perform for the right tip...........!

There one thing that the tire technician forgot to do or you didn't get it on video...I didn't see him replace the TPMS service pack on the TPMS sensor...must be replaced ever tire service...

It's not a 100% requirement. They can be inspected most times. The leak/ failure generally comes from corrosion under the valve stem, which is something that should be assessed.. I work at a good reputable shop, that is not a chain/ franchise. We replace a good many of them, but not every one of them... When I actually did work at Walmart TLE, which I moved on from years ago, the TPMS valves were locked in the TPMS cabinent that management had to open. As ridiculous as that sounds, it's the way it was, and one of the many reasons why I would suggest not going to one of them
@@classicboatworks9876 My TPMS indicator light went on after I got new tires from Walmart. I brought it back to them the following day but the technician who replaced the tires couldn't figure out what's wrong and even insisted that there are no TPMS sensors on the wheels. Now I'm waiting to see the manager on the weekend as the lady in front says he could be the best person to check it out. I really don't want that kid get fired, I just want to know what's going on why the TPMS indicator is on.

Sidewalls were cracking/splitting. Tires were 7 years old.
Not supposed to use impact on those locking lug nuts.

$20 per tire, including mounting, balanced, new valve stems and disposal of old tires. Cheaper than the local small shops. Most wanted $30 per tire.

HELP PLEASE. Walmart put new tires on 2016 Nissan Rogue (90kmiles) and 2014 Nissan Altima (53kmiles); before getting new tires vehicles were driving straight. Rogue - first I have changed rear tires in Rogue at Walmart, after that I noticed the vehicle pulls to the right and I went to Pepboys because Walmart does not have the wheel alignment service; Pepboys fixed the issue but gave me wrong printout from another vehicle, later I went to Walmart to rotate the tires and after that vehicle started pulling left, so I went for realignment to Pepboys again, they fixed that but the printout still says that one of alignments is out of the recommended specs??? SHALL I GO TO PEPBOYS AGAIN MAYBE AT DIFFERENT LOCATION? Altima - changed front tires first at Walmart and vehicle started shaking at higher speeds, so I went to Walmart again and asked them to rebalance the front and put new tires in the rear; after that I removed the wheel cups and I noticed that the weight they put was not attached at all to the wheel (so I returned back to Walmart and I lost the weight on the way) to rebalance the tire again. Today they rebalanced the left front tire but the vehicle started pulling to the right. PLEASE HELP? ARE THOSE MECHANICS SUBBOTAGING CARS in order to get more work/money??? Today AM there were 4 mechanics at Walmart in Mulberry, FL but no vehicles being serviced.

He must have been paid by walmart for this BS video. I actually bought my tires at walmart and had them installed based on this video. What I got is the most F'd up tire installation and balancing I have ever experienced in my 65 years. Ineptitude at its finest for sure. First I had an appointment and was told it would be done in an hour to finish. After shopping in the grocery section with a cart full of frozen goods and meat for an hour, I was told it would be another hour!!!. I had to put all my perishable food back. When I finally picked up my truck, I was shocked. They used outside rim weights to balance my custom wheels instead of inside stick on weights....looks like hell. They didn't even bother removing my old stick on weights either, which made the cluster F of outside weights even worse. I just wanted to get the heck out of there so I drove it home. Next morning my front tire was flat and another was low. I took it back to walmart to get it fixed. They said the beads were leaking. No Walmart service for me from now on. I am going to have to take it to a reputable tire center to have all tires done correctly now....damn it!!!!
