I love the lyrics of this song's chorus in that it relates to When They Cry: Kai's anime adaptation. The 'You're not a flower of hell'(flower of hell being the title) nicely represents the way the character of Rika is trying to escape the 'hell' of hinamizawa, and the song is to her telling her that she's not an element of the hell in the village, and should leave because she's not a part of the evil. Another reason it's a song to specifically Rika is because(spoilers until after the next paragraph) of the way she can (with the help of Hanyuu) see and remember events through multiple timelines, meaning she's the only one who knows how truly trapped everyone is and how hellish the reality of Hinamizawa is. It can also be interpreted as a song to Miyo Takano(spoilers) because in her defeat and introduction it shows us that at heart her intentions were not evil, and it's saying she 'shouldn't bloom' in these evil aspirations. The first intro to the anime (called 'Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni') is sinister and has themes of being unable to escape, as well as showing scary and evil imagery, so it represents the question arc's confusion and dispair. Conversely, Naraku No Hana is all about escaping the hell you're trapped in and hoping for a better future no matter what. This fits Kai well because it's more hopeful and sees the characters try to fight against the control that evil has over Hinamizawa. Just a complicated way to say (like everyone else here) that it's an awesome song.
Every opening definitely represents certain arcs and characters Gou's opening represents Satoko and how betrayed she felt, but still wanting to be with Rika. Analogy represents Rika's desire to still be with Satoko but telling her what she's doing needs to stop
@@Lucifer_Is_Not_Amused the line in I believe what you said that says “She sneered as she declared she wanted it all” makes me think of Major Takano, but IDK if it’s related.
@americandragonist It is from an anime called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and is played as the second theme song of the show. It has a LOT of gore and is a mystery/horror anime, so if that sounds like a show for you I would recommend it! In total it has 4 seasons, but my personal favorite is the second one.
The first time I ever heard this song was when I was little in this sad my little pony video...thanks to Googles new feature I finally found this song. After years.
Is it me, or does the intro somewhat resemble the intro to Skinny Puppy's "Love in Vein". Not that it bothers me. "Higurashi" (1st opening) had a very industrial kind of feel anyway, so if it was intentional, nice tribute!
Its really just a Trance music. Eiko Shimamiya was an *utahime* from a known Trance music group back in the 90's/00's - I've Sound. Just browse their discography to find out that there is more plenty of this kind of music, sang by KOTOKO or Mami Kawada for example, another Utahime's from this group.
i came here back in 2010... i'm here again in 2021... masterpiece.
